The New York Times: Reports on the planning in the Pentagon to get troops out of Iraq, but not in the Time Table of Obama. From the report it can be seen that the Times in so not happy, lets be honest the Liberal Times would rather lose a WON war than change its left liberal view of the world. The Times writes the following, " In the campaign, Mr. Obama said he would not hesitate to overrule his commanders. By early December, however, he signaled some flexibility when he said that he still wanted combat troops out of Iraq in 16 months but that he would also listen to the recommendations of his generals. " The economic recession that we now face could turn in to another Depression, thus the USA can not fight two Wars, Iraq and Afghanistan. In selecting Robert Gates to stay at Defence President - Elect Obama with his statements and staff leaks has shown that he will not pander to the New York Times. The USA will get out of Iraq but with honour, not within his sixteen month time frame but close, its better to be seen as a victor not a failure, just ask President Carter what the voters think of defeat. It will be interesting to see how the Liberal New York Times deals with Iraq with Obama in the Oval Office.
