Romney vs. Obama - Poll Match UP

RCP: Reports on its Average of the Polls that match up President Obama vs. Governor Romney, today POTUS leads Romney by 46.9% to 44.4%, a lead of 2.5%.

Lets Get Real:

There will be endless Polls folks, after each National Convention each Candidate should get a bounce, then after the Debates the perceived winner should also get a bounce. As POTUS has justed started his Campaign it should be interesting to see how the Canddiates fare. On the whole its been a good week for President Obama, he has used the killing of OBL like any good Chicago pol would, with ruthless glee, lets hope sometime he recalls the Special Forces that took out OBL. The downside was the job report for April, sluggish to say the least, more pople just gave up that got jobs. But a good week for POTUS. On the Romney side he got a good few days out of the fact that Obama was seen to exploit the killing of OBL for a political reasons. The arrival of Air Force One in Afghanistan on top of that gave the week almost to Obama, its just the economy that Obama cant fix. Thus the narrow lead held by POTUS over Romney for this week.

Republicans vs. Obama

The RNC attacks the Obama record after President Obama kicks off his re-election campaign.

The Fading Star - POTUS

Sunday Mail: Reports that President Obama faced less than expected crowds for his first Campaign Event of the 2012 race, of a Capacity of twenty thousand for the event, only fourteen thousand turned up.

Lets Get Real:

One can say that Obama is like a silent screen star before talkies, before talkies it was screen presence, charisma, after talkies some people didn’t have the voice. Or in the modern erea, some individuals or groups have only one hit song, one hit wonders, their follow up never hit’s the right note. The difference between 2008 and 2012 is the fact that Obama has a record. Its easy to run when you don’t have a history, or get placed on the US Supreme Court, but once a negative record develops its hard to look new, in the modern age the voters are fickle, they expect results, the Obama economic record is dire, at present the unemployment rate stands at 8.1%, hundreds of thousands of people have just given up, then there is ObamaCare, the Oval shoved that down the throats of US voters without thinking it might be wrong. The Obama economic stimulus failed with its shovel ready jobs, thus Obama cant just attack Romney, he has to defend his record, Obama is no Reagan folks.

Kick Off - Obama Campaign

Guardian: Reports on President Obama’s kicked off his re-election campaing in the State of Ohio, the President stated that the race would be closer than even 2008.

Lets Get Real:

It is simple folks, very simple, if unemployment stays at the present or goes up then Obama is toast, it will not matter how much the liberal main stream media cover for him, the sluggish job growth over the past two months is nowhere near the amount needed to get back to pre 2008 levels. Also the fall in unemployment is due to people just getting fed up, that does not help the Obama Campaign, as a recent CNN article noted in the months leading up to the 84 election the US was creating three hundred thousand jobs a month, the latest figues are half that, well below expectations. This race willl be close folks, only a fool would predict the outcome.

Greece Election and the Eurozone Crisis

Lets Get Real:

The Greek people have a problem, they don’t want to leave the Euro but they don’t want to suffer the austerity programme demanded by the EU/IMF/ECB. The main political parties have been playing the tune of the above and thus will suffer in the election, the extreme left and right is expected to do well in today’s election. Thus with the French and Greek Election the EU and the Euro is looking at a cliff. The idea that you can somehow spend yourself out of this mess is very Weimar, just print money, at the end of the Euro will be worthless. Thus advice to stock traders, sell tomorrow, also raise the yields that France will pay to sell its bonds. The Greeks and the French have to be taught that if you spend someone else’s money you pay the piper, no easy way out, that IS the real world folks.

French Election and the Eurozone Crisis

BBC News: Reports on the 2nd round of the French Presidential Election.

Lets Get Real:

If Francois Hollande the left wing candidate wins today folks expect EU stock markets to tumble when they open tomorrow, also French bond yields will start to raise. The left in EU politics seem as a whole to have taken LSD, they see what they want to see, the French people think it matters what they want, someone has to tell them it does not, if Hollande starts to tax and spend to keep his Campaign promises expect the Markets to make France pay. Also the German Government has made it clear that the new EU Treaty is not up for a new draft. Thus if Hollande is elected will he break the EU Treaty, if that happens the Treaty will be rejected by the rest of Europe. Then the EU/IMF bailout will not be enough to save the EU. The French voters might be pushing their beloved EU over a cliff, that would be ironic, and lets be honest, the French and Germans will be at each other throats.
