Former Chancellor Darling on Brown - Brown Era

Guido Fawkes Blog: Reports on the extracts from the memoir of the last Labour Chancellor of the Exchequer, Alistair Darling, how the relationship broke down between Alistair Darling and PM Brown, how the present Shadow Chancellor, Ed Balls ran a shadow Treasury Unit from 10 Downing Street, how PM Brown tried to spy on the Treasury, and finally how Brown wanted to sack Darling and replace him with Ed Balls. These are the festering wounds still at the heart of the Labour Party, how such a divisive character Mr Balls is, how he was seen as the hatched man for Brown. If these are the extracts in the book then the new leadership will have some tough questions to answer, can Mr Ed Miliband trust Balls, who is the real master of Balls, Brown or Miliband. In seems that PM Brown did not learn from his battles with Tony Blair, the fight just moved on for Brown from Blair to Darling.
