This could be Europe overreacting, let us see what a President Trump says about Syria and Russia once he is in power.  It should be noted that it is only now that Trump is getting the full intelligence brief, also he has stated that he wants to build up US defences, this might not go down well with Putin's Russia.   Of course Putin could try something between now and January 20th 2017, he has sent his fleet to the seas near Syria, it is thought a major strike will happen, then the World will see what the President Elect thinks, or Putin could try something in the Baltic States, let us recall that President Obama is still in charge and will be in till next year, it should be recalled that Obama removed the missile defences from Poland, this did not go down well in Eastern Europe.   President Obama was a late arrival to the new Cold War.   Let's be fair, let's give Trump a chance.

Lets Get Real:

An interesting article that argues that the HRC campaign did not make sure it kept its own Blue States and went with the wrong message.   This blog did hear that Bill Clinton suggested going with the economic message and the need to support blue collar workers, the old Reagan Democrats, but instead the campaign went with the negative attacks on the Donald.    As to to the first mistake, the article points out that the HRC campaign was trying to turn red States Blue, while not looking after States that Trump would need to win.   As the article points out HRC did not even visit Wisconsin, it alright having a firewall, but as with PC firewalls you have to update them, in political terms, spend money and make sure your local game is up for a tough fight.    This blog recalls that Bill Clinton told his VP, Al Gore to look after his home State, the VP did not and lost that State, and thus his chance at the Presidency.   Well on to the 2018 Mid Terms.

Lets Get Real:

In the day the Clintons were the future, well correct that, Bill Clinton was the future, he won two terms as President, even at the cost of losing the House to Republicans.  With the exception of President Obama the later nominees have been losers, Gore lost Bush 43 in 2000, then Senator Kerry lost in 2004.  In 2008 Obama was elected and served two terms, of course he defeated HRC in 2008, that was supposed to be the year of HRC, but she lost to the young Senator.   Then eight years later HRC defeated the left wing Senator Sanders but lost to Donald Trump in the general election.   The Democrats have to cut the Clintons lose, there TIME is over when it comes to leading the Democratic Party, they need another Bill Clinton or Obama, the safe bet is no longer the right bet.

Lets Get Real:

The one reason for the defeat of HRC is Hillary Clinton herself, she is not a good candidate, she is not Bill Clinton.   The FBI letters only rose out of HRC having a private email server, even President Underwood in the House of Cards does not have server.   One can not be sure how many enemies of the US hacked the Clinton server, how many secret emails were read. At least the Democrats can now now look for younger leaders, who are not tainted by connection to the Clintons.   It is time for the Democratic Party to rebuild itself, it has reached rock bottom when it comes to Governors and States held.   The Trump Era is going to be an interesting ride.
