Death in Afghanistan

MOD: Reports that a British Soldier was killed today in Afghanistan, the Soldier was a " Royal Marine from 40 Commando Royal Marines, serving as part of Combined Force Sangin ". Thus since 2001 the UK has lost 290 of its Armed Forces Personnel in Afghanistan, of that total it has lost 256 in combat operations and 34 due to illness, accidents or other incidents.
