The Real Politics of Health Care Reform

The New York Times: Reports on the political pressure on the Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, the NYT writes the following, " If for some reason members of his caucus balk and join Republicans in opposing a motion to proceed to the legislation,....( Reid ) can always make changes...." In other words the US Senate has to do some shadow boxing to save the political career of Senator Reid. The Senator can now tell the extreme wing of his party that he has tried to get a public option but he didn't have the votes, how much time will this waste, and what about the poor American people, will any reform be worth the paper its written on, have my doubts folks.
