Daily Mail: Reports on inflammatory comments made by then NSA Henry Kissinger in the Nixon White House when it came to Jewish pressure groups and the US relationship with the USSR. Lets recall Kissinger was the National Security Adviser to Nixon, also Mr Kissinger is Jewish, thus in Nixon Oval the NSA had to be seen and act tough with Israel, also as the article notes Kissinger did take up the issues that worried the Jewish groups when it came to the USSR. Also Mr Kissinger as NSA and Secretary of State with President Nixon had broad plans for US security, thus the opening of China, better relationship with the USSR, end of the Vietnam War, Israel a close US ally would have never been allowed to fall but that didn’t stop the pressure from the Jewish Lobby in the US, even Carter and Reagan asked about their power. Thus unfortunate comments from Mr Kissinger but in the context of the pressures of the period one can understand the outburst and the its background.
