Death in Afghanistan

MOD: Reports a British Soldier was shot and killed in Afghanistan on Sunday, the soldier was from the " 2nd Battalion The Duke of Lancaster's Regiment (2 LANCS) ". Thus since 2001 the UK has lost 260 of its Armed Forces Personnel in Afghanistan, of that total it has lost 227 in combat operations and 33 due to illness, accidents and other incidents. So far this month alone the UK has lost 9 soldiers, in 2009 in the same month the UK lost 6 soldiers, one gets the feeling that 2010 will be more bloody than 2009 for UK forces, one has to ask how much more the UK Army can take before this bloody war cripples out forces world wide.
