The New York Times: Reports on the possible paths for the Trump Oval when it comes to Syria, it states the following, " It sometimes seems as if the United States will be bombing empty runways until the end of time, dead certain that it’s a way to get everything Americans want at no real cost or risk, and that all the past failures only prove that the next time it’ll work for sure. "
Lets Get Real:
If the Western allies do a limited strikes it will be pointless, the Assad Regime is supported by the Russians and Iran, any losses will be replaced. IF the West wants to send a clear signal it will have to do more than limited strikes, and use its air power would be good, just using cruise missiles might make the West happy for a few days, then Assad will start to drop more chemical weapons. If you are going to WAR, go to WAR, win the War, do not play games, the voters have more respect for winning a war or least trying, playing a limited War only helps Syria and Assad.
