The Times: Reports on the latest military operation in Afghanistan, " Operation Together " will clear out the Taliban from Helmand province. The question has to be asked will the operation really clear the Taliban out of the area, or will the Taliban just hide their guns and go back and hide in plain sight. The military operation comes due to the surge by President Obama, the strategic question that has to be asked are the Taliban waiting the surge out, as Obama stated in his surge speech the operation has in till mid 2011 then the troops will start to come home. The risk for the Taliban is that if they just wait out the surge the Kabul Government could gain control of the whole country. Thus it will be interesting to see who is right when it comes to strategy, Obama or the Taliban.
