At the end of the day, a President of the United States must have confidence in his Secretary of State, if for nothing else as to allow the Secretary to his job!! Of course in the modern era foreign policy comes out of the White House, with twitter it is more of a problem, a President like Trump causes massive problems for the State Department, they like clear communication, diplomacy not the ravings for a bored President.  The President should be able to chose his own Secretary of State and sack him or her if they are no longer of use, thus the point with Tillerson.   D.C will be full of gossip to see who shall be the next Secretary of State.

The UK Government has to be clear to the EU and the Irish Government that Northern Ireland goes the way of the rest of the UK, that the North can not be treated as part or separate from the UK, there can not be two deals when it comes to the North.   The DUP will bring down the Government should PM May try to please the EU and Dublin, the UK population of the North has made it clear it wants to remain part of the UK, thus for the sake of democracy of both the North and UK the EU deal has to be about the whole of the UK not parts.

The HARD BREXIT MPs of the Conservative Party should reject this blackmail of a deal.  In essence we are giving EU neary 60 billion pounds just for a trade deal.   That sixty billion could have helped with a HARD BREXIT, this is nothing more than appeasing the moaning remainers of the Conservative Party and half of the Labour Party.   One can only hope that Conservative MPs call for PM May to go if this is the best she can come up with in talks with the EU.  The LEFT WING media, as is the Guardian and BBC News will be overjoyed, they can suckle again at the chest of the EU, while the rest of the UK has to go through austerity.  IF the PM was tough she would walk away with honour and tell the EU to get stuffed and force Labour to vote to give 60 billion to the EU, this is shameful day for the UK.

This easy for HRC to be critical of President Trump, if she had won in 2016 would she be so easy on North Korea, the first woman POTUS, one has doubts.   It could be that HRC is thinking of running again in 2020, this time as more of a LEFT WING candidate, what else left for her to do, my suggestion that she run for the House seems to have fallen on deaf ears.   The Oval Office should no nothing with North Korea, this is just NK wanting attention, if you give them that they will make money demands, as they have in the past.   The Oval Office should only react if North Korea launches a missile that gets close to Guam or the mainland US.  One last reason that the Oval Office should react should NK test a above ground nuclear missile, that would be a stark escalation, the best thing to do is just ignore North Korea.

POTUS is playing to his base, he wants any Government closed down to be the fault of the Democrats, he knows that the bases wants TAX CUTS not TAX INCREASES, the Democrats always want to increase taxes, Bush 41 promised no new taxes in 1988 and then folded once in power, this cost him his re-election in 1992.   The Oval has to try and get the Republicans in the Senate to pass a tax cut, that would be a great victory.

The Republicans are always on safe ground when they support tax cuts, limited government and being tough on Russia, on this last part the Trump Oval is far to nice to the Russians, whatever the reason.  One does wonder if the old FSB, the successor to the KGB has anything on Trump, otherwise why is POTUS so nice to the Russians.

I must admit in advance that supported HRC vs. Donald Trump, the first time this blog has ever supported the Clintons, and was shocked at the result, even if my political gut made me place  a £5 bet on the Donald winning.  Also I have bought the book " What Happened " as my Christmas read.   HRC should think about running for the House in 2018, something for her to do, IF she has any thought of running for the Presidency in 2020 someone needs a quiet word with her, she is a very talented lady, she could do a lot of good work in the House.   The Charity idea might not be a good idea, the Clinton Foundation caused her problems, also people and countries gave money on the idea that HRC would win in 2020, a new charity would not have that problem.  HRC might become a President of a Univeristy, something like that, it would be loss to politics if HRC went quiet.

Thus the endless cycle of the American Presidential election starts now, expect POTUS to target Warren a lot, the view from the Oval is that Warren or Sanders will be the leading candidates for the Democratic nominee, that surly is the sole reason that this news was the main story on NBC News.    The Democratic Party of Bill Clinton has gone VERY LEFT, the voters in the Democratic Primaries are on the left, and they think their candidate was robbed in 2016 by the Democratic elite, thus this time they will want a left wing candidate, that would be a disaster for the Democrats, that kind of candidate will fail badly in the rust belt States.   Also we have the 2018 Mid Terms, the Democrats should take the House and the Senate after the failure of Trump to ge this agenda through this year, if they fail in that then they will have a hard time in 2020.

At least POTUS is showing some decency by not campaigning for Judge Roy Moore, the Judge has various sexual allegations against him by women who you tend to believe.   The Trump Oval should have forced Moore out when it had the chance, the President has his own sexual allegations, that is not a reason for not doing anything.  One can only hope that the good people of Alabama write in a Republican name do or do not vote.    The politics of the US has become very partisan, that is no reason for there not to be decency in US public life.

Thus far Hillary Clinton has blamed everyone from the FBI to the Russians for her defeat, it is not fair to blame President Obama, this blog had issues with the Obama Administration but it has to be said that President Obama stated his legacy was on the line in 2016 and supported HRC as best he could.   Let's recall that in modern history only one VP has been the successor to his boss, the President, that was Bush 41 who took over from President Reagan.   In 2000 Al Gore the sitting Vice President lost to Bush 41, in 2008 Senator McCain lost to President Obama, and it can be argued that Bill Clinton and Obama are rather good politicians.   It would be interesting to study what President Reagan did different from his successors that allowed his VP to win, a Ph.d of worthy of study.

This is good news for the Conservative Party after the scandals and forced resignations.  The left wing media pundits are fighting the next election as if it was the last election, the same mistake that old Generals do in Wartime.   Of course the polls could be wrong or the UK voter does not have a tax death wish and does not want Corbyn anywhere near No 10.  The Budget today was good for first time buyers with houses under three hundred thousand, no tax on them, but what about TAX CUTS for the wealthy, that is how you increase money in the economy.   The Government should have taken a swing at taxes, personal and business rates.   The Conservative Government is walking on hot coals, best to make a run for it, low taxes etc, than just go coal by coal.  TAX CUTS ARE THE FUTURE.

The Office of the Presidency is more than just a political office, it represents the US to the World.   The fact that POTUS has come out in support of Judge Moore is appalling, LBJ once was told that he could lose the Presidency over supporting civil rights, he replied it was the right thing to do, never mind the political costs, and LBJ WAS  as political as anyone could have been.   The Presidency is a MORAL Office, what POTUS has done will cause damage to the Presidency for years to come, no other President would have done this, today POTUS has lost the respect of those who might have had a slight fondness for the man.   Bad day for Democracy. 

The LEFT and Brexit - Post Brexit Talks

In other words the Conservative Government has rolled over and accepted that it has to pay more to the EU, when even after the House of Lords stated that the UK did not owe the EU a farthing.   If the left Guardian is supporting the Government over this issue that means it is wrong, the Conservative Government should have walked away from the EU deal.   The UK PM wants to keep the remainers happy, what about the UK voters, they are sick and tired of hearing about the EU and that is just the remainers, time for the Conservative backbenchers to oppose the latest policy, we are appeasing Europe. 

The UK should walk away and do deals with the US and the rest of the World, the Trump Administration has made it clear we could get  a fast deal with them and join NAFTA, of course that depends on NAFTA still being around, the US under Trump has problems with the deal, thus a good time for the UK to make a bold move and do a deal with the US under Trump.

The DUP should have a VETO over UK talks over Brexit when it comes to Northern Ireland, the North wants to remain part of the UK not the EU, thus as the DUP supports the Conservatives in the House of Commons their view should be the deciding factor not the view of Republic of Ireland.   It is reported that the Conservative Government has agreed to offer forty billion pounds to the EU for trade access, the move should only be considered if the UK gets  a good deal and does not cause problems with Northern Ireland.   In the view of this blogger the UK should have walked away months ago.

HRC expected to win in 2016, the Crown was there for the taking, and she failed.   Whatever you think of President Trump he had his finger on the pulse of the US voter, the same as Bill Clinton had in 1992.   The sexual allegations against Bill Clinton should have taken him down in 1992 and they didn't,  the US voter wanted someone who would fix the economy, the same with Trump,   The Clintons created Trump in way in 1998, the liberal defence of Bill Clinton at its core was that the affair with the intern did not stop him doing his job, the US Presidency in their eyes did not mean you had to have a morale President, well then you have Trump in 2016.  On Fox News it was reported that Bill Clinton asked HRC why she was not doing polling and going to the rust belt States, HRC it is stated told the Old Hound Dog that he didn't understand modern politics or how data was used as a tool in modern elections.   A pastor on CNN stated a wise thought, " Data does not vote ".   HRC did not need the FBI to lose in 2016, that is a lesson that some ultra loyal Clinton supporters do not understand, HRC is a BAD CANDIDATE, she learned nothing from the Old Hound Dog.

It is interesting how the uber liberal Department of Justice does not want to investigate the Obama Administration and the Clintons.   POTUS is right to pressure his Attorney General to sanction a special counsel into the Clintons, they have been given a free ride for years, one can say that the uber liberal defence of Bill Clinton in 1998 has allowed for the present sexual allegations hitting the US Establishment.   In 1998 Liberals argued that Clinton's sexual allegations did not affect his job as President, thus they defend him, even in their heart of hearts they must have know there was smoke with the fire.   The Liberal Establishment first has to throw Bill Clinton under the bus before they can face the American people when it comes to other allegations.

The reason that this blog has such loathing for the Democrats is how they defended Bill Clinton in 1990s, they were willing to trash various women who had made allegations against Bill Clinton, while throwing today uber liberal supports under the bus over any allegation.  What makes Bill Clinton different from the other that have been accused, that is simple as the above article states liberals cared more about abortion rights than sexual allegations against Bill Clinton.   The glee that uber liberals  in Congress and CNN are taking in the Russian investigations shows their double standards, the Clinton links via business or their charity foundations should be under investigation.   The uber liberal press makes you sick.

It is typical of the uber LIBERAL NYT to support the Clintons, the Clintons and their actions are red meat to the Republicans.  When they see Trump under investigation for doing far less than the Clintons, they wonder why the uber liberal Department of Justice is not going after the Clinton link to the Russians, the paid for the dirty dossier, the natural resources give to the Russians to control, and the fact that foreign governments gave millions to the Clinton foundation, and how it dried up once Hillary Clinton lost in 2016.   The Swamp in the D.C has its roots in the uber liberal nature of the Washington Establishment, everyone knows each other, they dine together, one is shocked they do not share the same toilet, the usual same rubbish comes out both ways.   Time for AG Sessions to appoint a new special prosecutor in to the Clintons, and time for that investigation to dig hard.

The Conservative Government has shown it weakness by agreeing that Parliament will have the final say about Brexit.  This concession is a MASSIVE mistake, the remainers will use this period to block any bill, the Labour Party policy has been taken over by remainers, the Liberal Democrats just love the EU.   There will be endless close votes in Parliament, we could see the reverse of Brexit, this is a sad day for UK Democracy.

The ultra left and that would be the Guardian and BBC News will play this as a major disaster, that the UK has to give more concessions, these are the people who would still like to be in the Euro.   The May Government should state it will not give a penny to the EU and in fact it wants money back from the EU.  The British Voter should be showed two options, give in to the EU and give them billions or leave, no more talks, no more concessions, just leave and see the EU run to us for a deal, it has to be  a HARD BREXIT, to show the EU what it is losing.  Any concessions by the May Government is a betrayal of the UK voter, TIME TO LEAVE THE EU.

The EU has seen the strategy of the Remainers in the UK, they want to place enough pressure on the UK as to force them to stay, they are making a mistake.   Even the Labour Party can not support giving sixty billion to the EU, thus the Conservative Government should play HARDBALL, bring  a Bill to Parliament that would give the EU what it wants, but make it clear that the Conservative Party will oppose the Bill and force the Labour Party to make it on views VERY clear.   It is time for the UK to walk away from the EU, let see them come running after we confirm a HARD BREXIT.

The left wing Guardian worships at the feet of the EU, it appeases and does not think that the EU should make concessions to the UK.  The EU wants billions from the UK before it leaves, the UK should tell the EU to take a running jump over the cliffs of Dover.  The EU needs the UK more than the UK needs the EU, we shall see the reaction of the German tax payer when they have to use their tax Euros to replace the money the UK sends to the EU. The left wing press, and BBC News no longer try to be balanced, they care more about what the EU says than the people of the UK.

It seems the reality of North Korea has gotten to POTUS, there are no good military options, and talking would look like appeasing, so best policy to hit the can down the road, problems there is only so much road left when to comes to North Korea.  One is shocked in  a good way that North Korea has not tried one of its usual games when seeking attention, thus far no missile launch or nuclear test.   The Trump Oval needs to place pressure on China and Russia to place more political pressure on North Korea, otherwise this endless game of cat and mouse will go on for another few years, before the bell tolls.

Although the elite liberal press always state that its the Republicans that are in mess over Trump, in FACT it's the Democrats who are in a civil war, Obama left the DNC with no money, thus they had to be funded by the Clinton Campaign, and then HRC turned out to be a poor politician, the people who did her book tour were better operators that her campaign staff.   There is no no new leader out there, the runners for 2020 are Senators Warren and Sanders and they are in their 70s.   In 2020 both Parties could have new leaders if Trump does not run for a 2nd term or he gets impeached  before then, one never knows, if the Democrats can retake Congress in 2018 then they might go for Impeachment just to keep their base happy.   One thing about US politics its fun. 

POTUS might talk to North Korea!! - Trump Era

Lets Get Real:

Either you are going to talk to North Korea or go to WAR, they are the only choices.   As it has been stated by many a War in Korea would be disaster, hundreds if not millions would die, on the other hand do you want to appease a Stalinist State, or give the impression to Iran that all it has to do is get the bomb to warn the US off.   It can be expected that North Korea will try to get in to act of Trump visiting Asia, thus they might launch more missiles or even worse test a nuclear device out in the open, that would be seen as a major threat and the US would have to take action.  Talk, Talk is just about better than War, War when it comes to North Korea, but then let us see what happens. 

US Defence Department and North Korea - Trump Era

Lets Get Real:

This is the usual strategy by the US Defence Department, after Vietnam and Iraq the US Department sometimes has to be pushed to take action, thus they develop a terrible end game, ground invasion, many deaths on both sides, it is meant to frighten the politicians over at the White House, they tried that with Bush 41 when it came to the invasion of Kuwait by Iraq, the President replied that the US military would get what it wanted, not the endless debates they normally seek.   The Democrats will push this, they have gone to the left, it's the Party of Senator Sanders and Warren, the old THIRD way of President Clinton is long gone.  Let's see who blinks first, Trump, the US Defence Department or North Korea.
