Rasmussen Reports: Reports that 40% of Americans see President Ronald Reagan as the most influential President in 50 years. This shows the wise judgement of Americans, after the disaster that was the Carter Presidency the US needed Reagan, he cut taxes, he cut welfare, he raised defence spending, he bought the US out of the shadow that was Vietnam. The greatest success for Reagan it can be argued on the domestic front was to allow Americans to believe in the US again, it was that Shining City on a Hill, all things were possible. On the International Stage Reagan closed down the Cold War, the US won and the USSR ended up in the bin. All Presidents want to be Reagan, even Obama has tried, but there will always be only one Reagan, the Gipper did good.
A look at the Politics of the United States and the UK. The Foreign Policies of both countries and how they behave in the International Community.

Ronald Reagan and US Public Opinion
Gallup and the Republican Race
Gallup: Reports on its latest poll of the Republican Race, today Senator Santorum leads Governor Romney by 36% to 26%, a 10% lead. This is time for Romney to finish off Santorum, if the Senator can take Michigan the home State of Governor Romney and do well on Super Tuesday the race will be different, Senator Santorum will be the presumptive Republican Nominee and Governor Romney will be the major underdog. This is might be the major shock that Romney needs to show if he has any backbone, does really want the nomination, then he is in a political knife fight for his political future, he really has to find a way to take Santorum down in Michigan and on Super Tuesday, otherwise it can be argued that Santorum could start to look like a Winner, this would be hard PR for Romney, as the poll from Texas shows, Santorum could be the candidate to beat, who saw that coming!

The Iron Dome of Israel - Iran Crisis
Daily Mail: Reports that Israel has placed rocket interceptors around Tel Aviv, its political Capital. Folks Israel says this is an exercise but it would be a way to defend the Capital while getting ready to attack Iran, the building blocks for an attack are getting set in place folks, there is a forthcoming visit by the Israeli PM to the Oval Office, on one level it could be a way for the Oval to get Israel to wait for the effect of the sanctions, on the other it could be the Israeli PM telling the Oval that there is a cut off date, no matter what, it would be interesting to be a fly on the wall for that meeting folks.
Iran OIL THREAT to EU
Guardian: Reports that Iran has threatened to block oil to other EU Countries after blocking oil to the UK and France. This could be an economic move folks, to drive up the price of a barrel of oil as to get foreign currency for the Tehran Regime that is starting to see the effects of the sanctions by the US and EU on its oil and banking sectors. The question is what is the end game folks, will Iran give up its nuclear ambitions, so far no trace of that, just the offer of endless talks, will Israel allow Iran to become a nuclear power, NO is the simple answer. Thus when does the balloon go up folks, the US Defence Secretary has stated that Israel could strike Iran between April and June, it could be argued that Israel might hit in October, just before the US Presidential Election, thus forcing President Obama to support Israel. Of course there could be an accident, on purpose by the Tehran Regime, they could hit a US Ship or attempt to close down the Persian Gulf, then all bets are off folks, time will tell.
Santorum and Texas - Republican Race
Telegraph: Reports that former US Senator Rick Santorum has a 27% lead in Texas. Folks its down to Michigan, if Santorum can WIN Michigan and Arizona this race could be over for Governor Romney. Thus the Romney Camp has to spend its last dollar in Michigan, it would be a symbolic defeat if Romney was to lose Michigan, he was born there, he worked there and his father was a State Governor, if the people of your home State don’t trust you why should voters in other States. The question that Republican voters have to ask is can Santorum win against President Obama, as of 21 February 2012 the answer is NO. But this is February, lets recall Jimmy Carter and his Campaign wanted to run against Ronald Reagan, thus convention wisdom as this Republican Race has show is not sometimes worth the paper its written on or even BLOG. The Santorum Campaign has to keep the Senator off social issues, we all NOW he is very Conservative, the Campaign has to be about the economy, it’s the economy stupid as the Clinton Campaign used to great effect in 1992. Its going to be a interesting few months folks.
