Ed Miliband’s 1st Speech as Leader

Iain Dale's Diary: The Conservative Blogger Iain Dale writes the following on Ed Milibands first speech as Labour Leader, “.. am not sure the Conservatives have an awful lot to worry about…The speech was ponderous, lacked pace and at times you could see the audience wondering when it was going to finish. ”. As stated in previous post Ed Miliband does not have that IT factor, when you see it you know, the BBC showed old footage of Tony Blair from 1994 and 2006 and he had it on both occasions. Recall seeing old footage of JFK from his Campaign for the Democratic nomination in 1960, even in black and white JFK had it, you cant fake IT, you can be as earnest as you want, someone should tell Ed Miliband he is no JFK, in the speech some sections Miliband had rewritten JFK Inaugural Passage! It was an okay speech, long, far to long, it’s a problem Bill Clinton had, he sometimes made a good speech and then he just went on and on, your not writing a Doctorate, should be short and snappy, lets see how Tony Blair reacts to the attack on the Iraq War. The Coalition should take Ed Miliband seriously, he did stab his own brother in the back, but the weakness for Miliband could be policy. Grade 5/10.
