The State of Play for tomorrow for the House of Commons - Update 2 - Post Brexit

Lets Get Real:

Ah to be a fly on the wall of the office of the Chief Whips, for both the Government and the Opposition.   One presumes that there will be rebels on both sides, it will be interesting to see how many Conservatives rebels vote for the House of Lords Amendments, the reverse with the Labour, who will support the Government when it comes to negating the Lords Amendments.  The 24/7 channels will need half the screen for the US and North Korean Summit and the other for the House of Commons.

Your Brexit Story for the Day - Post Brexit

Lets Get Real:

The crunch day for Brexit is tomorrow, there are 15 Amendments from the House of Lords.  The House of Commons should support the Lords when it comes to the UK staying in the Customs Union and Single Market.   The votes will be close, one only hopes that enough Tory rebels to give the Opposition a victory and secure a better future for the UK. The Summit between the US and North Korea and the House of Commons tomorrow makes for an interesting day.

North Korea and its past promises to the US - Update 2 - North Korean Crisis

Lets Get Real:

The Trump Oval has to be careful that it is not played by the North Korean Regime, in the past North Korea has made promises that it went back on straight away.  President Reagan had a great line, Trust by Verify, that means inspectors on the ground in North Korea to check if North Korea is keeping to the agreement.   As for PR, the Summit is good for Trump and Kim Jong Un, both can act the statesman, tomorrow will be very interesting.

The US and North Korean Summit - Update - North Korean Crisis

Lets Get Real:

Both US and North Korean leaders want a successful Summit for different reasons, Trump has something to prove, that he can do DEALS that stick and he is better than past Presidents.  The North Korean leader wants to end the sanctions that have been imposed on the North Korea by the World.   Thus a good deal would be that North Korean give up its nuclear missiles, while they get a Treaty that secures the North Korean Regime.   On the US side, Trump must not be appear weak, if Kim Jong-un is playing him the President must not be afraid to walk out.   The two leaders meet at 9am UK time tomorrow.
