Clinton and 08

RCP: Article on the future of the Clinton Campaign, it does not look good, expect Bill out there causing problems, Bill is back in the building!! ?

Delegates – Update

The Politico: A interesting report from The Politico, it seems that the Obama campaign is arguing that they come out of yesterday with more delegates, Politico states the following on the number crunching by the Obama Camp, “ bringing the to-date total of delegates to 908 for Obama, 884 for Clinton. ” On the whole will go with the RCP count, which has Clinton ahead, but just by 76 delegates. I hate elections when you need a maths degree for internal party rules.

Media Review of Super Tuesday - Democrats

New York Times: A interesting article by Maureen Dowd, telling Obama he is in heavy way fight and that he has to nock down the Clinton Machine. A very good line in the article shows how split Democrats are about this election race between Obama and Clinton, Dowd writes the following on Clinton, “ Darkness seeking darkness. It’s an exhausting specter, and the reason that… so many other Democrats are dashing for daylight and trying to break away from the pathological Clinton path. ” And that is the Liberal New York Times. The truth is this is like 1960, Obama is JFK and Clinton is Nixon, and that race was close very close, Obama still has the chance to show that he is the new King on the Block and that Hillary Clinton is the Queen Mother, no longer Queen.

Super Tuesday - Delegates Result

Well folks its back to the start for the Democrats, the RCP Delegates Table has Clinton on 900 delegates and Obama 824, Obama down by 76. But Obama is lucky as the States coming up should help him as they have a large African – American community, thus a heavy vote for Obama should limit the gains by Hillary Clinton in these states more favourable to the Obama Campaign. On the Republican side McCain has gained 604 delegates compared to the 244 for Romney. This could be the time for Romney to get out, support McCain, might get the VP spot, if Bush 41 can be Vice – President to Ronald Reagan why not Romney for McCain. The 1980s campaign was not a bed of roses; Bush 41 called Reagan’s Economic Plan, Voodoo Economics, but was still chosen for Vice – President. If Romney does not get out, could lose the VP spot to Huckabee. I would not be surprised to see Romney out of the race, very hard for him to catch up with McCain in the following states. McCain has to get conservative support, break bread and win in November.

Super Tuesday - Republican Update

McCain will be the Republican nominee but the race will go on, it really depends on California, if Romney can win and win big that allows him to argue to stay in but if its close and McCain wins and get a majority of the delegates this race should be over by the weekend. As always California is the big cheese in American Politics.

Super Tuesday Update

I think Hillary Clinton will win the nomination, she has the machine, and the power of the machine is overtaking the movement of Obama.
