The Mid Terms and the Obama Legacy - 2nd Term Blues

Lets Get Real:

It is not all doom and gloom, Obama is still President, he can make history on the international stage, he has the WARS in Iraq and Syria, then the overall WAR ON TERROR, then we have the presence of ten thousand US troops in Afghanistan, the talks with Iran on its nuclear plans, the ever present threat from Putin's Russia.   Lets start with Iraq and Syria, the US needs ground troops in Syria and Iraq, that is the only way that the US can win, either Obama places troops in these two countries or the World will think that he is not tough enough to wins these wars.   In the War on Terror, the Oval needs to carry on with its drone strikes and the use of Special Forces, it has worked, and this blog has stated so, then we come to the troubling deal with a nuclear Iran, if the deal benefits Iran THE US Congress, both Republicans and Democrats will hit the roof.   Also Israel might strike knowing that the US Congress will support such action.  On Russia the OVAL has to be tough, its a new Cold War 2, weakness in front of the Russian bear will go down badly with Eastern Europe.   As stated Obama can make history or be defined by history, is he strong enough to be tough.

POTUS FAILS to HEAR Mid Term Message, - 2nd Term Blues

Lets Get Real:

The ego of President Obama can not take the fact that he has been rejected by the US voter, at the end of the day its about OBAMA, one can almost argue that POTUS does not care about the Democratic Party, in the mind of POTUS he can never be wrong, that what happens when the press cover for you, you fail to understand political reality, the Oval is right less people voted than in the 2012 race, that is the problem for the Democrats, the Obama surge of voters only happens if Obama is on the ticket, the Democratic Presidential candidate in 2016 will have to build a new political blocks that gets them elected.   The White House tried to get African Americans out to vote as to help Democratic Candidates, it did not work, and the Clintons were not of much use either, its all to play for in 2016, who can make voters take a leap of faith and support in 2016.

The BIG Republican WIN - 2nd Obama Term

Lets Get Real:

Thus the 2014 Mid Terms are over, lets get on with the 2016 Presidential race, this STARTS NOW, it is expected that Hillary Clinton will throw her hat in the ring next year, also there is a strong current with Republican ranks for Jeb Bush to run in 2016.    One has to ask are there no new Reagan's or Obama's out there, it seems the US has developed political brands of families, the Roosevelts, Kennedys, Bush's, and you either need a brand name, or be very rich or now people who are rich who think your the man or woman for THE Oval Office.  It would be nice to see a new face, to really support someone who brings something new to the game, not that new that is called Obama and that has been a disaster, someone at least who has run a business or State, has travelled well and understands international politics, but not naive, this blog wants another JFK or Reagan, Obama has been a failure, so that leap of faith you do when you support a candidate has to have some foundation, is that asking to much of the political system.

The Republican Senate and the Oval Office

Lets Get Real:

The above are soothing words, the kind of words that the liberal NYT likes to hear,  the actual reality will be different, the Senate and the Republican House will start to make life HELL for the Obama Administration, so far the Oval has been protected by having a Democratic Senate, NOW the game has changed, as noted in my previous post the Republicans will drag members of the Obama Administration past and present before the Republican Senate to investigate scandals over the past six years.   The election of the Republican Senate means that the US voter has made it clear that they are VERY unhappy with the Oval Office.   Lets see what POTUS does, can he make deals, can he rent votes in the US Senate as President Reagan did in his time with a Democratic House.   The next two years are going to be tough for President Obama.

The US Mid Term Election Results - 2nd Obama Term

CNN - Politics: Reports on the Mid Term Election results, the Republicans keep the House as expected and take the Senate with 7 picks up, the article notes the following, " A Republican tide ripped the Senate away from Democrats Tuesday, giving the GOP full control of Congress and the power to pin down President Barack Obama during his last two years in office. "

Lets Get Real:

Thus the Republicans can start to place real pressure on the Oval Office, expect the Senate to have a joint investigation with the House when it comes to the scandals of the 2nd Obama term, the first scandal will be the deaths of the US Ambassador in LIbya in 2012, a few weeks before the Presidential Election.   Then there will be the domestic scandals, the use of the NSA to spy on Americans, the failure of ObamaCare and its results.   That should keep the Republicans busy, also Obama will have to work with the Senate to get his Government posts filled and his picks for the Federal bench.  Its a good to be a Republican
