Lets Get Real:
This blog gives credit to the Obama Oval over its policy of not allowing itself to get rattled by the North Korean Regime, the Oval does not want to see itself blackmailed as was Bill Clinton and Bush 43, the US has shown its support for its allies, South Korea and Japan by having bomber drills and sending in US Navel vessels to show the North that any military threat will not be allowed to cause a crisis in the region. It can be argued that Jimmy Carter should be sent to North Korea to see what they want, Carter is so loathed by the right, thus any deal he makes would be suspect, thus the Oval would have to be VERY CLEAR to Carter that it has to be real deal, one in which the North gives up its nuclear ambitions, and does not sell its technology to Iran or any other rouge States. Then if the North Koreans agree to such a deal and keep to it, in word and faith then the North Korean Regime can be bought back in to the international system, of course the operative word is IF, one has doubts that this road will be taken, Israel would be suspect of the Oval, and then you could have a nuclear arms race in the Middle East, thus the failure of US policy towards North Korea since 1994.
