CNN News: Reports that President Obama is back tracking on the idea that he has offered a deal to Russia, if they help with Iran and their nuclear plans, the USA will not place missile defence in Eastern Europe. The problem is that even if Russia wanted to help they cant when it comes to Iran, Iran has seen how much attention Pakistan gets, the reason is that Pakistan is a nuclear power. Iran wants to become a nuclear armed power, Russia cant help with Iran, it having kittens because of Ronald Reagan and SDI. Also it sees Eastern Europe as her backyard, they have not gotten over the end of the USSR. Obama will just have to accept the fact that if he wants a policy of containment for Iran he will need to annoy Russia and place missile defence in Eastern Europe.
