Rudd a Remainer stays in the Cabinet - Update 4 - Boris Era

Lets Get Real:

Amber Rudd was seen as  a firm Remainers, the type that would go down with the ship, also she said that Boris could not be trusted in car if you were female, strong words you might think.   Well politics is about politics, keeping your job and getting up that greasy poll of politics.  Those in the Boris Cabinet; ( it will be hard to think of Boris as PM, he just makes this blog smile ); have had to make a blood oath to support a NO DEAL BREXIT on the 31st of October.  As stated the HARD REMAINERS could bring the Boris show to end FASTER than expected, thus hold on your hats, its is going to be rough ride for the UK and the Conservative Party.  Will Boris go down in history as another Churchill or Gordon Brown ?  Time awaits the answer.

Conservative Remainers could bring down their own Government - Update 3 - Boris Era

Lets Get Real:

The new Chief Whip has a big job on his hands, he has to remained these Remainers MPs, that if they bring the Government down, then they will not be Conservative MPs at the forthcoming election, there will be no honours after it is all over, no OBE, CBE or  a Knighthood, or a peerage, NOTHER EVER.   In fact it has to be assumed that as Chief Whip he will have access to the private files on MPs, from their expenses to their personal lives, all that would be fair game.  If the Remainers want to play dirty, the new Johnson Administration has to go LOWER.   This is about winning and following the Democratic choice of the UK voter in 2016.  This war could get nasty and fast.

UK Reshuffle - Update 2 - Boris Era

Lets Get Real:

It can be argued that Boris is going for broke, he has set himself a 99 day window to get out of the EU, with a deal or with NO DEAL.  If you are going ALL IN as they say in Texas poker you might as well throw in ALL YOUR CHIPS.   The question is can it be done, the EU will want to see if the Johnson Administration is stable before giving any concessions, also the HARD REMAINERS and those that Boris has just sacked will want to flex their elbows on the backbenches.  The different this time, is that the WHOLE Cabinet will be united on one simple message, there will be a return to Cabinet Collective responsibility at ALL LEVELS.  The PM has to be ready for a snap election, his Majority will go down to about 1 after a by election that is coming up, all seem to agree the PM will lose a seat to the Liberal Democrats.   Time might not be on the side of BORIS.

Boris's Afternoon of the Long Knives - The Boris Era

BBC News: Reports the high level leavers and those that have been sacked from the new Boris Johnson Administration.

Lets Get Real:

In his few hours as PM, Boris has shown that he is a good butcher, that is one of good aspects required by a good PM in the opinion of Sir Humphrey ( Yes Minister, Yes Prime Minister ), all the important Cabinet jobs have changed, Philip Hammond resigned before getting the sacked, the new Chancellor is Sajid Javid, while at the FCO, Jeremy Hunt refused the offer of being Defence Secretary, thus moves back to the backbenches, in his place we have Dominic Raab as  foreign secretary.   At the Home Office, Priti Patel will become home secretary.   These at just the top jobs, half the Cabinet that was in the May Cabinet has gone, it seems like Trump, our new PM is very thin skinned when it comes to critical comments.   Even hard Brexit Ministers who were Brexit before Boris have gotten the chop,  because they were either to critical during the leadership contest or supported the wrong candidate.   The timescale for the Administration could be  very short, Boris has given himself 99 days to get BREXIT, he has to get a deal with EU or try for  a No Deal Brexit in the face of opposition from the House of Commons.   Boris could be the shortest serving PM ever, just 99 days if he fails.   One can see a General Election in September.  The Hard Remainers will use any underhand method to prevent Brexit, this is why this blog is wary of the process.
