Gallup Generic Poll - Mid Term Elections 2010

Gallup: Reports on its new Generic Ballot for the Mid Term Folks, in the likely voters with a low turnout the figures are as follows, Republicans 56% and Democrats 39%. I have feeling if you look at the RCP average of polls that has 6.8% lead for the Republicans and this poll that has 17% lead its matter of looking at the reality, the Democrats should be able to get their voters out, even the dead ones, sorry Chicago joke. The Republicans should benefit from the fear of unemployment and the sky high rates for health insurance since POTUS passed ObamaCare. The question is the turnout, it can be argued that following past trends the 40% to 50% mark can be expected, thus if the Republicans can get between 6.8% and the 17 % of Gallup they should be going for a healthy majority in the House and parity with the Democrats in the Senate, even the outside chance that they could take the Senate, but its still two weeks to go folks, lets see what Mid Terms produce for Congress.

2010 Mid Term Elections - Generic Ballot Polls

RCP: Reports on its Average of the latest generic ballot polls for the 2010 Mid Term Election, its latest Average is the following, Republicans 48.1% and the Democrats 41.3, giving the Republicans a lead of 6.8%. The Democrats are throwing some real BS at the Republicans as the election gets close folks, you have Democrats in the California Governor race calling the Republican opponent a Whore, in other races Democrats are calling their opponent extreme candidates if they have the support of the tea party movement. The latest BS is that the Republicans are taking money from abroad, even calling it Watergate, just one minor problem, even the bloated liberal NYT calls this story rubbish. Thus it can be argued from the latest polls that the House will go Republican, on the Senate side it looks like the Democrats will keep control of the Senate but will be near parity with the Republicans. In essence the Obama Agenda will be dead on the Hill. Thus what will President Obama do, does he want to get re-elected in 2012, the noise from the Oval can give one the impression that Obama might run but with the knowledge that he will lose, that can only explain the fact that he has asked VP Biden to run with him again, if he really wanted a chance of winning he would ask Secretary Clinton to be his running mate. Thus what can we expect in the last two years of the Obama 1st term, well nothing really, the House will block any more spending by Obama, and the Senate will be frozen, in 2011 the Republicans and Democrats will start to get ready for the 2012 Presidential Race, thus the Campaign starts after the polls close in November, two years of Campaigning folks, what fun that will be, but that’s Democracy folks.

The Real Dark Prince ? - Lord Peter Mandelson

Guardian: Reports a new documentary on the Dark Prince himself Lord Peter Mandelson that was filmed during the last days of the Brown Government. It seems from clips shown on the BBC and this article that Lord Mandelson has allowed a warts and all view of politics, what ever you think of the Dark Prince he does not hide like some defeated PM when could all name, he always fighting, giving advice to Labour even if they don’t want it, one can postulate that Lord Mandelson could be a real thorn in the side of Ed Miliband the new Labour Leader if he throws to much BS at New Labour. Lets recall the don’t call Lord Mandelson the Dark Prince for nothing, be wary Mr Miliband the Dark Prince could have you in his sights, one has to wonder does Tony Blair want to get rid of Ed Miliband?

The Nevada Fight, the Cost of Obama Agenda!

Telegraph: Reports on the close Senate fight in the US State of Nevada, the Democratic Majority Leader Senator Harry Reid is in a close fight with the Republican Sharron Angle. Objective: The state of Nevada has one of the highest unemployment rates in the US, the Obama Administration has been critical of big business and its business junkets to Nevada, thus business has cut back and people have lost their jobs. Subjective: Harry Reid has pushed the Obama Agenda at the expense of his own State and that of the US. Its time for the great State of Nevada to send a message to Harry Reid, if you wont fight for your own State then the voters will hire a new Senator. Thus the good citizens of Nevada vote for the Republican Sharron Angle.

At the end of the day the Conservative Party is about the defence of the UK, backbench Conservative MPs would have thrown a major fit if the Defence Budget took a major hit; the devil is in the details; lets see what the cuts will be, next week the Coalition Government will announced its cuts, lets see what real pain the MOD will have to suffer.
