Trump BOWS to political pressure to Open the Government - Trump Era

Thus this a 2nd win for the Democrats in Congress, Speaker Pelosi denied the President the House for the State of the Union and NOW the Oval Office has agreed to open the Government without any payment for the Trump Wall.  The Trump base must have worked out NOW that Trump can be rolled and does not keep to his WORD.   It can be postulated that the Trump White House saw the POLLS and were worried about 2020 and the Russia probe.   The Democrats will now think they can run the domestic agenda and just threaten to close the Government if they do not get what they want.   One doubts that the Trump Oval will want to close the Government again, also one presumes that Trump wants to do the State of the Union on the 29th, will the Speaker allow that without more concessions.   The above has shown that Trump is WEAK, Reagan sacked the Air Traffic Controllers when they went on strike, he was a leader, POTUS has shown that he is not great at the deal and  will  NOT stand firm.   The Republicans, well the Cabinet and VP should consider suspending POTUS and stating this is due to the Russia investigation, the Trump Presidency with this defeat and the Russia probe has become a RISK to Republicans in 2020.    Of course it would take the VP to stand up to POTUS. 

Could Roger Stone BRING DOWN Trump? - Trump Era

Lets Get Real:

Mr Stone has stated he will not rollover on the President, that he will not lie for the Special Prosecutor, IF on the other hand Mr Stone is faced with YEARS in jail he could change his mind.   The charges against Mr Stone are FEDERAL, thus POTUS can PARDON him any time, that would scuttle the Special Prosecutor, the extreme LEFT WING media would go up the wall and the House Democrats would impeach him, but that would not matter if Trump can keep his BASE.   The Republican Senators will never impeach Trump if he still has the base, a few could defect but not ENOUGH.    At the end of the day this is about politics not the law, everyone else around Trump might be dragged in but a President has immunity.  It was interesting that CNN was at the Stone arrest, one does not need to be Mr Holmes to work out that they were told either by the FBI or the Special Prosecutor.   The liberal elite press already making the connection to POTUS, that Stone was a long term ally, that Trump surly would have known if Stone was in contact with WikiLeaks and thus Russia. The Oval Office must hope that Stone takes the fall for Russia, like Reagan's National Security Advisor Admiral POINDEXTER did for President Reagan during Iran - Contra.   This would blog would have taken the fall for Reagan, he was a great President, Trump on the other hand is NOT, if Mr Stone is offered a DEAL he should take it, Trump can not be trusted. 

No Brexit on 29/3/2019 ? - Brexit Update - Post Brexit?

Thus it starts folks, the HARD REMAINERS will place pressure on the May Government to extend Article 50, the HARD BREXIT SUPPORTERS have to fight this move, or Democracy is at PERIL in the UK.

This could be a tactic by the PM May to get the HARD REMAINERS to vote for whatever she brings back to the House of Commons, the threat is that BREXIT could be lost.    The Hard Brexit supporters have to remember that the House of Commons is being lead by a Bias Speaker, who wants to STOP BREXIT and is supported by Hard Remain MPs in the House.   It will be interesting to see if there is ANY movement by the EU when it comes to withdrawal treaty and what new plan the PM will have developed for Brexit.   This blog is still convinced that HARD REMAINERS will find a way to STEAL BREXIT and allow a UK Democracy to die a bit, so that they can keep BIG BUSINESS HAPPY.  Next week is going to be very interesting!

Trump's Ex - Lawyer before the US Senate - Trump Era

It will be interesting to see if the Senate Intelligence Committee has a closed or open session when it comes to Mr Cohen, also what are the restrictions agreed with the Special Prosecutor when it comes to the areas the Committee can ask questions about.   Of course the main interest of the Committee is the allegation that Russia collaborated with the Trump Campaign during the 2016 election, the Committee will want to know if Mr Cohen knows if the President had any part, and what are the Trump business links to Russia.   Of course it has to be stated Mr Cohen is going to JAIL for three years, thus it anything he has said or will say is quite suspect, the Republicans can be expected to be tough on him, while the Democrats want something to pin on POTUS.   

Venezuela crisis - Trump Era

BBC News: Reports " Russia has condemned foreign powers for backing a Venezuelan opposition leader who declared himself interim president, calling it a bid to "usurp power".  "

Lets Get Real:

It will be interesting to see how the Venezuelan Crisis plays out, will President Maduro leave Office, while he still has the support of the Russians, will the crisis become violent, how will the armed forces react, will they support the present Government or follow the people.   This could be the real FIRST foreign policy crisis for POTUS, it looks like he will add extra sanctions on Venezuela, the US could take military action, but as the left never cease to point out this would follow a US historical trend.  IF POTUS does take military action it will divert attention from domestic problems, the Democratic Speaker has not power over foreign policy, it would force the Democratic candidates to take sides, would they also take military action or will they support the left wing government of Maduro.   Everything is political these days.

Senator Booker is NOT Barack Obama, he does not have "IT", HE does not have the charisma, the left leaning voters of the Democratic base are not going to HELP the Democrats in 2020.   The FACT that former President Jimmy Carter endorsed him is not going to help the Senator, one can see the Republican Adverts already, do you want another Carter in the Oval Office.   One can see Senators Booker or Harris as VP, the question is who will be the nominee, not Senator Warren, President Trump would love her as the Democratic nominee, her attempts to explain why she thought she was a native American were foolish, even the Native American tribe she claimed to be part of disavowed her, also she is LIBERAL Democrat from a State that has produced two failed Presidential bids, in 1988 and 2004.  What about former VP Biden, he would appeal to white working class, but he has tried to run before and has failed, also lets be very honest here, he is OLD and has a FOOT IN THE MOUTH problem.  Also he is pandering to the liberal base, he has stated that he regrets supporting tough criminal laws in the 1980s and 1990s.  This might go down well on the East and West Coast but what about the rust belt States, he is ahead in the polls become people know the name, the race has not started yet.    This blog is still waiting for that candidate you like, leads and it not lead, liberal on social issues but tough on foreign policy, thus far not very impressed, POTUS could WIN big in 2020.

In removing the invite from POTUS to give the State of the Union speech in the House Chamber the Speaker has played in to the HANDS of President Trump, it was petty and he got his own back by removing her plane to fly to Afghanistan.   This blog would not put it pass POTUS to drive to the Capital and give the speech on the Capital steps, just to make the Speaker look foolish and under the control of her extreme LIBERAL BASE.    The Media would have to cover it, or the Oval Office could do or a Presidential Rally.   The Republican base will be happy if the Oval puts two fingers up to the elite media and liberal pols.   Whatever you think of Trump he hits back HARD, he will make the Speaker and Democrats sorry for this SNUB, how long will the Trade Unions support the Democrats if they are not getting their monthly income from their members.   The Democrats now control the House, they are part of the US Government, but they do not control the Senate or the Presidency, the Oval will make Democratic Candidates own what the House does, the Speaker needs to control her LIBERAL BASE or they could cost the Democrats the OVAL in 2020.
