Dow Jones Down by 678.91 points.

BBC News: Reports that the Down Jones was down 678.91 points, that down nearly eight percent. I thought this bailout of Wall Street was meant as a fix, well the Patient, the US Economy has gone in to a seizure , could go either way, what is the Doctor, the US Government going to do, we need a bright solution or we are heading in to Great Depression land. This will start to effect main street economy, business and the folks will retract their investments, recession could lead to depression. Lets recall the West is fighting two wars, the Western Banking system is in cardiac arrest, something has to give, is Obama right about Iraq and getting out, an Empire can not stride the globe if its economy is in a mess. But it should be noted should the West leave Iraq, we still have Afghanistan, the next President just might ask for a recount of the vote, the good times are very much over.

Iceland and the UK

The Times: Reports that the Treasury is not keen to bailout Councils that had money in banks in Iceland. The Collapse of these banks could cause Plan B, the Bailout of the UK banks to fold, if Councils feel that banks are not safe they could take their money out, there would be a run on the banks, aka 1930s. The Government can not dither on this issue, if the banks have to be bailed out then so must the councils.

Obama Lied ?

The Weekly Standard: Reports that Senator McCain has gone after Senator Obama, he is accusing Obama of note telling the truth about his relationship with the domestic terrorist Bill Ayers. It should be noted that the McCain Campaign has released a video that goes after this relationship. The Campaign also needs to go after the Reverend Wright, the Pastor of Obama, for years they has a close relationship, but it has been shown via video clips that Wright is Anti American and racist. What did Obama know when did he not know the story.

Obama not another CLINTON

The New York Times: Reports how Obama is not the type of politician to feel the pain of the voter, aka Bill Clinton. The Liberal New York Times writes the following, " Mr. Obama’s more taciturn nature and his distaste for theatrics, as seen at Tuesday’s debate, are another reminder that he would not, for better or worse, be a Clintonesque “feeler in chief”...." Lets be honest about the Obama character, he is an elitist, intelligent, arrogant politician; minus the politician part so is this writer; but that's not a problem, a good politician has to have the ability to connect with the voter, Reagan was a distant character but he connected with the American people, he had the same ability as FDR, JFK, they could act, even if reality was different from the spin. Reagan was known sometimes as Comforter in Chief due to the fact that he had to attend many public funerals for those that had died on active service or the funerals of the men and women of the Challenger Mission. He was seen as being there for the families of those that had died, Obama when he is elected President will have to stop making speeches and interact with people, they will need to comforter not someone who is remote and cold manner. The Obama Camp has to get Obama ready, get him some acting lessons, as in warm, as intelligent guy should be able fake warmth its not that hard when looking at other problems an Obama Administration will face in 2009.

Obama and His Terrorist Friend by McCain

McCain has taking the gloves off, he is going after the relationship between Obama and his domestic terrorist friend, Bill Ayers. The Campaign if it wants to win also has to bring Wright in to the picture.

Spin or Real ?

Boston Herald: Reports that John Zogby of the Zogby Poll argues that the race is still close. The BH writes the following, " Zogby said the race mirrors the 1980 election, when voters didn’t embrace Ronald Reagan over then-President Jimmy Carter until just days before the election. " Also there is the elephant in the room, will the United States vote for its first African - American President. The reality of the polls will be seen after the election, which one can get at the truth of the vote and which needs to change its methodology to get at the truth.

Starship Troopers 3 Marauder

A break from the political fight and the economic mess, have just seen Starship Troopers 3 Marauder. It was bloody great, great war movie, action, dramatic, and fun and self aware. Also a very catchy song, "It's a Good Day to Die " And if nothing else you have Jolene Blalock looking stunning and holding a big gun, also a very good actress, the writers of Star Trek should have given her more to do, as from this film she is great at the dramatic stuff but also light comedy. Right back to the politics.
