The Republican Convention - Donald Trump

Lets Get Real:

At least the Convention will not be boring, over the decades they have become PR shows and quite boring.  On the other hand its in bad taste to go over the affairs of Bill Clinton, we know he is hound dog, we do not need to be told.    Also using Benghazi is not fair on the families of those lost in Libya, the Congress has cleared HRC when it comes to her actions, one wonders can HRC sue Trump and the Republicans.   It quite different spinning for the Clintons, to my last breath I WILL NEVER understand why Republican voters voted for the Donald.

Labour's Poll Tax - Corbyn Era

Lets Get Real:

The Labour Leader Jeremy Corbyn must be worried that the voters that voted for him last time will not be able to afford the £25 poll tax to vote in the Labour contest, he should be worried.   The Labour National Executive Committee are changing the pool of voters, they must be thinking that they had to allow Corbyn on the ballot but they can control the vote.   One can see this heading to the Courts, when the Labour Party does internal destruction it does it on a big scale.

A New Centre Party for the UK - Corbyn Era

Lets Get Real:

This blog has it doubts that the Labour Party has the courage to split, on the other hand the rebels MPs would have four years to build up a base in their local areas, also it will get funding form those that want a real chance of a Labour Government.   The rebels MPs would become the official Opposition while Corbyn would be pushed back to share seats with the SNP.   Nothing last forever, even political parties.

Trump's choice for VP - Governor Mike Pence

BBC News: Profile of Governor Mike Pence.

Lets Get Real:

All the Governor has to do to be successful is stay quiet and be Trump's attack dog.   The Nominee needs a counter balance, someone who acts a looks sane, and no hair problems.   The profile states that the Governor is popular with social conservatives, so his job is to get the base out.  If Trump fails as is expected then this allows Pence to have a chance in 2020, so he must be tied to Trump but not to tight, when the Trump campaign fails it should not take down the Governor.   Politics is a ruthless business, you take your chance when it comes.
