The Cuts in Public Spending

Telegraph: Reports on a BBC Sunday Interview by the Deputy PM Nick Clegg, Mr Clegg stated that there was a need for public spending cuts that would hurt and was critical of the Labour Government under Gordon Brown, Mr Clegg stated that the former Government had spent knowing it would lose the election. In pure political terms PM Cameron has played this Coalition well, the Lib Dems will share in the blood of public spending cuts, thus Labour will have to attack both the Lib Dems and the Conservative Party. But Labour also has a problems in attack, the infamous note by a Labour Minister that the money had gone will be used against Labour, also the Coalition will blame the need for the cuts on the previous Government, also there is the fact that the Labour Party is looking for a new leader, thus some breathing space for the Coalition.
