The new Obama Administration with Robert Gates at Defence will get the USA out of Iraq with honour. How history will treat Bush 43 will depend how his successors manage the their problems. It can be argued that Bush 43 might not be the successor to Reagan, the bailout of different sectors negates that result but he might be the successor to President Truman, not a bad category.
