The US has to pull its finger out and end this WAR, this Trump's Woodrow Wilson moment, Wilson who had kept the US our of WW1 in till 1917, had enough by 1917, also the German threat from Mexico pushed Wilson to act.  Thus Trump must use secondary taxes on Countries buying Russian oil, he must close down the Russian economy, he has to be brave and take the fight to Moscow.  END this endless WAR.

Normally long term leaders, like Thatcher get thrown out by her Cabinet, this blog was shocked to hear that Nicola Sturgeon had resigned, of late all we have heard from Scotland is Nicola Sturgeon and the debate about trans rights.  The sole purpose of the SNP is break up the UK.  The recent polls have shown that the direction is going the other way, due to the political decisions made by Sturgeon and the Scottish Parliament when it comes to the TRANS issues, the support for the break up of the Union has faded, the UK Supreme Court stated that the Scottish Parliament can only have a referendum on a Independent Scotland if it is granted by the UK Parliament, and that is not going to happen at present.  Thus we must take the First Minister by her words, that it was the right time to go, people will be discussing this for years, it will be like when Harold Wilson resigned out of the blue in 1976, of late new information has come out, it seems that the late Queen saw that Wilson had declined and tried to suggest time for him go, in this she was supported by Wilson's wife back home.  One does think 8 years is enough for any leader, Blair made the mistake of staying on for 10 years, before being pushed out by Gordon Brown and his supporters.  One must respect Sturgeon, she did a tough job, not my cup of tea, and held to her view, before making her mind up, that enough was enough.

As the military sides go into trench warfare the battle will be done by drones and airplanes, thus one can expect more attacks on Russia from the air and by special forces.  The Russians it seems have endless cruise missiles, and thus their constant attacks on the Ukraine and its power infrastructure, and the aim to force the people of the Ukraine to press their government for a ceasefire, this is the last thing that the Kyiv Government should be thinking about.  The trench battles will go through the winter, one doubt that much ground will be taken, if WW1 is any example.  That only changed in 1917 when the US entered the WAR and their troops arrived in France.  The WAR in the Ukraine will only stop when the Russians lose the war and are seen to lose the war.  That is the only protection for the Baltic States and Poland.  Ukraine must not buckle and that goes for the West too.

President Biden if he goes with this DEAL, will be showing the same arrogance as Neville Chamberlain did in 1938 at Munich, history has shown that Joe Biden knows nothing about international politics or history, this was shown by the US Departure from Afghanistan, Biden is desperate to bee seen as a Master of World Affairs, a bit like Woodrow Wilson and Richard Nixon, those Presidents were flawed, but they were right when it came to ending World War 1 and the War in Vietnam, Biden was opposed to US troops being in Afghanistan during the Obama Presidency when he was VP, at least Obama overruled him then, last year there was no one to overrule Biden, he is the President.  Thus we come to the Obama - Iran deal, if the Biden Oval goes for this DEAL, he will be seen as a Appeaser, in the same mould of Chamberlain.  The US allies in the Middle East will get the message, that the US is WEAK and they must act together to prevent Iran getting the bomb, no matter what the Biden Oval wants.  Thus will WORLD SECURITY come down to Israel and its new Allies, that is the future Debate.  Iran cannot allowed to have the bomb, it has shown that it is either close to the bomb or has the bomb, the only person not getting that message is POTUS.

The US it can be argued has returned to its isolation roots that can be found in its history, after World War 1 the US voter did not want the US linked to problems of other Countries, the Republicans played on this to defeat the US being part of the League of Nations, it took World War Two and Nazi Germany declaring War on the US to get the US to take the lead of the West.   The US has been in Afghanistan for nearly two decades, there has US troops in Iraq and Syria and the 5th fleet is stationed in Bahrain.  In 2016 candidate Trump promised that he would not be like Bush 43 and get the US in to endless Wars, that is why he is gun shy when it comes to Iran.  POTUS does not get the fact that Reagan lost over 240+ Marines in Lebanon in one day in the early 1980s and the following day invaded Grenada, Leaders LEAD, Reagan was a great President, he took risks that were in the interest of the US, on the whole they worked, if POTUS wants to be another Reagan he better find a backbone, or he is going to make the Dems look like hawks in 2020. The US voter really HATES a weak leader, look what happened to Jimmy Carter in 1980.

This blog is a firm supporter President Reagan, as one of the greatest Presidents in US history, he was no perfect, he made mistakes, he was human.  Let's recall that the first President of the US, George Washington had slaves, that Woodrow Wilson had big ideas for the World but was a racist when it came to African - Americans working for the Federal Government.  Then we have JFK's numerous affairs and his intern.  The above recording was made when the UN recognition China over Taiwan and gave them their Seat at the UN.  Then Governor Reagan was angry, sometimes when we are angry we make mistakes, this is an example from the above.   Also he did not know that Nixon was recording his calls and office meetings.  One can assume the LEFT will run with story, they are so PC, will they be that when the Martin Luther King Jr tapes are released, we shall see.

The Trump Oval likes to use the bully pulpit when it comes to the Squad, he is most racist President since Woodrow Wilson and Richard Nixon, at least these two Presidents had success when it came to foreign policy, ending of WW1 for Wilson and the opening of China for Nixon.   What has President Trump gain on the world stage, bending over backwards to kiss the backside of Russia and North Korea and taking the US out of the Obama deal with Iran.   Let's call a spade a spade, Trump is the modern Neville Chamberlain when it comes to Russia and North Korea, the next POTUS will have to build up the Western alliance and make sure the Russia and North Korea know the score, that the United States will no be a pushover any more.  Of course the Democrats have to WIN the 2020 race, the fight so far is between Biden, Harris, Sanders and Warren.   There are two debats next week, the first one will have Warren vs. Sanders, one of these two candidates has to knock the other out, then they will get their voters, at present the split the vote and that helps Biden.  The following debate the next day will have Biden at the centre of the debate stage, and will have Booker to his right and Harris to his left.  The Biden Camp will expect in coming from these two candidates, the former VP has to show that he is up the job, otherwise he will find it hard to get to Iowa in 2020.   As a former Democratic Speaker of the House used to say, all politics is local.

After the depressing Thursday it was nice to have Doctor Who back on form, the Doctor on Mars trying to stop a War between 1881 UK Armed Forces and the Ice Warriors, to be fair to the Doctor he was in awkward place, the British had invaded Mars, the local residents were not happy to say the least.  The Doctor spent most of the episode trying to make sure that neither side killed each other, of course both sides tried to do so.  What was excellent was the guest stars, they were given back stories, made you care about them, the Colonel turned out to be a hero of a kind, even if he did shoot his 2nd in Command, the Doctor did not seem that bothered on that subject.  It was nice see at the start and finish the lines, God Save the Queen, the Queen must think this 1974 again, when she faced having to have two elections!!!

The STORMY PRESENT - The Future of PM May - GE2017

PM May will have to make sure that the has the DUP on side for her most important votes, also the Chief Whip should make it clear to Conservatives MPs if they play about they could end up with Jeremy Corbyn in power.  The next few weeks and months will be stormy, some House of Commons votes will be close, but and here is the but, the Conservatives if they have any brains will make sure that they are on the winning side.  PM May has to develop a close working relationship with the DUP, try to keep close to their views when it comes to Brexit and make sure that her Cabinet is loyal, that might be difficult with the exception of the Fixed Term Parliament Act, this means that if the Government fell the Labour Party would get the chance to form a government.   The thought of that should keep Conservative MPs loyal for the present.  Of course we could be back to 1974, when there were two general elections, the UK voter is tired of elections, one can only hope that the Conservative Party does not mess this up as they did the general election.

The hidden health of Presidents is a very interesting book itself, there is President Wilson having strokes and his 2nd wife having to run the Country during War time and then there is President Kennedy with his addison disease and the secrecy from the US voter about the matter.   It can be argued that the US voter on the whole do not vote for for ill people, the President is the head of the Armed Forces and is head of state, a ill President it can be argued has negatives all ready going in to the Oval, the pressure of the job makes Presidents go old, Jackie Kennedy said if Dallas had not happened  that JFK would have been a a wheelchair after his 2nd term.  Reagan looked after eight years in the job, so did Clinton, they enjoyed being President.    President Obama has gone old in the Office, it takes its toll.

Obama on Donald Trump - Election 2016

Listening to the speech by POTUS it showed that he really feels the above, the problem was the US voter wants a caring President in a time of crisis, not a lecture, also after seven years of the Obama waffle it no longer works, the President is his own worst enemy, his ego is never challenged by the press, the Congress has been slow in blocking Obama's executive orders and the US voter is afraid, they want a Reagan not a Woodrow Wilson. 

Vienna talks - UN and Iran - 2nd Term Blues

This is Tehran playing the West, they give and the West gives them more time, by the time there is an agreement Iran will have the bomb and the rest of the region will have gone nuclear as they do not trust the US/UN to get the right deal and in time.  If your neighbour of Iran you are already using your oil money to make insurance against Iran, in other words you are looking at the nuclear black market to get the bomb as fast as possible before Iran can go nuclear and blackmail the region.   The Oval Office is so keen for a deal that it can not see that Tehran is playing it, that is the problem when you have stubborn President,  in many respects Obama is a modern President Wilson.   They are both elitist and stubborn and see the World they want to see.

Folks over a year ago the Oval stated that Iran would have the bomb within a year, all that has happened is that Iran and its elite have chosen a better seller of its image, it has not stopped its nuclear aims, any delay has been due the  covert actions by the CIA and Mossad, the Tehran Regime fears its people, the sanctions by the UN are hurting,  the Oval in its first term could have supported the reformers as they were being shot in Tehran, but the Oval did NOTHING.   As with Syria, the Oval wants to appease, the Oval has lost its bottle, if it ever had a bottle to lose.   The Government in Israel soon will have a choice, does it allow Iran to go nuclear or does it take action, it can not trust the US,  the US is going down a isolation road, this is not new for the US, it has form folks, after the US Senate rejected the League of Nations of President Wilson it went through two decades of isolation, only the attack on Pearl Harbour in 1941 bought the US out of this policy.   The US has become a welfare State folks, it has a 17 trillion debt, China is the banker for the US,  the UK after World War 2 gave up its Empire and its leadership of the West to the US, the problem now is that there is no successor to the US, history is harsh on Countries and politicians who fail to see the end result of failed policies, thus folks, what will history say of the US in the early 21 Century, a giant who slept but then woke, or a giant who never woke up to be that Shining City on a Hill. 

Obama and Syria - Latest Daily Poll

Thus folks the Oval has gotten away with its policy of Appeasement, Obama is only 4% down from his August 21st poll, thus Obama has gone along with the will of the US voter, the American people are entering a Isolation/Appeasement mode, this is not new, after World War 1 the US went in to Isolation mode after the US Senate rejected becoming part of the League of Nations that had been the plan of President Wilson, it took the attack on Pearl Harbour by Imperial Japan to get the US back on the World Stage and the move by Hitler to declare War on US after the attack.     Thus the next appeasement step for the Oval is Iran, the Oval has confirmed that it has exchanged letters with the new President of Iran, the problem is folks that the President in Iran does not control the nuclear aims of the Iran, that is down to the religious leaders, they have made it plain that they are not gong to give up their nuclear plans.   The problem with the Oval is that it confuses words with facts, the Syrian DEAL is a WIN for Russia, Syria and Iran, Assad would be a fool to give up his WMD, Civil Wars can turn, it has been stated in reports that Assad has told his inner allies that he would use WMD as a weapon of last defence, the mistake that West is making is thinking that Syria needs Russia more than Russia needs Assad, big mistake, the Russians need to keep their only warm water Port, thus they will play games with the West, they know that Obama will not attack, the Russian bear can smell weakness and fear, they are playing Obama, you have to say in pure political terms, its a winner, never think the the Russian KGB Bear is a fool folks, its a lot of things but it is not naive or foolish. 

Obama Administration SPLIT over Syria - 2nd Term Blues

Well folks if this blog is reading this article you can be sure that the Assad Regime will be reading it with joy, Obama as stated in previous posts is following a ritual, he says something must be done, needs more information, talks about UN ACTION, then NOTHING.   The OCD President, the split in the Obama Administration recalls when President Kennedy came back in August 1963 and found his Administration was falling apart over Vietnam; in that case it was to late, at Deputy level the Kennedy Administration had given the okay for the Generals in South Vietnam to get rid of the Government; lets hope the Oval has better control of the diplomatic cables.   Thus folks after a few days since the use of WMD, what has the West done, NOTHING, it will do NOTHING, that is what you get when you elect a Harvard lawyer as President, does recall President Wilson, he was slow in to WW1 and messed up the ending.   Those that will suffer in the days,weeks, months ahead will be the poor people of Syria.

This is good news for the Coalition Government folks, lets hope this is a trend, this would really blow Labour out of the water if UK unemployment was falling while the of Europe has seen massive increases, the Labour Party has been very quiet about this, the story does not fit their spin, just spend more. They should have learned from a former Labour PM Harold Wilson, the former PM stated that a week is a long time in politics, if this blog was Ed Miliband he would not think yet he had a lock on No 10, its a long road to 2015 folks.

UK Coalition Government and DEBT

Telegraph: Reports that the Coalition Government could fail to eliminate the structural deficit as planned for by the end of the Parliament in 2015. Thus folks the Coalition has a massive political problem, the Unions are on the street at the end of the month over the present cuts, what if the Coalition has to bring in even harsher cuts as faced by Ireland, Greece and Italy, what if the basic structure of the UK welfare state has to be reformed, what if you as in Ireland have to pay form some health aspects, what if you are means tested for the use of the NHS. The Coalition might have to look at actually not giving benefits to people under 25, that is out there idea folks, there would be exceptions of course, but that kind of radical thinking is needed, the UK could face ten years of low to no growth and austerity, come back Harold Wilson. At some point the Conservative Party might decide that it needs a political scapegoat, no matter the Lib Dems, thus the EU, have a Referendum at the same time as the General Election about getting out of the EU. It would kick the Lib Dems out of the system, the Labour Party would be split, and Conservative Party might just win a election with an overall majority. At the end of the day Conservative Party is about winning folks.

Level Pegging = Conservatives and Labour

Thus folks “ Red ” Ed Miliband shows why he will not be the next Prime Minister, he does not have the charisma of Tony Blair or the political cunning of Harold Wilson. If my memory is right Tony Blair in the same period was miles ahead of Sir John Major and the Conservative Government, one would think with the massive cuts to the public sector that Labour should be at least 5-10 points ahead of the Conservative Party, but as the recent vote in Scotland and in Southern England has shown Labour has a long way to go before it returns to Government. “ Red ” Ed needs Scotland to stay in the UK, otherwise Labour would lose any chance of forming the next Government, thus my prediction that Ed Miliband will be shown the door by Labour before the 2015 election, the Labour Party cant afford to have another Gordon Brown at the helm, it has to be ruthless like the Tory Party, it dispatched Lady Thatcher as to win in 1992, the Labour Party failed to get rid of Brown, will it make the same mistake with Miliband Junior.

HISTORY not COOL - Cameron

BBC News: Reports that Coalition PM David Cameron has been critical of the tourism policy of the last Labour Government. The Last Labour Government stressed the modern not the history of the UK. Rather than stressing the long history of the UK and its historical sites the Labour Party wanted to start history with year 1 with its election, it wanted to return the UK to the heights of the 1960s when the UK, well London was the cool place to live and work, that policy by Labour was shallow and void of content, once Blair invaded Iraq the " Cool Crowd " did a runner from Labour, our history has more substance. Again Mr Cameron is right and Labour is stuck in its own void or backside!
