Article 16 and Northern Ireland - Post Brexit Part 2

Lets Get Real:

IF the EU does not grant the UK demands, the removal of EU hurdles to free trade between both parts of Ireland then the PM might be forced by events to invoke Article 16, this allows either the EU or the  to  UK to overwrite parts of the EU/UK agreement when it comes to the non border in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, an essential part of the agreement that allowed for the troubles to end in the North.  As stated once the EU Brussels machine issued the THREAT the issue was open for debate, IF the UK does invoke Article 16 expect a massive ROW with the EU, and in the House of Commons.  THE UK will be accused of breaking international law, the nationalists groups within Northern Ireland will blow a fuse, and nationalist MPs in the House of Commons will decry the move as breaking international LAW. Ireland and the EU are never easy.

The Northern Ireland Border PROBLEM - Post Brexit

Lets Get Real:

There were problems with the EU Withdrawal Agreement before the EU made a mess of it in the last few days, as stated in my post, post going to the Republic Ireland via Northern Ireland had added taxes.  There are reports of people refusing to pay the surcharge and the goods having to be returned.   The PM might need to invoke Article 16, the EU has let that genie out of the box, if the EU can think of doing it, well the UK can also the arguments goes.  Article 16 allows the UK to override parts of the Brexit Deal, if due to circumstances there is a economic cost to Northern Ireland of the DEAL.  The Unionist Parties in Northern Ireland are in full cry, the PM might not have a choice if the EU does not play ball with the demands from the UK, that such problems are thrown in to the VERY LONG GRASS, in essence removing them as  problem, returning Northern Ireland to its position before Brexit.
