Getting AWAY with MURDER ?

Guardian: Reports that UK Armed Forces Personnel have gotten away with murder while in Iraq. This blog supports the Armed Forces, and will always defend them against left wing charges, but and here is the but, although this blog gives a lot discretion to our Armed Forces while in combat there has to be a line that is not crossed, there has to be a difference between Western Forces and Al Qaeda, all charges should be investigated and the actions of our Forces should always be looked at as they are in combat action, but outside that there is the law. Lets hope the Ministry of Defence clear up this story.

Tony Blair & Bill Clinton

Mail on Sunday: Reviews the forthcoming drama based on the political relationship between former Labour PM Tony Blair and the former American President Bill Clinton. It is interesting on social issues both Blair and Clinton had similar polices even if Mr Blair to his credit moved the country on gay issues much more forward in the end, but when it comes to Foreign Policy and that is the important bit, Blair was the twin of Bush 43, and lets be honest here folks, Bush 43 gave Blair an out for Iraq but the Mr Blair stood with Bush 43, thus ever since his bad press in the UK. The article states that the filmmakers will do a final film on Blair with is role in Iraq and his leaving of office under pressure in 2007, thus Mr Sheen will have played Mr Blair four times by then starting with the Deal, an excellent drama, that deals with the relationship between Mr Blair and Mr Brown in the early years. The there was the Queen, the story how Tony Blair saved the Monarchy from itself after the death of Diana, now the relationship between Blair and Clinton, and how Blair pushed Clinton to take action in Kosovo. This series of films if I am not wrong is unique.

Mail on Sunday, SCUM - Alastair Campbell

Alastair Campbell Blog: The once Master of New Labour spin has a go at the Mail on Sunday, AC states the following on the on the journalist/ celebrity Piers Morgan writing for the Mail, “ I wish he wouldn’t write for the scum though…”. I wonder if the Mail on Sunday lawyers should have a look at his quote!! Even mere bloggers have to follow some standards, it seems that the once Master of Spin has become the story, in other words your have lost the news cycle, its true you really cant go back to the greats, well Tony Blair period.
