Difficult Times AHEAD, Chancellor - COVID - 19 - Health/Economy

Lets Get Real:

The Conservatives are being HONEST, the Chancellor can not save every job, when the furlough scheme comes to an end in October one can expect around 3 million people will be on the dole, and the majority will be young, those working in the pubs, bars, restaurants  etc.  The Governments first priority is to prevent the young spending years on the dole, those over 50 will have to accept that they will get lesser jobs or just accept as a reality that their work history has finished.  That can be the hardest part, on the ash heap at 50+.   The economy or those that hire people are youth centred, you if you hire someone older you have to teach them to use modern IT systems, while the young have been trained and live their lives on line.   Tough years ahead for the UK.

UK and EU have pointless talks AGAIN!! - Brexit Update 1 - Transitional Phase

Lets Get Real:

The UK and EU talks are pointless, it seems neither side is OPEN to concessions, and the UK want their fish back, its very symbolic for the UK.   The EU has to please 27 States, and this is the first time they are not calling the tune, so more talks, next week in Brussels and then in London the following week.   It is about time that PM Johnson called an end to the talks, they are going nowhere and it makes the UK and the EU look ridiculous and petty.  The SIDES should just be honest with each other and the voters, there is no DEAL to be made, after December 31st the sides might give concessions, even more so if there is a 2nd wave of COVID - 19.  The UK has right to its fish, we do not need to give concessions to the EU.

Our Fish Part 2 - Brexit Update 2 - Transitional Phase

Lets Get Real:

Thus the gradual process of EU/UK deals is showing some fruits, one hopes.  As stated watching EU/UK trade talks is like watching paint dry, and watching the paint dry is more fun.   It soulds like both sides will move a bit, concessions on both sides, not enough to break the deal, or cause opposition to come the fore.  It can be argued that the UK voter wants to end the links with the EU, but given the Covid -  19 PANDEMIC, the UK and EU economies need time to recover, thus a short term deal might be good, allow for the natural economy to come back, let's recall the UK will have spent 350 billion pounds on reacting to the virus by the end.   The PM should be firm with the EU, deal by the end of this month or else we go on WTO rules.  This is not the time for wish washy talks with the EU, decisions need to be made and sold to the House of Commons and the voters.

Cabinet ROW over Brexit - Guardian - Brexit Update 1 - Transitional Phase

Lets Get Real:

This is typical of the left wing remain Guardian, it turns every question in to a CABINET ROW, the final decisons on Brexit will be done by the PM and his close staff.  It seems that the International Trade Departments still has a few REMAIN civil servants in post.  Thus little ownder that the PM wants to reform the civil service, you can not have leaks that turn every story in to a negative for Brexit.  The UK voter if not the UK civil service is waiting for the day that the UK is no longer connected to the dreadful EU.   It can be postulated that the REMAIN press will try to get any story that is negative when it comes to BREXIT, they have seen their 2nd vote dream hit the dust, thus now anything that can be weaponised against Brexit will be used, that is why you have to keep an eagle eye on the REMAIN PRESS, they are like the appeasers of the 1930s, they are everywhere!  They are not one of US!

The Rishi Special - £ 10 for meals and soft drinks - COVID - 19 - Health/Economy

Lets Get Real:

This was a good speech by the Chancellor, it will help business, get people back in to work before they become lifers ON THE DOLE.  That a Conservative Chancellor  is spending such money shows that the PM and Cabinet have accepted that the only way to protect the economy is to OPEN THE WALLET.  The DEBT will paid off by future generations, those that will receive the benefit will either be VERY OLD by this time or dead.  Jeremy Corbyn must have wished that he had delayed supporting an election in December, the Conservatives have found that magic spending tree that he used to write his Manifesto for the 2019 general election.   The UK could not have gone through another ten year austerity to pay for the funding today, overall all the Government is spending 350 billion on its various schemes, from the furlough to today's spending the UK books will be full of red print, as in debt.   The UK should have tax cuts in the next budget, that will get the economy going, the government is reacting to a prediction that at the end of October the Country is facing its worse recession/depression in three hundred years, the 1980s will look like happy hour by comparison.   There are tough times ahead!

Keep your HANDS OFF our FISH Mr Barnier!! - Brexit Update 1 - Transitional Talks

Lets Get Real:

These endless talks are about each side covering each others backside, on the UK side the PM wants to show that he has tried for a DEAL, while on the EU side they want to show how tough they can be as to frighten other Countries from not leaving the EU.   If there is a deal to be made, the side should get together and DO A DEAL, otherwise stop the hot air and tell the people that there is no deal and we the UK will go for an Australian Deal, in other words the WTO.  The PM should state that at the end of this month, either an agreement or its over.  Considering COVID - 19 it is in the interest of both sides to do a deal.   The problem with the EU is that they take SO LONG to do a deal that watching paint try sounds more fun, also they are used to getting their own way, the UK Brexit showed that they can not bully Great countries like the UK, whatever Brussels think.
