The Times: Reports that UK military has to borrow ten helicopters from the USA for Operation Panther’s Claw, the UK surge action in Afghanistan. This is WW1 and WW2 again, it come to something when the UK can not afford to transport its own troops, lets be honest and direct here, the economy is in the toilet, we don't have the money, but what ever it takes we need to protect our troops, we cant defend them against IED, and now we cant transport them in safety without the Americans. If we are going to have a Defence Review, lets review if we should be in Afghanistan. The War in Afghanistan is going to take years, and in that process at the end of the day we might be in the same position as we are now, a weak government that can only rule Kabul, the rest of the country under different Tribal and Military Chiefs, the Taliban/Terrorists in the mountains waiting for us to leave. In that time we will have lost many good Armed Forces Personnel and spent billions, and at the end of the day it will have been for nothing, our troops deserve better than, lets review of Afghanistan and get out, lets fund a group in within Afghanistan that will defend UK interests, in other words stop any terrorists attacking the UK.
