A New Poll - USA Election
CNN News: Reports in a new poll that the USA Presidential Race is tied. The Poll found the following, Obama 49% - McCain 48. In a close race you have to give the Presidency to McCain, one has to factor in to any result from the polls the fact that people will tell the pollsters one thing and vote in a different manner, harsh but the truth. Obama needs to get a big lead in the double digits to make up for those voters who say they will vote for Obama but fact have a problem with an African - American President. The next two months is going to be a very long race and heated between the Campaigns.
Scandal in the Homeland ?
BBC News: Reports that the daughter of Sarah Palin, the Governor of Alaska and the VP to McCain is in the family way. This in a odd way might help McCain, as the daughter is getting married and is keeping the baby, this story will appeal to Social Conservatives one level, if not that impressed by the story itself, also it will show that Palin has to deal with modern issues that in a common factor in the families around the USA.

Bush to Miss Republican Convnetion
BBC News: Reports that President Bush will miss the Republican Convention due to Hurricane Gustav. This works both ways for McCain, on the hard political front, Bush is not popular thus McCain does not have to have Bush at the Convention, and on the PR front McCain can show leadership, should Gustav be the disaster as it is expected, McCain can have tone down convention and show Presidential Material by his action this week.

Zogby Poll: Reports that after the Democratic Convention and the Speech by Obama and the selection of the Governor of Alaska as the VP to McCain, McCain is ahead of Obama. The Poll finds the following, McCain 47% - Obama 45%. Lets see what the Tracking Polls show over the next few days, is this a trend or a fluke, if a trend then Obama has a fight on his hands to win in November.
