Thus from this perspective Obama has gained some political credit form recent events but still has not regained the trust of Independents and moderate Republicans. Lets be clear polls are snapshots of a limited period, but Obama must worry that he is not even over 50% in average polls, that being the Gallup Poll. The Obama White House needs a hard pivot to the right, the question is can Obama tell his base to get lost, does have the backbone, does he want a second term.
