BBC News: Reports that the Coalition Government has dropped its Parliamentary timetable Vote for House of Lords reform due to opposition from Conservative backbenchers and the Labour Party.
Lets Get Real:
The Coalition Government is not dropping the idea, it is just allowing the political stream to ebb away, the Conservative leadership needs to get its troops back in line, thus pressure of the Summer recess, also the idea to shame the Labour Party in to supporting the Government, the present opposition is based on short term political strategy. Lets see what happens after Parliament reforms, the Conservative rebels should be on guard, this reform of the House of Lords can not be allowed to pass, it would wreck the UK Constitution, okay it is not written, but that is not the point, even unwritten documents need protection.
