The White House and the Senate Majority Leader should be placing pressure on Republican Senators to fall in to line, those that are seeking re-election should be reminded that a angry President can make sure that any requests from a Senator for funding in her or his State can be rejected.   That fund raising for the next election could be hit, the American election cycle is never over, it is endless.   The Democrats have stalled the process for a week, they can not be allowed to derail the process.   The election of 2016 has results.

The Republican Senator Jeff Flake has shown that he has NO BACKBONE, after a few critical comments by a woman he wants it both ways, he wants to allow Judge Kavanaugh to go before the FULL SENATE, but wants the FBI to carry out an investigation over a incident that took place over thirty years ago, and wants a report done by the FBI in under a week.   It is up to the Oval Office to say yes or no to a the FBI request, the Oval should say NO and force Flake either to vote for Kavanaugh or not, make it clear to other Republicans the political cost of voting NO.   Time for reality to be shown to the weak Republican Senators.

This blog has been silent since the EU Summit on the May Brexit Plan, the blog approved the tough words of the PM the following day, and the Labour Party conference still left this blog confused, so Labour supports a new Brexit vote but can not make up its mind what the question should be, in others words  a fudge.    The Conservative Party Conference starts this weekend, the PM can not keep to her Brexit plan, the EU has said NO, the majority of hard Brexit supporters have said NO and now Labour has stated that it will vote down any plan.   The PM should go for a HARD BREXIT, make the EU come to her for talks, give them five minutes to pitch, make it hard, and please her Conservative MPs.   As far as this blog knows there have been no more talks between the UK and the EU, something has to give or it will be a HARD BREXIT, and that would NOT BE A BAD THING.

The Republicans in the Senate should push for a early vote on Judge Kavanaugh, the Democrats and the elite liberal press, print and tv will look for other smear stories.  Washington D.C has developed a secular blood sport, the destruction of careers based on long ago allegations.   As this blog stated a few weeks ago, the liberal elite since the late Reagan Era have gone out to destroy Republican nominees for the US Supreme Court, time to call their bluff, make Senators from Conservative States either vote for Judge Kavanaugh or against, politics is a dirty business, it is an art from not a science, time for Republicans to place pressure on their own Senators for a quick vote on the Judge.  President Trump did win in 2016.

It can be argued that that the #MeToo movement has gone to far, the left is bringing up cases based on he said, she said, also if you have ever been in University/College are you saying you NEVER did anything that you would like to keep quiet, also memory is a funny old thing, later years changes your memories of events, does bad sex equal rape, it has to be asked.   If you go to University do you want to spend your entire time in your room, never going to parties, never hitting it off with another person, then thinking better of it after having a drink.  It  the LEFT are really after Judge Kavanaugh then they should go after his legal record as a Judge.   One can only hope that Judge Kavanaugh is confirmed by the Senate.   Bad sex should not equal rape or assault

The PM should strike BACK HARD, she should state while the Labour Party is having its annual conference that the UK will leave the EU with no deal and that it will give the monies it was going to give to the EU to the NHS.   Then force Labour and the Liberal Democrats to come out in support of the EU.  It is trench warfare out there and the EU is not playing by the rules, time to hit them in their most important place, that is money, make them beg for OUR money.  It is time for the PM not to give an inch, time to fight fire with fire.   The Germans and the French are playing hardball, well let's remind them the UK can play hardball, we did win two World Wars, we know how to PLAY HARD.

If PM May wants to carry on she has to be tough with the EU, no more Mr Nice Guy, she has to be tough, she should state at the Conservative Party Conference that the UK is leaving the EU with no deal, that the fault lies with the EU, that the UK will not give a penny to the EU, let them take us to Court, the UK Government will decide how UK monies are spent.    The HARD REMAINERS will want more concessions, the HARD BREXIT supporters have to come out fighting, this is hard trench warfare, not an inch should be given.   Time for the UK to be the UK.

The UK Government should walk away from the EU, they May Government has tried to get a deal and has been humiliated by the EU, the Conservative right never supported the May deal while the Labour Party has made it clear that it will reject any deal.   The PM should ask what a Churchill or a Thatcher would do in such a case.   It can be argued that they would have WALKED, make the EU come to London and give them 5 minutes to discuss what they want, time to show the EU why the UK won two World Wars.

It took me time to get around the idea that the new Doctor would be female, yes the writers and crew over the years have shown that Time Lords can be either male or female.  Yet my spider sensors were up, will the viewers take to female Doctor, this is a BIG STEP for Doctor Who, but then the Doctor is about change, looking forward not back, and yes if you do not become a fan, you have episodes going back to 1963 to look at, there have  been 12 Doctors, and nearly all their episodes are in the vaults or on DVD.  Thus lets look forward to a female Doctor, Space and Time needs a kick up the backside sometimes, and Missy will have a fit, never mind River and Rose, yes the new writer said that the new Doctor will not be about the past, but the Doctor has been married a few times, and has children through time and space, as a female Doctor one would be nice to see the Doctor face up to his actions, the Doctor is always on the run, even Time Lords have to grow up sometime.

This blog is not sure what the hard Brexit supporters are being critical off, they want a HARD BREXIT, a no deal with the EU would cut ties with the EU and allow the UK to regain its Sovereign power.   The PM is making a risky and brave move, she is hoping that enough Conservatives and Labour MPs when faced with a no deal Brexit will vote for her Brexit.    Thus expect endless more stories about Brexit over the next eight weeks.

It is has been interesting watching the BBC News and Sky News coverage of the latest EU developments, they are so remain they can not see that they have take a side, well the BBC has always been a HARD REMAINER, that is the problem when yours major TV channels are in the liberal elite urban areas.   PM May should be tough with the EU, its my way or the high way, she has to make it clear that the Conservative Party will not put up with a closer relationship between the UK and the EU.   Thus the EU has to move, it has to give ground, there are are further eight weeks for talks before a deal should be done, expect the HARD REMAINERS and their press friends to scream from the roof tops that he UK should stay in the EU.   It is strange how liberals are very un-liberal when democracy does not follow their path.

The House of Lords have to be careful, at this rate the Conservatives will go in the next General Election with a pledge to either remove the House of Lords or cut their powers to mere symbolic gestures.    The people have decide, they want out of the EU, if their Lords prove to be a problem then they could shaft themselves out of office.   There will be more stories likes this in the coming weeks and months from the hard remainers.   This blog can not wait in till March 2019.

The UK should have have been tougher at the start of the talks with the EU.   The EU thinks that the UK will take anything on offer, they might not have understood the political pressure that PM May is under, if it is true that 80 Conservative MPs will vote against her Brexit Plan and the Labour Party will also vote no then the Brexit deal will fail in the House of Commons.   The EU should backtrack and fast, they need a deal as much as PM May, without UK money the EU will have to ask other EU countries such as Germany to give more to the EU, this  will not go down well with the taxpayers of Germany.  The poorer EU states might find tha funds from the EU go down, thus it is important that both the EU and the UK get a fair deal.  Time is running out.

This is the Conservatives in their endless mode of plotting when it comes to Brexit, thus far this week we have seen a former Minister say that 80 Conservative MPs will vote against the May Brexit plan, leading business figures are shouting that there needs to be a deal, and now the hard right of the Conservative Party is plotting to get rid of the PM, it is reported that they are looking at April after Brexit.   The Conservatives should wait in till after Brexit, March 2019 and then get rid of May, change the deal after the UK has left the EU, do not allow short political aims to undermine the UK leaving the EU.   When it comes to Brexit, this blog is only going for the highlights, nearly every day there is something that will either make the hard remainers happy or the hard Brexit supporters happy.   Of late the EU has been giving good signals that a deal could come, that should make the hard remainers happy, while at the same time the Conservative Government is making it clear that if WE do not get the deal we want then they UK will not give money to the EU.   There will be more days like this over the next few months.

Thus explosive rhetoric by the former Foreign Secretary, it can be argued that over the past few weeks Boris Johnson has seen his chance of BEING PM going over a cliff.   The talks are going on with the EU, and the EU fearing it won't get the billions from the UK could give a deal that PM May could sell to the House of Commons.  If it is a SOFT Brexit will the hard remainers vote against, will the LABOUR PARTY vote against it, the hard Brexit supporters are the unknown opposition, will they risk losing Brexit over how the UK leaves the EU.   The will be more angry debates within the Conservative Party, while Labour has its own internal problems.   Politics is back!!

The Confirmation of  US Supreme Court Judge in the US has become a secular blood sport, either side trying to block a Judge if they think he or she is to Conservative or Liberal.  The process started in the late 1980s when Democrats blocked a Reagan appointment to the High Court, since then it has become a trench warfare, this is time it is a Conservative Judge under the hammer.   It can be expected that the Democrats will try to paint the candidate as  a racist, anti woman, you name it and they will try to throw mud.   The American people voted for Trump and they wanted a Conservative Judge, thus the will of the US voter must be respected.

There are always critical books on Presidents during their terms, even the great Reagan had a few at the end of his term, the trick is to show success on the domestic and international front.  The US economy under Trump is blazing away, on the international front the US is talking to North Korea, even through it can be argued that North Korea has conned the Trump Oval, as it has done with past Presidents.   On Iran the US has increased sanctions, we shall see what develops from this move, on trade the Trump Oval has done a deal with Mexico, Canada is still in discussions.  It would be foolish to write off Trump yet, politics is an art not a science.

As noted in this blog, the home for the hard Remainers is BBC News, Sky News and the Guardian, they will try to undermine any attempt for the UK to leave the EU.   As the Holiday season has come to an end the hard Brexit supporters have to come out of their fox holes and carry the fight on to social media.   Throughout August the hard Remainers have had the field, it is time for the Hard Remainers as in the shape of Boris Johnson came out and carried the fight to the House of Commons and to the press as he has already started.

As the articles notes, Woodward is part of the press Establishment, has produce books on every administration since Nixon.  The liberal press will love the book, it sounds very negative on Trump.   One finds it hard to defend Trump, all the negatives and his debasing of the Presidency, make him unfit to be POTUS.   One can only hope that Democrats take over the House in November and push to impeach Trump, the US would be better off and so would the World.

This blog has been very wary to discuss this subject, as the answer is complicated and in this day and age, all the readers of social media want is simple, bad and good.   It can be argued that Jeremy Corbyn is NOT an anti - semite, he is JUST anti Israel.   This blog supports Israel in nearly all its actions and opposes idea that you can have a Palestinian State, any such State would be a threat to Israel, Iran would use the State to attack Israel at close quarters.  It can be argued that Corbyn is a old left wing fool, he does not see the damage his stand is taking on Labour, the moderates in the Labour Party for the sake of LABOUR should split.

Thus the Brexit battle returns to the trenches, the relative peace of the August holidays has give away to a final battle of role of the UK in the EU and afterwards.  The Brexit supporters made a mistake of leaving the field in August, the Hard remainers supported by BBC New, Sky News and the Guardian having been pushing for a 2nd Brexit vote.   The impression has been allowed to develop that the UK voter wants a 2nd vote, its trench warfare out there in cyber space, if you want Brexit support the hard Brexit supporters who want a firm Brexit.
