US Unemployment and the November Election - Update 1 - 2020 Election

It is up to the Democrats to LOSE the November Election, IF Trump was a great thinker he would think of his predecessor President Hoover, who lost re-election in 1932 due to his failure to deal with the Great Depression, at least the Trump Administration and the US Congress is trying to put some money in to the US economy to help small US business companies, the problem is that the money has run out, and Congress may need to add another 250 billion to the economy.   Also Trump wants to get the US out of the forthcoming recession/depression before it starts, he wants business to open around the US.   The Democrats have to be careful, they can not be seen as wanting to see people on welfare, and rooting for COVID - 19.  One only hopes that VP Biden is up to taking on Trump, the President is a political street fighters from NEW YORK.   The Democrats will not find it easy to remove him from the Oval Office. 

How close can Hillary Clinton be to the Oval Office - 2016 Election

IF Hillary Clinton is going to be President she can not run as Obama's third term or even a third term for Bill Clinton,  the US voter looks to the future, as the present economic state in the US is not that great.   Thus HRC will have to build a campaign around her, but she would be making a mistake IF just talks about gender issues, it does not matter if your a man or woman you are still concerned about the economic well being of the Country, you still have to meet your bills at the end of the week or month.    It seems that HRC is using the Obama playbook from 08/12, the problem is that HRC is not Obama, she is not that good on the campaign trail, if HRC was wise she would go to the right, that is were the voter is, it does not matter what the elite left thing or even the uber liberal NYT.   HRC can not win if she is running for someone else, or if she just runs as a woman.

The tone of the economic message from Jeb Bush has the echo of Obama's class warfare speeches since 2008, is the leading Republican candidate for President going for those 47% on welfare or some of them, its an interesting question.   If Romney was about right that 47% of Americans have some kind of welfare that doe not leave much room for Republicans to win by, thus it can be argued that the next Republican candidate has to peel some of the 47% of those on welfare to support the Republican candidate.  It can be argued that the very rich have done well out of the Obama economy, if your on Wall Street and and a player your making money, even if the market does fall and rise to much for the typical main street player.    The question is will this kind of message work on Republican voters, can Bush afford to lose some Primary States but win the General Election on this kind of political rhetoric.   We have two years to see people.

This issue will concern the extreme left of the Democratic Party, they see Hillary and Bill as to close to big business and thus will be looking for a left wing challenger to Hillary, there as been talk of  Senators Webb and Warren becoming the symbol of the left.   This would be a mistake, this time the Clintons really want it, and will have learned the mistakes of the 08 race, this time they will go after any challenger and destroy them before they can become a real challenge.   The General Election is the problem area for   Hillary, can see get the same groups, African - Americans, young voters, green voters and gay voters that came out in force to support President Obama, to support the Clinton candidacy.   There are many writers in the political field that doubt that Hillary can get these groups to support her, she will be 69 when she is running, she is rich, even after she stated that the Clintons were broke after eight years in the White House.   It will be interesting to see Bill and Hillary Clinton make sure they win in 2016, this is their last chance to return to the White House. 

Obama and The New War on Terror

Lets Get Real:

Lets see if the European Leaders have the courage to bring up ground troops, that is the only way that IS can be taken out, the Obama Legacy does not want two wars going on at the same time, that is how Obama got the Presidency, the left wing of the Democratic Party would not be happy, the US will keep troops in Afghanistan and will be still fighting the new war on terror as POTUS leaves office in 2017.   The Oval has to get around the statement that it would not place ground troops in Syria and iraq, if Obama keeps to his word of no troops this new War could take years and cost billion of dollars and there is a chance that he US and its allies could lose.   There NEEDS to be Western ground troops in Syria and Iraq, it is that brutal and simple. 

Obama vs. The New York Times

The New York Times: Reports on the papers Editorial view of the Syrian attacks, the paper states the following, "  In the absence of public understanding or discussion and a coherent plan, the strikes in Syria were a bad decision. "

Lets Get Real:

The Oval must be jumping with joy, it has been attacked by the liberal New York Times, that means its doing something right, also if the NYT is opposed then the right will support the action.   The candidate of 2008 is  not the President in 2014, Yes We Can has become, if you cant beat the Republicans you might as well ACT as a Republican President, in the area of national security.    Thus these attacks on IS in Syria and Iraq is Obama's War, even Bush 43 never attacked Syria, the War will be long, it might take years, and it will need Western special forces to take out IS in the major towns.   One can not see the New Iraqi Army, the Kurds wanting to take out IS in cities were they are not a major ethnic majority, thus the Iraqi Government will have to request that he US help.    That is down the line, there will be days, even months of action from the air.  Lets hope no Western or Arab airplanes are shot down, that would require boots on the ground to get them, that might be tricky in Syria and Iraq. 

Obama on Iraq - All Options Open -Middle East Crisis

Lets Get Real:

It would be the ironies of ironies if Obama is forced to go back in to Iraq, the Candidate who used his opposition to Iraq as his the selling point of his Campaign in 2008 would be forced to accept that he was wrong in 2011 to take US troops out of Iraq.   Well IF the Oval is serious it should consider a major attack on the terrorists in Syria and Iraq, if your left is going to attack you. it is  better go for 100% in, place troops in Iraq, US Special Forces would be the best and air power to attack the terrorists in Syria.   The West can not afford to see the development of an Al Qaeda State in the Middle East, this would be a major threat to ALL the States, even Iran is worried about that, thus this is the time to ACT, the EU is a paper tiger, do not expect any help from them after the Iraq War of 2003.   Thus this is the time for bold measures, time for Obama to be POTUS.

The Left and the Tea Party - 2nd Term Blues

This is the problem with the left folks, they have no toleration for those that do not think like them, they view those with faith, or trust  the people not the Government as alien, even a cancer that should be destroyed.   It is odd folks, that the left never learns, after Watergate and the failed Presidency of Jimmy Carter the left wanted Ronald Reagan to win the Republican Nomination as they thought he was extreme and that the US Voter would NEVER vote for a true Conservative.   That blind spot by liberals is why we had had the great decade of the 80s folks, low taxes, smaller government, big defence spending, and at its end, the end of the USSR.   The question that Democrats have to ask is will the same groups that supported President Obama in 08 and 12 come out for Hillary Clinton.    The election cycle never ends folks, thus in 2014 the fun starts folks, so many polls, you have to love the democratic system.

This what happens folks when an informal Empire is on the slide, the US has a 16 trillion debt, there is a stark differences between the lives of the rich and main street, on Wall Street there having a Party, while Mine Street can barely pay its bills by the end of the week.    The US in voting for Obama in 2008 wanted to be liked around the World, well after the Berlin Speech the love has gone, it tends to happen when non US Citizens find that they have been spied on by the US NSA and in the UK its cousin.   The Obama Era failed to live up to expectations folks, its better to under promise and achieve more than over achieve and under deliver, the War in Afghanistan is still going on, the Arab Spring has been a disaster, in Syria the most effective rebels are Al Qaeda franchise groups, it has been reported of late that a hundred thousand Syrians have been killed in the Syrian Civil War.   The chance of Israel taking military action against Iran is growing month by month, the time frame for action is getting closer folks, Iran within a few months will have the bomb, and US/Israel will not be able to act, the above folks is why Obama is seen as weak, and therefore End of Empires comes to all folks. 

South Vietnam ALL OVER Again!! - Afghanistan Update

BBC News: Reports that President Karzai  of Afghanistan has accused the Obama White House of breaking US word when it comes to dealings with the Afghan Taliban.

Lets Get Real: 

This is not new folks in US Foreign Policy, in 1968 during the US Presidential Election the Republican Nominee Richard Nixon got the South Vietnam Government not to attend the Paris Peace talks, he promised they would get a better deal with him, in 2008 then Candidate Obama wanted to fight the good War in Afghanistan, well by the 2nd Nixon Term the Government of South Vietnam was hung out to dry with the Paris deal of 1973 that removed US troops and left the S Vietnam Government with no defence to counter the Army of North Vietnam.  Thus in 2013 President Obama has sold out Afghanistan, and as the article notes the President Karzai has refused to carry on discussion about the US  presence in Afghanistan after 2014, this is VERY GOOD news for the US, it will allow the US to get out, and not leave a force that could come under attack from the Taliban and Al Qaeda, the War in Afghanistan is loss folks, its OVER, the US and its NATO allies are leaving, those that have supported the Western action should think about getting out, once the Allies are out the Afghan Civil War will start, the US it can be postulated will keep drones in Pakistan, they can be used to take out any threat, thus this action by Karzai might be benefit to the Oval and the US, its not high politics folks, its CYA, and this time the Chicago politics of the Oval is right, still dirty pool but right folks for the US and the West. 

Obama's scare tactics over Budget Cuts - 2nd Obama Term

Lets Get Real:

Think folks if you really want a deal with the other  side would you say the following kind of things, " ..It’s happening because Republicans in Congress chose this outcome over closing a single wasteful tax loophole that helps reduce the deficit. Just this week, they decided that protecting special interest tax breaks for the well-off and well-connected is more important than protecting our military and middle-class families from these cuts... ".   The Oval is playing to its LIBERAL base, the Obama Oval has not stopped the Campaign since 08 folks, that is the problem when you have a former community organiser as a President, he does not think about leadership, he thinks its Government is a 24/7 Campaign, the worse think folks is that Obama is a clever man, he knows its rubbish but it what got him him the Oval, he does understand a Campaign is different from being in Government, that is sad folks. 

Speaker Boehner and the Republican House

The New York Times: Reports the following facing Republican Speaker Boehner when it comes to the up coming  economic cliff, " ..must decide whether he wants to seal his role as an essential player in a grand plan to restructure the nation’s fiscal condition, or continue the status quo of the very gridlock voters appear to detest. ". 

Lets Get Real:

This is commentary folks, the uber liberal NYT just wants to raise taxes, what the voter did on Election day was keep the present gridlock in place,  the Obama Coattails did not make the Democrats the majority party in the House, without the House no grand deal.   Any economic recession from the US going over the cliff would be a Obama recession, the voters that elected POTUS for a 2nd term as not the same voters that voted to keep the Republican House.   Lets be clear President Obama go re-elected on a narrow margin when looking back to 2008.   The US is split, the Oval could appeal on the TV and the new media for public support for tax hikes, but that group are not Republican primary voters, and they tend not to vote in Mid Terms, thus the reason that the Republicans took the House in 2010.   The Republican members of the House face re-election in 2014, they tend to be in safe seats, thus the main threat is in the primary, thus they have to keep their party base happy, that base has no interest in tax hikes, also the Speaker wants to keep his job as Speaker, thus he has to keep members on board.   The White House will find as other 2nd term Presidents have found their power wanes faster than they thought, the Democrats and Republicans will get getting ready for 2014 and 2016 and the Obama will not be on the ticket. That might be the hardest lesson that Obama learns in the Oval, that he does not matter, none of them like that, that is the bubble of the Oval. 

No to TAX HIKES - Speaker Boehner

Lets Get Real: 

Even if the Speaker wanted to deal on tax hikes he could not get his members to go along, lets recall House members do not have term limits, thus they have to look over their shoulder at the next election, they have no interest in agreeing to any Obama idea if it effects 2014.   That is the simple brutal truth.  The Speaker will not raise taxes, and this blog has doubts that even the Democratic Senate would agree to tax hikes at the level the President wants, that cliff will have Obama's attached to it should the US go over it, thus the Oval might have won re-election but it did so with a lower margin than in 2008, the Obama coattails did not help the Democrats take the House, and the House can cut off Obama at the knees when it comes to his domestic agenda, thus two to four more years of gridlock with the US heading the path of Rome and the British Empire, ah those Reagan/Thatcher years look great now folks.

Clever move by the Romney Team, they are nicking the HOPE AND CHANGE message of Obama in 2008.   It is pity they did not move to this track early on, if they had they could have won.    Even with the polls looking good for Romney this blog still sees a 2nd Obama Term.   Lets see what the 3rd debate on Foreign Policy bring folks.

It seems from reports that the school was closed, so far no reports of deaths as of this moment. The US presence in Africa and the Middle East is taking a bounding, and where is President Obama? he is on the Campaign trail, and the press do not say a word. The press have shown by their lack of critical review of Obama at this moment that they can not be trusted. They should be asking tough questions of POTUS and they are NOT, they have to support him, he was their man, they covered for him in 2008, they are doing the same in 2012. The Romney/Ryan ticket have to get tougher, they have to nail President Obama to the wall, he is Carter Mark 2, the press will not do its job, the Republicans have to get in to the trenches, time to bring a political cannon to a knife fight. Its the Chicago way folks.

The President who got a Nobel Peace Prize for turning up and has developed a trigger finger will have to show on Thursday why the US voter should not consider his recoded over four years, unemployment at over 8%, the US in 16 trillion of debt, the majority of voters think the Country is heading in the wrong direction. Then there is ObamaCare, the President tries to avoid the subject, this time he can not, lets see what else the political Gods do to the Obama Campaign, sorry they have done it already, they have stuck Obama with VP Biden, those Gods you have to love them.

Lets see if the liberal main stream media in the US picks up this story, as it is negative about POTUS do not hold your breath. The US Media on the whole with the exception of Fox News bought in to the Obama Campaign in 2008. They can not afford to be shown to be wrong about their choice, thus in the mind of the media Obama is still the man who was firm in the killing of OBL, they will not want to show a weak leader who was forced in to action by a woman, and a Clinton at that, it would be to much for them, they would have a break down, a real one folks. Thus the real POTUS is on show, lets hope Syria is not reading the Mail.

This is a typical Chicago attack advert folks, none of the allegations are illegal, its like if President Obama is asking Romney if he has ever been a communist, and he has to prove that he has not done anything illegal. This is the gutter politics of Chicago, the US voter in 2008 voted for hope and change, and what are they getting, an advert that Richard Nixon would have been proud off, its that low folks, it shows that President Obama can not defend his own record, if the election is about Obama he will lose, thus these allegations, SHAME ON YOU MR PRESIDENT.

Making IT in the US - Romney Advert

Lets Get Real:

This is a great advert, allows a REAL businessman to challenge President Obama as to who builds a business, also it should go down well with blue collar old Reagan Democrats in the swing States. This is the 2nd political gaffe by President Obama, he needs to rest up more, and think about his statements, as noted in my twitter feed, he could be making mistakes that he would not have done in 2008 due to the total campaign mode he is in, need for rest and more strategic thinking from the Oval.

Obama 08 vs. Obama 12 - Romney Advert

Lets Get Real:

This is a good advert, it lets the elite media have a go at President Obama. But its not hard enough, the elite media did not vet Obama in 08, they had more interest him in winning that vetting his record. The Romney Campaign has to VET Obama again, either the Romney Campaign or a Republican Super Pac, allow them to go through his personal history, recall voters aspects of the Obama record that the elite media did not want to cover, his racist Pastor being one, his friends the urban terrorists, how Obama needed his political green card from these two sections to get a start in Chicago politics. If the Chicago Re-Elect Committee wants to play dirty lets show them how the game is played, the last man standing wins, that simple folks, very Irish, very Chicago.
