Sky News: Reports " Article 16: Boris Johnson warned against suspending post-Brexit border arrangements for Northern Ireland....There is growing speculation the PM could soon trigger Article 16 as ongoing talks between the EU and UK continue to fail to resolve problems such as the "sausage war". But Boris Johnson is being given fresh warnings about the impact of such action. "
Lets Get Real:
If this blogger was the Republic Ireland it would keep quite on Article 16, if there is a TRADE WAR between the UK and the EU one of the worst effected countries will be the Republic, are they going to place border and custom Posts on the border between the province and the Republic, if not they are letting down the EU, if they do place border posts then they are breaking the Good Friday Agreement that ended the troubles in the province. In any trade war a open border between the Province and Republic would undermine the Single Market, people would just send their stuff through the Republic to the Province, are the Irish Police going to check what goes in and out of the Republic? One has doubts. The EU has to back off, its finding the rights words, the UK civil service can sure think of something, that is their job. Also the PM should not trust the FCO, they are pro EU.
