The Next Brexit FIGHT over BREXIT - Brexit Update 4 - Post Brexit


Lets Get Real:

Thus the next fight over Brexit will come when the trade bill comes back to the House of Commons.   In that the rebels want to stay in the Customs Union and the Single Market.   The Government whips will have a tough time in keeping the rebels in their place, as stated the process for Brexit is complex, more intense battles on the way.    The one saving grace for the Chief Whips is the fact that the he can count on some Labour rebels and the fact that Jeremy Corbyn does not want to be in the Single Market, that very fact could make Brexit a success.

Lets Get Real:

The next big fight fight will be the trade bill and the Customs Bill, will the moaning remainers try to get the UK stuck in the Customs Union.   As stated the blog supports the UK staying in the Customs Union and the Single Market, there are more battles to go, this latest win for the Government is part of a long term process that sees the UK leaving the EU on March 2019.  The PM NOW needs to get a good deal out of the EU, something that keeps us close to the EU but respects the 2016 vote. 

The Speaker will have the final say on House of Commons Amendments - Brexit Update 2 - Post Brexit


Lets Get Real:

The Government has pushed the political can down the road, if there is no deal or the House of Commons rejects the deal then it will be up to the House Speaker to decide on Amendments to Bills.   On the whole a good day for the PM, she will now have the Brexit Bill through, the House of Lords will not throw another wrench in to the process, they are on soft ground, thus the next fight at the EU Summit.

Lets Get Real:

This was a good day for PM May, she can now go to the EU Summit holding a firm bat, if the rebels had been successful the PM it had been stated would have gone to the Summit with No bat.   At the end of the day the Government runs the executive while the House of Commons either gives its consent or not to laws.   Brexit goes on, there will be more hurdles!!   The next big fight will be if if the UK will be in a customs union with the EU, or the EEA, the moaning remainers never give up.
