It's up to the US Supreme Court to decide if Trump can be a candidate - 2024 Candidate/2024 General Election

Thus this helps Trump, the elite media and establishment are seen to try to thwart Trump, it does not help democracy or the legal system, the hope is that the US Supreme Court throw out this ruling, it would be a warning to other Stages not to try this, the same thing could happen to Biden.  Also it gives something else for President Putin to crow about, that the liberal establishment will break the law or do anything to thwart Trump.  The legal system should be used as a last resort, not the first way to challenge the opposition, the US Presidency should not be decided by lawyers and judges as in 2000 as in Bush vs Gore.

As stated in my previous most, either HRC has lost the plot or is planning to get in to the 2020 race, why attack a candidate so low in the ratings, we all respect to Rep, Gabbard's she is not in the top tier and at least she has served her Nation, unlike Bill Clinton or Bush 43 in Vietnam ( let's be be fair, Bush 43 was in the Texas national guard as a flyer and had a uniform).   It is interesting to see from the article that the feud between the two ladies goes back to 2016 when Gabbard supported Senator Sanders, the Clintons NEVER forget or forgive.  If HRC is going to make such statement from the touch line then she should expect to be attacked, if she really thinks the above she should get in to the race, she did win the popular vote in 2016 and did not grandstand over the issue, unlike Al Gore in 2000 over Florida.  Run HRC, the Crown could still be yours.

It will be good to hear the side of the story from Monica Lewinsky, and since is one of the Producers it can be assume it will not be sleazy, no Cigar mentions ( read up on the subject if you must ).  This blog on the whole does not follow crime stories, but since it's the team behind  the murder of Gianni Versace, a taught excellent drama, it is worth a look.  As this blog has stated, it was others who paid the price for Bill Clinton, it can be argued that Al Gore lost the 2000 Election because of the Clinton affair with Lewinsky, in normal course of events, a good economy, the US at peace the voter it was expected to vote for Gore, it did not, well Gore won the popular vote but lost the electoral college vote to Bush 43, when the US Supreme Court decided in essence that Florida had gone for Bush 43.   The course of history was set from 9/11 onwards.  Then in 2016 HRC was the nominee, and she also lost the electoral college vote, with half of the Country wanting to lock her up because of the deleted emails, it was a really shock when Trump won the three States he need to become President.   One of the fears of voters was what would Old Dog do in the White House, that being Bill Clinton.  Thus as stated others paid the costs for Bill. 

Not the TIME for Beto ? - 2020 Democratic Race

As stated on Meet the Press, the reason that Beto is getting press and air time it down to the fact that he is good looking and young.  The Democrats want another Bill Clinton ( without the scandal ) or Barack Obama.  The problem is that Beto has never really been tested, yes he was in the House for three terms, and ran for Senator in Texas, a Texas Democrat might not be a normal Democrat, Beto said he was a capitalist when asked about his economic view, the Democrats have gone LEFT, very LEFT, they might not elect a young white guy with odd teeth, however earnest and good looking he might be.   He is no JFK or RFK, there is no record to Beto, he streams he his thoughts on social media, very much like Donald Trump.  One can postulate that he is looking to be the VP nominee to Joe Biden should he win the nomination.  This is not 1992, when the Democrats nominated Bill Clinton and Al Gore,  the Democrats will want a female, ethnic candidate to be the VP, sorry that does not mean Senator Warren ( let's not discuss her claim to be from Native - American decent ).   Let's see how Beto does in the debates, there will be a lot of candidates, let's see who shines. 

The Death of Bush 41 and the present President - Trump Era

This blog was sad to hear the news of the death of Bush 41, the right man in the Oval Office when the Berlin Wall came down, the USSR fell apart and when Iraq invaded Kuwait.   The President was a WW2 hero, and a dedicated public servant, UN Ambassador, CIA Director, Vice - President to the great Ronald Reagan, and President in his own right.   It hard to think that Bush 41 was called a wimp by some, being a WW2 hero in recent decades does not get you far, the President has to move to the right to become Gipper's VP.  It should be noted that Bush 41 is the only VP or Nominee of a Party to be a successor to a sitting President who has served two terms as President in over a hundred years.   Bush 41 managed what VP Gore and HRC failed to do, follow their Party leader in to the White House.    If  President Trump is not worthy to shine the golf shoes of the Gipper he is not worthy to clean the boats Bush 41 used to relax and fish.   One can only hope that he will be Presidential at the Bush Funeral and does not say that Bush 41 voted for HRC.   A sad few days for the US.

Thus far Hillary Clinton has blamed everyone from the FBI to the Russians for her defeat, it is not fair to blame President Obama, this blog had issues with the Obama Administration but it has to be said that President Obama stated his legacy was on the line in 2016 and supported HRC as best he could.   Let's recall that in modern history only one VP has been the successor to his boss, the President, that was Bush 41 who took over from President Reagan.   In 2000 Al Gore the sitting Vice President lost to Bush 41, in 2008 Senator McCain lost to President Obama, and it can be argued that Bill Clinton and Obama are rather good politicians.   It would be interesting to study what President Reagan did different from his successors that allowed his VP to win, a Ph.d of worthy of study.

There is far to easy a joke to this comment by Hillary Clinton, it's called Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky, before HRC starts on the President,  there is ANOTHER man she should have  a go at, that is Bill Clinton, the behaviour of Bill Clinton in the late 1990s allowed for Donald Trump.  The argument used by the Clinton team in the 1990s was that the personal behaviour of Bill Clinton did not affect his actions as President.   Thus the Trump Team argued that Trump was a deal maker, and his personal vices did not matter, thus the US voter had taken the lesson of the Clinton team to heart, if you overlook his personal problems, Bill Clinton was a good President, and could have been a great President, he  bought the US out of recession, he solved the the War in Bosnia, and came close to getting a Middle East Peace deal, but his personal failings made sure that his Vice - President, Al Gore did not win the 2000 Election.  Thus in away he helped in the election of Donald Trump.

IF you are interested in politics you will read Jonathan Allen and Amie Parnes’s new book on the 2016 Campaign, Shattered, it so popular by book shop had to wait in till it was being sent out again by his stockist.   It can be argued that in modern politics, the elections of 2000 and 2016 are the most interesting, Vice - President Al Gore should have won, the US was at peace the economy was going well, his one problem from his perspective was his boss, President Clinton has just about survived Impeachment, and thus the Gore Campaign wanted some distance from the Candidate Gore and the President.   It has been argued that was a mistake, that Bill Clinton was still popular, and could have helped in the South, but even Gore could not win his own home State, thus he failed to get the Presidency.   In 2016 was the turn of Hillary Clinton, the wife of Bill, former Senator and Secretary of State.  Bill Clinton told her to go after the White Vote, she did not listen, and thus lost the rust belt States.   What ever you think about Bill, he has politics in his blood, he understands the process.  Could HRC give it another try in 2020, never say never!

It was the most shocking ending to a Presidential election since 2000, the candidate that was suppose to win for the 2nd time had lost the election to a businessman who was loathed by half of the Country, just not as loathed as Hillary Clinton was 2016.  The experts the bloggers ALL had HRC winning, the polls had her winning every time.   In the end the US voter decided to shock the press, political elite and elected President Trump.  Of course there was the rumour that HRC would try for Mayor of New York, that would have been 100% election win, but after you lose the Presidency twice, once to Obama now Trump it must be hard to think that Mayor of New York would be the solution, you would be held by New Yorkers to make sure their bins were emptied, it hardly having the nuclear suitcase by you at all time.   The question is what now for HRC, could she run again in 2020, it would be tall order, and there is saying in US politics that there are no third acts in a political career. This blog would not count HRC out, after all we have a Trump Presidency.

The 2016 US Presidential Election will go down in history, it was not meant to end like it did, it recalls that famous photo of President Truman showing the headline from a newspaper that stated that he had lost the election, he of course had won.   In 1960 there was the close election between Kennedy and Nixon, and the iffy ballots in two States, in 2000 Gore should have won but he lost Florida and did not win his own home State.   In 2016 nearly ALL the polls showed that Hillary Clinton would win, and become the first woman President.  Well in the end Trump won the rust belt States.  As a contributor on CNN stated that DATA does not vote, the Clinton Campaign thought it understood the election process and how to engage the voter, through tracking mass data, it was bad mistake to make.   The LIBERAL LEFT will always blame the Russians, or the FBI, what they can not see and refuse to see is the FACT that HRC was a bloody bad candidate, she thought she was owed the Oval Office by right, in fact the US voter said NO, and they said that NO in the rust belt States, thus the electoral college win of Trump.

This is a good poll rating to have at the end of two terms, it should be noted that Bill Clinton had 66% approval rating by Gallup in 2001, while Reagan had 63% in 1989, thus far the Gallup poll has not been published for Obama.   Of course Reagan had seen his VP, Bush 41 elected his successor, while Clinton saw his VP, Al Gore defeated by Bush 43, and Obama has seen the Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton go down to Donald Trump.   The press really HATE the Trump, they are hardly objective when it comes to President Trump, let's hope the new President is very lucky and can produce results, if US is great again then the World is better off, if Trump is a disaster the World suffers, both in the economic and security field.

The press view of President Trump makes the press and Richard Nixon look like a love in between the two.   The elite media press hate Trump, but he has one major plus, he brings in ratings, and is not PC.  This of course send the elite media up the wall, the new President will use Twitter to have a go at the the press and any one else that he thinks has been critical.   The press loved President Obama and was his major supporter, while the Ronald Reagan team managed the press, and look to be few days ahead of them, of course in the age of Twitter, Internet, and bloggers there is only so much control any White House can have of the press.   Obama and Reagan could go over the heads of the press, that is why they were popular, Reagan recalled the names of the reports, and least tried to act as if he liked them, he did leave with a 63% approval rating and his VP was his successor, the only President in the modern era to see his VP become President, the rest either had VP who did not run, Cheney, Biden, or saw their VP go down to defeat as was the case with Al Gore.   If not the VP the nominee of the Party who had the White House for two terms has lost, as is the case with Hillary Clinton.  A President Trump with Twitter and the nuclear football, will give you nightmares.

This is why Presidents like either their Vice - President to win or the Party nominee.   The only President who has been that lucky is the great Ronald Reagan, his successor was Bush 41, his Vice - President.    Every other President in the modern era, ( 1980 onwards ) with the exception of Reagan has seen his Vice - President or Party nominee lose.   The fact that Bush 41 won helped the Reagan legacy, while you would be hard pressed to see other Presidents invoked as much as Reagan is by Republicans and Democrats.   At the present the Democrats are being foreign policy hawks, this is a great surprise to this blogger, the Gipper has to put up with constant attacks by liberals that he was to hard on the then USSR.  That is what happens Dems when you lose an election.

IF recall 2000 election you are starting to see the re-forming of the patterns that lead to that contested election, thus do not be taken aback when this case goes ALL the way up to the US Supreme Court, of course the COURT is tied, thus the last Court decision will stand, depends if the Judge is a Republican or Democratic appointment.   If all else fails the process moves to the House, as the Republicans control the House they will give the Presidency to Trump.   If your a political geek you will love this process, it could take weeks, well in to the New Year. Nothing is EVER over in US politics.

The Democrats and the left has to keep supporting the recounts efforts in the three rust belt States, you never know, and there is chance it MIGHT change the result.  There about 13 days to go before the electoral college meets, A chance of a Clinton victory looks slim, but you have to try, the thought of Trump in power after January 20th 2017 should cause even the most quiet person to be worried, so count States, and let us cross our fingers in hope.

Pennsylvania - Recount Requested - Trump Era?

Each State has its own rules, the biggest problem for Jill Stein will be Michigan, in that State the winner can object to the recount, this means a move to the Courts.   Of course the hard deadline is 13 December, any recount has to be done by then, the Courts can not overturn that Federal law.   Of course as stated by this blog we could see the decision thrown into the Court system, each State has different rules and voting machines.   If your a political junkie and no fan of the Trump you're loving this, while of course the Trum is forming his Administration.

Obama Administration vs. HRC Campaign - Part 2 - Trump Era?

President Putin must love this, even if the Russians have not hacked the US voting system, it draws attention while Putin takes action in Syria or East Ukraine.   Moscow PR will show the Russian people how broken the US system is, you have HRC with more votes, but Trump winning the electoral college, they will show that the US is trying to blame Russia.   The Russian people will feel like a Super Power again and they might not have done anything in this case.

President Obama is protecting his legacy, it would look BAD if the Russians had hacked the electoral system and that Oval Office did not know, thus this break between Obama and Clinton.   The Clinton Campaign is throwing this dice just in case it can win, losing is never good, and let us get real here, the HRC would make a better President that Trump, she is a hawk on Syria and Russia, while Trump has been soft on Russia and Putin.   It will give the 24 hour TV news channels something to cover for the next few weeks, American elections never end!!

Trump on Wisconsin Part 2 - Trump Era?

Lets Get Real:

Wisconsin could be Florida 2000 all over again, the lawyers for Trump, Clinton, Stein will be ready to move the issue on to the Courts, will the US Supreme Court have to decide who the next President is, the Russians must be laughing they see Obama on the way and a crisis developing as to who will be the next President.   The Democrats are sore losers but in this case as stated they could be right, what  if the voting machines were hacked by the Russians, they wanted a Trump victory, the question is can you check every voting machine, it would take months, and the rules say the electoral college meets on December 19th.   If that is a problem it goes to the Republican House to decide, that has not happened in modern memory.

Why HRC and the Democrats LOST in 2016

Lets Get Real:

The above might be true, but have the rust belt States made a mistake, how can President Trump bring back jobs, is he going to throw out NAFTA, and other trade deals, even if he does this, will it bring back jobs, one has doubts.   The only way to attract jobs is to make the USA business friendly, cut taxes, make US companies want to build factories in the rust belt, make it a tax plus if they do, for companies that will not move back to the US the Trump Administration should bring in negative taxes against these companies, make the shareholders pay for any slow movement.    The old heavy industries are not cost effective in the US, that is why they are abroad, modern Western workers want less work and more pay, while developing countries are just happy to have the jobs.    This could be a long process.   On the culture side the President - Elect has made it clear that he is happy with gay marriage, and that it is settled LAW.   ON abortion he wants the States to decide, so a woman might have to go to another State for an abortion.   In fact those women who want an abortion in Northern Ireland have to go to England for the operation.   The President - Elect has been clear about this from the start, so religious voters must have been aware, does the economy trump faith, it is an interesting question, have religious voters accepted same sex marriage as a civil right, that would be positive development.

The Democratic Party needs to move to the centre ground, otherwise it might find it wins the popular vote in future elections but loses the White House prize.   It should be note that this has happened twice in the 21st Century, in the 2000 election and this year, it could become quite frequent if the Democrats do not understand what happened in 2016.
