AV Referendum 2011

Guardian: Reports that the result of the AV referendum of 2011 will have a major effect on all the political parties and their leaders. The AV referendum is a major need win for Nick Clegg, he has to keep his Liberal Democrat supporters on side, a loss in the referendum could raise questions about the Coalition with the Conservative Party, on the Tory side nearly all Conservatives will oppose the change in the voting system. The Coalition PM David Cameron needs to throw some bones to the Lib Dems to keep them on board. It Labour that has a split on the referendum, over a hundred Labour MPs have come out in opposition to the change, while Ed Miliband supports the move, thus showing again that " Red " Ed was not the choice of the Labour MPs.
