Telegraph: Reports " UK and EU could agree 'multi-annual' Brexit deals for some fishing rights..Hint that UK could soften demand for annual negotiations over fishing opportunities is latest sign compromise deal could be found "
Lets Get Real:
Thus the gradual process of EU/UK deals is showing some fruits, one hopes. As stated watching EU/UK trade talks is like watching paint dry, and watching the paint dry is more fun. It soulds like both sides will move a bit, concessions on both sides, not enough to break the deal, or cause opposition to come the fore. It can be argued that the UK voter wants to end the links with the EU, but given the Covid - 19 PANDEMIC, the UK and EU economies need time to recover, thus a short term deal might be good, allow for the natural economy to come back, let's recall the UK will have spent 350 billion pounds on reacting to the virus by the end. The PM should be firm with the EU, deal by the end of this month or else we go on WTO rules. This is not the time for wish washy talks with the EU, decisions need to be made and sold to the House of Commons and the voters.
