BBC News: Reports that President Zelensky has agreed to talks with President Putin of Russia in Turkey, after pressure from Trump.

Lets Get Real:

The Ukraine and the coalition of the willing yesterday demanded a 30 day ceasefire, Putin then announced talks for Thursday in Turkey on a ceasefire, will Putin turn up in person after agreeing to a ceasefire.  The Donald is desperate for the Nobel Peace Prize, forget it POTUS, the Nobel Committee would rather give it to Dr Crippen than him, its very left, it gave the prize to Obama for doing nothing, just getting elected in 2008.  Interesting few days ahead.

The Polls for 2020 - US Presidential Election

The Biden campaign should use Ronald Reagan as an example, the happy warrior, Biden should not allow himself to get dragged in to fights with POTUS, he is NO BARACK OBAMA, the former VP has a foot in mouth problem.   The left elite are afraid of this and thus recent attempts to get Biden to say NO to the Presidential Debates, the left is afraid that Trump will eat him alive, they have a valid concern.   The Biden Campaign should stress positive aspects about the candidate and his campaign.   The Candidate should send a message of bringing people together and no more appeasing Moscow and remaking the agreement with Iran.   Biden has to be careful he does not lose this race before it has began. 

Kerry NOT RUNNING in 2020 - Iowa Part 4 - US Election 2020

The thought that Kerry would run shows how nervous the Democratic Establishment is about a Sanders nomination.  Let's speculate that HRC decides to run again, she won the popular vote in 2016 and has been stuck with nothing to do since 2016, as in elected office, she and Bill must be going mad, politics and Clintons go together like tea and milk.  It can be argued that HRC has the right to run again, she actually BEAT Trump in votes, and thus it would be only fair to give her chance to beat him in 2020.   The chances of that happening are ZERO, the Democratic candidates would not take kindly to a Clinton run again, it is seen that she blew her chances in 2008 and 2016, there are no third acts in American politics.

Although political geeks like this blog and those that have an interest in politics would come to view that Biden was going to be the nominee from the national Democratic polls taken so fart, that would be BIG MISTAKE.   Let's recall that HRC was sure fire winner in 2008, the Crown was for her to lose, and she did lose it to Barack Obama, in 2016 Senator Sanders gave HRC a run for her money and still lost to POTUS.  The good people of Iowa and New Hampshire do not like to be taken for granted, they expect the candidate to come to their homes, to talk policy with them and their neighbours, it is general said there are two to three tickets out of Iowa, so let's speculate that those three are Biden, Warren and Sanders, the big test will be New Hampshire, can the candidate who takes IOWA also take NEW HAMPSHIRE, if a candidate manages to that they are heading for the nomination.   It nearly 5 months before IOWA, a week is a long time in politics, months are years.

Warren LEADS in IOWA - Election 2020

This is one poll from Iowa, could be a trend or a snafu, it will be interesting to see other polls from Iowa.  In 1980 Bush 41 won Iowa against Ronald Reagan, ( the Reagan Campaign decided not to play in Iowa and therefore Reagan did not debate Bush 41 ), the win for Bush 41 was a shock, Bush 41 claimed the BIG MO was with him in the run up to New Hampshire, well Reagan won the debate and the State, thus his famous line to a debate moderator, " Mr Green I paid for his microphone ).  The rest is history.  In 2008 the Senator Barack Obama won in Iowa, thus showing he could get the white vote ( Senator Harris really has to spend ALL HER TIME in Iowa ), this forced HRC to win New Hampshire.  It can be argued if ONE candidates takes Iowa and New Hampshire, there is no stopping them.  It would be fun to see Trump vs Warren, Trump would win, as Warren is far to left wing even for Democrats. 

Biden FEELING THE HEAT in New Hampshire - Election 2020

This could mean trouble for the moderate Joe Biden, the former VP to Barack Obama, it shows that the attacks on him from his Senatorial to his Vice Presidential record have had some effect.  The Biden Campaign should be concerned that it could be defeated in Iowa or New Hampshire, one does not have to go back in history to show what happens if that occurs, HRC was seen as the presumptive nominee in 2008, but then she lost IOWA and Barack Obama showed that he could win over white voters, the fear for the Biden camp is that Sanders or Warren could build the BIG Momentum from such a win.  It would be wise for the former VP to spend  a lot of time in Iowa and NH, the voters in these States liked to be asked for their votes, not just assumed to be voting for the right candidate.   Also the next debate will have fewer candidates, so more time for a better debate and not just sound bites.

There is a difference between being popular when you are not running and when you do become a candidate, HRC in 2007/08 was seen as the next Democratic nominee, and a young Senator named Barack Obama came along and changed the future for the Clintons.  In 2016 HRC had a tough fight with the older Senator Sanders, and LOST the electoral college vote to Donald Trump.  If nothing else she must now know how Al Gore felt in 2000.  It is way too early to see who will be the final candidate standing, Biden is ahead because he is not under political attack, once he enters the race expect extreme liberals to go for his record from race to gender.   Also as Beto showed in Iowa he was hard pressed to name the major achievements of the Obama Era, he got ObamaCare, had to think about Iran and stated that Obama has small victories on the international front, that will go down well with Obama and Biden.   Biden also suffers from foot in mouth, he nearly entered the race early, that allowed POTUS to called him out a low IQ.   There are dozens of other Biden gaffe moments, expect outside groups to air them.   This is a very LONG ROAD, as this blog has stated, the debates will be interesting, 15 candidats at the last count, they will have to attack either other or it will look like a anti Trump meeting, the candidates will need to STAND OUT.

In 1984 Walter Mondale's campaign manager asked WHERE IS THE BEEF when it came to Senator Gary Hart, the same question could be asked for Beto O' Rourke, ( Just Beto henceforth ) he has only served three terms in the US House of Representatives and has a failed Senate run Texas, his home State.  In other words he is a LOSER, but because of his goods looks and running a good campaign in Texas he is seen as another Bill Clinton or Barack Obama, winners for the record.   Beto was interviewed on Meet the Press on Sunday, he struggled on the record of the Obama Administration, he noted ObamaCare, but when it came to Foreign he was lost for words nearly, he mentioned IRAN but did not mention that President Obama gave the okay to take out OBL in his Pakistan House.  This move was supported by HRC but not VP Biden, he was worried about the political ramifications.  President Obama might feel miffed to say the least, Beto stated that Obama had small victories on foreign policy, hardly a ringing endorsement!!  Thus expect Obama to support Biden, if not a full endorsement then stating what the Obama Administration achieved when it it was in power.  Beto is seen as the NEW REAGAN, he is NOT, the Gipper was President of the Screen Actors Guild, hardly a non pressure job, he was also Governor of California for 8 years, ran against President Ford in 1976, and came with a hundred votes of being the nominee and won in 1980.  Beto does not have that kind of record, he has moved to the middle, he knows that a left wing firebrand will not win the fly over States, thus he is thinking LONG TERM and the general election. There are 18 months to go folks, it's going to be a LONG ROAD, as the poet Robert Frost stated in his poem, and this blog is miss quoting badly,  the candidates have miles to go before they have a good night sleep, the cold of Iowa and NH, always travelling, the polls, the polls, the debates, YES folks 2020 has STARTED FOR REAL.

The first impression one gets of Beto O'Rourke is that he reminds you of RFK, Bill Clinton or Barack Obama, that this could be 2008 ALL OVER AGAIN.  If your a West Wing fan you will recall Representative Santos vs. Senator Vinick.   The difference is that Beto, he has a catchy name, comes across as a hippie of the 21st Century, he keeps telling us his thought process and tells everyone on social media.   At former Vice - President Joe Biden does not pander like that, he just says sorry for his past mistakes when it comes to policy and his foot in the mouth problem.   Although Beto, it's easier to recall than Barack, LOST in his Texas Senate race, President Obama got elected to the US Senate, he did not spend that much time in the Senate as he was running for the Presidency, one doubts that President Obama could tell you where his Senate Office was, he was NEVER THERE, he was in Iowa or NH.   At the end of the day Beto LOST, also he has free wheeling style as stated in the article, he speeches come when he is talking, did not have a conventional campaign structure, you need that in a Presidential Campaign.   Also has he really be tested, and has his background been researched, you can be sure the Trump Campaign will do a tough research job.  One recalls at the start of the 21st Century that John Edwards was the darling of the US media, all over the magazines and TV news, we all know how that ended, Edwards being found out by the National Enquire.   That came after he was nominated to be to the VP to John Kerry who was running for President in 2004.  New candidates need to be tested or their failings will be found out, look at the Governor of Virginia, the Lt Governor and the Attorney General.  Uber liberal media, fall in love yes, but know who you are falling in love with.

THIS is really the end of the Clinton Era for the Democrats, the Clintons have been the nominee or running since 1992.   Of course Bill Clinton become President in 1992, beating Bush 41, while in 1996 he beat the WW2 war hero, Senator Bob Dole.   In 2008 HRC was seen as the presumptive Democratic Nominee, but then Senator Barack Obama came along, he appointed HRC as his first Secretary of State, then HRC in 2016 won the Democratic Nomination beating Senator Bernie Sanders, it was expected that she would easily beat Donald Trump, her defeat was the most shocking since 1948, when President Truman was written off by the press.   One must ask why HRC is not running, it can be postulated that she has seen the Democratic Party go to the LEFT, and if she did run she might not get out of the Primary races, also former VP Biden expected to run in 2020.  Thus the ERA of the Clinton as a power within the Democratic Party has come to the end, one wonders what they will do to fill up their time, one would presume, write books, do speeches, support Democratic candidates, do charity work, that is a major LET DOWN from the Presidency.   HRC could blame Bill Clinton for defeat in 2016, when President Clinton was being impeached the Democrats argued that his personal actions did not hinder his official role, well that has made it easier for Donald Trump, a billionaire and TV reality star to become President, the voters had accepted that the personal life of political leaders did not matter, it is what they could do for them when it came their personal lives that mattered.  Thus Bill Clinton did not pay a legal cost for his impeachment, the political cost was paid by his Vice President Al Gore in 2000 and HRC in 2016.

Are the Democrats trying to LOSE the 2020 election, the leading candidates have endorsed a socialist agenda of  Green New Deal, it would cost trillions and would never get pass the US Congress.  The main candidates are pushing for tax hikes on the rich, and medical over for ALL AMERICANS, and the removal of private health insurance.   The Trump State of Union called what the Democrats doing as socialist, what was shocking is the fact that when POTUS stated that the US would never be a socialist country, the Democrats sat on their hands.   Thus the extreme left wing has taken over the Democratic Party, if the Trump Oval could keep on message it could destroy the Democratic Party for 2020.  One only hopes that former VP Joe Biden enters the race, a grown up, but then he has started his sorry tour over his support for tough laws in the 80s and 90s.   IF the Democrats are seen as supporting illegal immigration then they can forget the rust belt States.   They Democrats are making the same mistake as military commanders fighting a new War based on the results of 2018, two years is a LONG TIME, every Presidential Election is different, the Obama Campaign team of 08 and 12 could not get HRC elected, and HRC was a moderate, liberal on domestic issues but tough on foreign policy.   The papers and networks that give Democratic candidates air time, the ones with no chance of winning, are defrauding their customers, the political reports who write about them, should give back their reporters degrees and refund their paychecks, they are not doing their job.   IF the US Government shuts down again, the Trump Oval should keep it CLOSED, make the case that the Democrats are more interested in illegal immigrants that legal Americans.

It can be argued that President Trump is keeping to his election promises, he does not see the US as a World Policeman, also he thinks that US allies are taking advantage of the US when it comes to dealing with crisis points.  It can be postulated that the US voter is tired of the Wars on Terror, from Iraq to Syria, in fact it can be stated that President Obama won in 2008 when he stated he was opposed to the War in Iraq, and in 2011 removed US troops from Iraq, this proved a massive mistake, the US had to send troops back it to defend against Daesh.   It can be argued that the US has returned to his mind set just after World War One, when the US voter decided it not want to get itself tangled up with European problems, this was only removed when World War 2 came about in 1941 for the US ( it had started in Europe in 1939 ), then came the Cold War and the threat from the USSR.  One only hopes it does not take a WAR with Putin's Russia to get the US voter to support a tough National Security Agenda.

The blowback for President Trump will come in the 2018 Mid Terms, the African - American VOTE should raise after the alleged comments, also other minority groups could come out to support the Democrats.  In 2020 if Ms Winfrey decides to run the race could be over, the TV chat show host is a billionaire, has her own brand, and of course is African - American, if she runs the Democratic ticket is her's for the asking.  The question could she win, HRC was meant to be President twice, in 2008 she was beaten for the nomination by then Senator Barack Obama, while in 2016 she was beaten by Donald Trump, the plus side for Ms Winfrey is that she has charisma and her personal story, while HRC has Bill, enough said.  This racist comment could come back to bite POTUS in 2020.

Thus far Hillary Clinton has blamed everyone from the FBI to the Russians for her defeat, it is not fair to blame President Obama, this blog had issues with the Obama Administration but it has to be said that President Obama stated his legacy was on the line in 2016 and supported HRC as best he could.   Let's recall that in modern history only one VP has been the successor to his boss, the President, that was Bush 41 who took over from President Reagan.   In 2000 Al Gore the sitting Vice President lost to Bush 41, in 2008 Senator McCain lost to President Obama, and it can be argued that Bill Clinton and Obama are rather good politicians.   It would be interesting to study what President Reagan did different from his successors that allowed his VP to win, a Ph.d of worthy of study. 

Does Hillary Clinton understand WHY she LOST? - Trump Era

It seems that HRC has started to believe her own press statements, it was the fault of the FBI, the Russians, men not wanting a woman President, she even thinks the press are the blame.   The real reason that HRC LOST was she was as unpopular or even more so that President Trump, the US voter did not want either as candidates but HRC was seen as part of the Establishment.  The Clinton Campaign has to look at how they manged to turn a Crowning event in to a loss twice, once in 2008 and later in 2016.   The common factor was HRC, she is not a good candidate, she gave the impression that the Presidency was hers by right, as if defending Bill Clinton over the years was a VIP route to the Presidency.   IF HRC really thinks the above is true then she has no chance in 2020 if she wants to run, the Democrats have given her two chances, and she has blown them twice, the Party can not afford another bad candidate.

The US/UK left want President Obama to be a Saint, they should recall that he was a Chicago Pol who go lucky in 2008, the banking Industry went off a cliff, and that was the wise view of VP Biden, at least he was honest about the election victory, it was nothing more or less.  A former President like anyone elses has to buy his bills, and Obama has been wiser that President Carter, after leaving office in 1980 Carter stated that he would not serve on boards as former Presidents had done, thus Carter has written numerous books, some that have gotten him to trouble in Israel.   President Obama served his nation with honour and was a symbol for African - Americans as to what they could achieve.   After those years he should be allowed to earn what he wants, the left are looking for a Saint, no man is that, even President Obama never reached those heights.

President Obama did not create Daesh, as in founding the terror body, what he did do was take US troops out of Iraq in 2011 which allowed for the growth of Daesh in Syria and Iraq. Also Iran gained more influence.   Then as Daesh grew in Iraq it become a threat to the other States in the region, this called for the US to come back to Iraq, with the UK and others, it is bombing Daesh ever day and has Special Forces in both Countries.   The President has taken the blame for not thinking what would happen the day after Gaddafi was overthrown, that is ironic considering that Obama used that against Bush 41 over Iraq. The problem for Daesh will be on the table for the next President, as to Trump, his words could have traction, HRC was Secretary of State in the first Obama Administration, this election is far from over.

If this blog thought HRC would lose it would be supporting Senator Sanders against Donald Trump, that is not going to happen, although the Clintons could lose Iowa and New Hampshire they have  a firewall in the South, also one expects with the support of the Oval that African - Americans will come out big for HRC, also women is good for HRC.  The Clintons insiders  might think its 2008 again, its not, Senator Sanders is no President Obama.   Thus those that fund HRC should not worry, its the White House all the way with HRC.

The Clinton machine will spin this as old news, and since it looks like Donald Trump could be the Republican nominee this blog will take its lead from the Clinton spin machine.    Lets hope they do a better job in the future, their present operation is a joke.  The Clinton Press Secretary stated he did not know what a wiped server meant, it is that kind of thinking that could cost  Hillary Clinton the nomination.  The US voter is not thick and and should not be treated as such by the Clinton Camp.   The Clinton camp needs to re-group and come up with a better spin for the Clinton email scandal.  One can assume that the private server was hacked by the Russians, China and even North Korea, thus ALL materials on the Clinton server has to be looked at in that context.

The best way of Hillary Clinton to deal with the left is for her to tell them to drop dead if they think they will have any part of the Clinton Agenda.  HRC is the only candidate running with a real chance of winning.   If HRC allowed her campaign to be hijacked by the US left she will lose big time in 2016.   The left are under the impression that the UK and USA has gone left since the crash of 2008.  That is a mistake, the economy of the US is getting back into shape, a slow fight but its getting there, there is low unemployment and people are starting to feel confidence in the US economy.   The time for left rubbish was after the 08 crash, the US voted in Obama, first in 08 and then 12.   The Obama Administration is seen to have failed by most Americans, the US needs another Reagan not another Obama.   The left as nowhere to go, its either voting for Hillary or a wasted vote, the Clintons have the aces and they play to win.
