Death in Afghanistan

MOD: Reports on the death of another British Soldier in combat operations in Afghanistan. Thus the total of UK Armed Forces Personnel killed in combat now stands at 145. In total the death total for Afghanistan is 174. These include those that have died of accidents, illness or other incidents. As the War in Afghanistan seems never ending this blog will start to name those killed in combat, thus the MOD has named the two soldiers killed on Saturday. On the 4th July the UK lost the following, Lance Corporal David Dennis, from The Light Dragoons and Private Robert Laws, from 2nd Battalion The Mercian Regiment. Our thoughts are with their loved ones.
