This will not go down well on the Arab Street, they still remember the Iraq War and the failure of the peace.  That is not the fault of Blair, more the Bush 43 Administration, and the removal and sacking of the previous Iraqi Administration and the attempt to start a new and Democratic structure, Trump has not done that with Venezuela.   The question, who will remove the weapons from Hamas, the terrorist group still runs Gaza.

The Ukraine President has a hard choice, either lose the US as an ally or surrender his Country to the Russians.  The President of the Ukraine should call Trump's bluff, SAY NO to his demands and wait out Trump, the President is forcing this move as he expects his Department of Justice to release the Epstein files, if they have damaging information on him, then Trump will be dead on the Hill, and the US House and Senate can override to give support to Kyiv,  it is  a matter of patience, Russia has accepted the deal, it would, they get all they ever wanted.  This is the time for Europe to show it can lead, SHAME TRUMP, there is one thing that the Americans can not stand is a weak President who has overplayed his hand.   Neither Trump or Tony Blair did international politics and international history in University, thus Trump can not see or does not want to see that this is another Munich 1938, he is Neville Chamberlain write large, even Chamberlain woke up in September 1939 and saw Hitler for who he was, Trump is a Russian pawn and is about humiliate the US and the West.

Lets Get Real:

At some point Israeli or a security force will have to go in to Gaza City to disarm Hamas and allow the Board of Peace, headed by President Trump and with the help of Tony Blair to run Gaza.  The delay has allowed Hamas to reform and run Gaza City.  Israel must be allowed to finish the job or the threat will never go away.

Sky News: Reports in its 2.12pm post thar US Allies in the region could take on Hamas if they do not behave and follow the Trump peace plan.

Lets Get Real:

You  can never trust terrorists, their word is no good.  One cannot see Hamas giving up power and their arms.  The power of Hamas in Gaza comes from their military capability, thus the public  executions and attack on Israeli soldiers, for the Trump peace plan to work the Hamas group will have to give up their arms and allowe Gaza to be run by peace board headed by Trump and Tony Blair.   The Trump peace plan is on life support, one more attack by Hamas could void the Trump peace plan in the Middle East.

Is this a real threat from Trump47, he wont send in Delta Force to take out Hamas, the US voter is tired of Middle East War, Afghanistan and Iraq, the Oval might give the Jerusalem Government the GREEN LIGHT to retake the whole of Gaza City.  The public executions by Hamas it not good PR for Trump47, he wants PEACE, well the appearance of peace, he does do the complicated part of a real deal, who will disarm Hamas, will the terrorist group give up power to a Western Peace Board with Trump as the Chairman and Tony Blair as his Deputy, the lawlessness of Gaza cannot be allowed to carry on.   In the end the Israeli IDF will have to go back in and solve the problem.

This has been a great day for President Trump, he has been lauded by the World.  Even Democrats have found praise for POTUS, for the peace deal if nothing else.   Sir Tony Blair still has the issue of the Iraq War hanging over him, the Arab Street recalls the War and the disaster that was the Peace.  The next few days will be interesting to watch.

By some Blair is considered a WAR CRIMINAL because of the Iraq War, not by this blog, Blair did the right thing in cooperation with Bush 43.   The Baghdad regime was a threat to the region, with or without WMD.  This choice would be an excellent choice, it would give the Gaza a World renowned Statesman to lead them for a temporary period.  Depends on who Trump47 wants and trusts.

Israel could be getting its troops ready  to invade Lebanon, one hopes they have learned the lessons of 2006, that invasion did not work out as planned, Tony Blair supported Israel, as he stated in his memoirs, it was the last nail in his political coffin when it came to the Labour Party! Israel has had good luck and great intelligence so far, it should be careful, Hezbollah might want a fight in Lebanon, they have had years to get ready.

It was a very moving, the Proclamation of King Charles 111, it was moving to see all the former Prime Ministers, they had the good fortune to have the late Queen as their advisor, a Monarch who had seen it ALL.  The new King knows all the leading politicians of the UK due to his role as Prince of Wales.  It will be interesting to see the King following the example of her late Majesty in giving advice to his new PM, but not allowing his public views to be known.  That was the MASTER ability of her late Majesty, we felt we knew her, she was the pillar of the UK constitution, but we never knew her political thoughts, that was between her and her Prime Minister. This blog has surprised at how moved it has been by the last few days, the Queen is no longer there, sometimes we do not take notice of stability, all through this blog's 53 years the Queen has always been there, when ever the state of the Country, one felt safe, as long as the Queen was there, the Country would come through, it's a big job for King Charles III to follow.

One doubts that PM Boris will go in a quite manner, he will fight to the very end, he has spent his life wanting this job and will not go down without a FIGHT.  Also the men in grey will be locked out of 10 Downing Street.  It was a shocking development that the Chancellor and Health Secretary went at the same time, it has been reported that it is not a plot by the two men, the now ex Chancellor was once seen as the heir to the PM, but the Chancellor has increased taxes to the highest in decades and his wife is very rich, that did not go down well with the voters.  Thus any leadership ambitions will have to wait, the resignation of the Health Secretary was a shock, let's recall that before Health Secretary, Sajid Javid had been Chancellor before he reigned over his communication team, it was the PM who bought him back, and this is the loyalty shown, it shows you that politicians should never been loyal to fellow politicians, they are fair weather friends, who will stab you in the back when it suits them.   The PM has to look in to the mirror, and not just think about himself but the Country as a whole, this mess has to end with his resignation as PM and then support someone who will follow his policies.

PM Boris in his last hours in 10 DOWNING STREET, it was never going to be a happy ending for Boris, in this case he was loyal to two of his MPs, a great PM must have the ability to be a good butcher as one of the PM's Conservative predecessors stated.  One day it will be interesting for the Boris to do an interview and to be asked did his previous mistakes make him more willing to support those members of his Party in trouble.  The Conservative MPs if they have a brain, will chose who they want to be the next leader, and tell the PM his time is up.  The 1922 Committee elections are soon, the anti Boris crowd should win a majority of the seats, they will change the rules and the PM will face another No Confidence Vote, this time he will lose, it would better for ALL concerned even Boris for him to go and support a candidate who is a Brexit supporter and can unite most of the Party.  Those Conservative MPs who want to run in the following leadership contest after Boris is gone, must come under pressure to support a single candidate, the UK is in trouble, thus this is 1940 moment for Conservative MPs, they need to back the one candidate.  There is a general election in 2024, the Party must regroup.   As long as the Party does not chose a remainer it should win in 2024.   Poor Boris, it was tough period in office since the 2019 election, he just run out of luck, it happens to all politicians, Thatcher in 1990 and Blair in 2007.

As the PM said in the House of Commons the Labour Party is planning to take the UK back in to the EU after the 2024 election if they win.  The HARD REMAINERS, and this includes former PM Tony Blair want to see the UK back in the EU and supporting removing the pound and trading in Euros. The UK at the moment is going through a fraught period, with Brexit and COVID - 19, once the vaccines are out in the public the crisis atmosphere will go down and Sir Keir Starmer will be seen as Captain Lockdown, always calling for Lockdowns, the UK can only take so much closing down the economy.  The polls should show LABOUR ahead, if they didn't there would be something wrong with either the polls or the people. The next election is in 2024, polls come and go, and Boris is a good politician.

The REAL problem for Labour under New Labour and Tony Blair was the fact that it started to lose its base voters.    The disaster in Scotland and the NO vote in the EU vote shows that Labour took for granted million of voters.  Then when you had the near banking collapse of 2008 people started to feel that the Government was no longer in control of either the economy or Immigration.   At least the LABOUR PARTY under Jeremy Corbyn has gone back to its roots, on the extreme left and of course it can not win elections, thus great if you are a Conservative, no to so if your small (d) Democrat.

The Iraq Report is expected to be harsh on Tony Blair and his path to War in Iraq, one can expect the left wing will demand that Blair should face some kind of legal punishment for his actions, the leading left winger will be the leader of the Labour Party, Jeremy Corbyn.   It is expected that Corby will say SORRY for Labour over Iraq, while Blair is expected to come out fighting.   The end result is simple, the Labour Party under Corbyn will be no friend to Blair, while Tony Blair will do a Nixon and try to rebuild his reputation within the UK.   No one will be happy, that is just the result.

The above is the latest thinking on Tony Blair and the Iraq War and it is wrong.  The Labour Party if it wants to win the next general election has to learn to LOVE Blair again, he won three elections, had many domestic reforms that have not been overturned, such as the Scottish Parliament and the Welsh Assembly, among many others, the Party has to return to the Centre of of UK politics, the election of Jeremy Corbyn has shown that the Labour Party does not get the one simple fact, a election is won in the centre not in the extremes.  This blog supported the Iraq War and still does, it is the successors to Blair and Bush 43 who were weak and thus allowed for the raise of Daesh, an going fight that is not the fault of Blair.

The Labour Party has elected a far left wing fool to lead them, there are only so many BAD leaders you can take from a political party, the Corby Agenda on the domestic front is no austerity, well we are in the mess we are due to Labour over spending, on national security he will not press the button if the red balloon goes up.   Thus time for the Labour Party to grow up and go back to the centre right polices of Tony Blair.   The Labour Party will only win again when it learns to love Tony Blair, there mus successful leader.  GROW UP LABOUR AND DUMP CORBYN.

IF true this would be quite damaging to the reputation of the former PM.   The question did it happen, one has doubts, Government records are not on the whole destroyed, they just go missing and can not be found or are marked Top Secret never to be seen again or after fifty years.  As the Iraq Inquiry's report comes close to publication expect more of these stories, those there at the time will want to cover their positions.   This blog still supports the invasion of Iraq in 2003, but is fast becoming a minority of two, me and the former Prime Minister.

The Iraq Inquiry has gone on longer that the War itself, it would almost be funny if it were not for the tragic deaths of UK personnel in Iraq, and of course the local deaths that carry on today with the coming of Daesh.   One has to ask what in the hell the Inquiry has to been up too!!  It has cost millions of pounds, and still another couple of months to go, the House of Commons should start a select committee to go through the costs of the Inquiry, time for the Iraq Inquiry to finish, people have the right to know the TRUTH ABOUT IRAQ.

The left wing press elite will never forgive Tony Blair for the Iraq War, what really makes them mad  is the fact that Tony Blair was supposed to be a New Labour kind of politician, it always the Conservatives that are seen ready to bomb tomorrow, not a centre left wing party.   One does wonder what Bush 43 is making of this sorry trip, so far the former President has been  very quiet, he has his own problems with Donald Trump stating that IF he had been President, then 9/11 might not have happened.  Leaders should never say sorry for mistakes, just makes those critics ever more smug.

The old New Labour spin team is getting out ahead of the Iraq Report that is expected to be highly critical of Tony Blair and his War in Iraq.   It can be argued from the left that the invasion of Iraq in 2003 has lead to the creation of Daesh, the removal of the  Saddam Hussein Regime  lead to the dissolution of the Iraqi Army, the US leaving in 2011 under President Obama is also a factor in the creation of Daesh.   This blog did and will carry on with its support for the Iraq War, the US might be sending troops back in the near future to take on Daesh in Iraq and Syria.
