Those very rich in Russia might find their social calendar is upset but they have the money either to leave or carry on as they are, its the poor people at the bottom end who will get hurt. Putin is rebuilding the reputation of Stalin, yes the major mass murder of the Russian people, he wants to be seen as a major historical figure.
