US Unemployment and November

Lets Get Real:

In 1984 Reagan had a booming economy, so did Clinton in 1996, this is not the case for President Obama in 2012. The Republicans have to stress the economy, the economy and finally the Economy. The Obama domestic record has the stain of ObamaCare and his failure to get the US economy going with hundred of billions of Government spending. The main stream media will try to divert attention from the economy to social issues, the Democratic theme of a War on Women. The Republican can not allow themselves to be side tracked by the MSM. This was the flaw of the Santorum Campaign, the Senator allowed himself to get in to debates that showed he was on the extreme right when it came to social issues, this is a vote loser for Republicans. The Romney Campaign has to keep to bread and butter issues, the high rate of US unemployment and underemployment, those doing part time jobs but want full time jobs. Lets see if the Romney Campaign can keep on issue, its simple the economy.

The Diminishing of Star Power - Obama

Lets Get Real:

It is interesting folks that President Obama could be a one hit wonder as they say in the music business, the youthful candidate of 2008 has gone, if anything the US voter would be doing President Obama a favour if they voted him out, his hair has gone white, he looks old, the pressures of the Presidency must way heavy on Obama, unlike two previous Presidents, Reagan and Clinton, they looked in essence the same at the end of 8 years as at the start. They enjoyed the Presidency and would have run for a third term if not barred by the US Constitution. Also President Obama has a dismal economy, unlike Reagan in 84 and Clinton in 96, thus the Republicans have a real chance of winning.

US Unemployment DOWN to 8.1%

BBC News: Reports that US Unemployment fell from 8.2% to 8.1%, also just 115,000 jobs were created in April in the US.

Lets Get Real:

The top line of unemployment dropping in normal political cycle would benefit the Oval, but as the article notes the chief reason for the drop is down to the fact that people just gave up looking for a job. The lacklustre job growth and the unemployment rate staying at over 8% could sink the re-election campaign of President Obama. The Romney Campaign is stressing that Obama is another Carter Mark 2, thus using the Reagan line of 1980, are you better off NOW than four years ago, this line attack is a good political move, the sluggish job growth does not have the feel of the Reagan and Clinton economic booms, but its early folks, lets see what the next couple of months bring to the process.
