The New York Times: Reports that former US President Bill Clinton has arrived in the Stalinist North Korea, the trips mission is to release the two US reports held by North Korea, but a by product could be discussions on the North Korea's Nuclear testing and missiles tests. The sending of former President to North Korea has a history, Bill Clinton as President sent Jimmy Carter to freeze the nuclear development of North Korea, the former President got a deal that North Korea broke the very next day, thus the present problems with North Korea. Also it sends the wrong message, it looks weak, even worse it makes Obama look weak, North Korea get a former President, who is the husband of the Secretary of State, for talks, all they have done is create massive tension in the region, Obama really could be Neville Chamberlain, also Obama has to be careful that Bill Clinton does not do Jimmy Carter on him, get a deal that looks good but turns out not to be worth the paper its written on, the agreement that Carter got in the mid 1990's. I guess Obama thought its August, the Congress in recess, the media are also on holiday, thus send Bill Clinton out to see if he can get the the US reporters out and get a deal on the nuclear structure of North Korea.
