New York Times: Interesting interview with Senator Obama in the paper. The Senator is moving left, he needs to the Liberal base of the Democratic Party to support him in Iowa over Senator Edwards. The move to the left is a mistake, willing to talk to Iran with no conditions is a massive error in judgement. The NYT states the following, " The suggestion, which emerged as a flash point in the campaign, has prompted Mrs. Clinton to question whether such an approach would amount to little more than a propaganda victory for the United States’ adversaries and to question the experience of Mr. Obama,... " . The NYT is split, it supports Hillary because it thinks she can win but really in its hearts of hears supports Obama. Thus while pointing out problems with the Obama plan it less than critical. It points out all the old Clinton hands that are helping Obama. The 2008 race after the debate is a lot more interesting to political geeks.
A look at the Politics of the United States and the UK. The Foreign Policies of both countries and how they behave in the International Community.

Further Debate Fallout!
LA Times: The Liberal LA Times has a point about the the debate performance of Senator Clinton, " An unseemly impatience also was evident in Clinton's reaction to jousts from her opponents on policy issues. " If Clinton is rattled by this how will she cope when the Republican attack machines starts to air adverts in important states.
Washington Post: Makes an important point the gloves are off in the Democratic race, the Post writes the following, "strategists for all the Democratic contenders agreed that the debate marked a turning point and would open a newly aggressive phase in the race. " A mistake does not mean a loss just in the next debate Clinton can not afford another disaster in debate performance. Thus look for the following topics to come up till the next debate, Iran, Liberals want to appease, Clinton is a realist, Immigration, want liberal polices this could cost them in the General Election. Then a very important issue that Clinton cant duck, the release of her papers as first lady, she cant have it both ways, if she is running on that she has to release her advice to the President if she gave advice on policy issues. The line that it has nothing to do with her wont stand with Obama and Edwards.
Reagan Time?
The Hill: Interesting article on the 2008 Congressional race. Did spot an interesting view, Senator Schumer's view that the Reagan Era was coming to and end. Lets see President Reagan left office in January 1989 and died in 2004. I think what the Senator does not realise is that in a way the Reagan Era will never end, if the Republicans win the White House in 2008, I would bet it will be a Republican who claims the Reagan mantle. The old liberals views of Senator Schumer ended a long time ago and will never come back.

CNN OR DNN
CNN: I used to be fan of CNN in the early years, but over the years with the arrival of Fox News, one has come to see how much in the pocket of the Democratic Party CNN is at the moment. All the other reports even the New York Times see that Senator Hillary Clinton has a bad debate, CNN underplays the whole debate. What a pity for a great network.
2008 Update
Some articles that might be worth a read:
Washington Post: Interesting view by the WP, they write the following on the political attacks on Clinton, " accusing her of being dishonest and of emboldening President Bush to declare war against Iran. " The article has lot more in Iran, the Elite Media after having been burned by the Iraq war don't have the stomach for a war with Iran. Hillary Clinton to her credit knows that Iran has to be dealt with but that does her no good in the Democratic Party. I have said nice things about Hillary, what a funny world.
Time To the point and factual, " If she loses the nomination, tonight will go down in history as the first step to her defeat " Reagan had a bad debate in 1984 but still won big in November of 84. The Clinton Machine is still going, but it can be prevented from winning by Obama.
RCP Blog: How the debate could effect the race and how the media will keep the story going as they don't want a coronation for Hillary Clinton.
New York Times: Review the Democratic Debate, we are no longer in "Hillary Land" Obama and Edwards on the attack through out the debate. Hillary Clinton is not Bill Clinton, she might win the Democratic nomination but she wont win the General Election, while Obama might not win the nomination but could win the General Election. That is why American Politics is fun.
