The VP it is reported against the War with Iran, if Trump wants to TACO ( see previous post )it would be good to send Vance to Pakistan for talks with Iran.  If the US has to appease Iran, better for the VP to do it, he said YES to be Trump's VP, thus must have known how erratic Trump is on the World Stage. VP's are there to be the image of the Administration if things go wrong, there is always the chance they could get the Oval via death, Resignation or impeachment of POTUS.  Vance needs Trump's support in 2028, for his run for the Presidency, thus he has cover for Trump over Iran, those are dues to being VP.

Trump threats on Countries that do not support the US taking over Greenland - Update

Lets Get Real:

This is a daft idea, even by Trump's standards, NATO would fall apart if he annexed Greenland, as he would have to place Tariffs on the whole of Europe.  Trump is a wimp, as shown by Iran policy.  Even Trump would not destroy NATO, if he did,  the US Congress would impeach him, and the Senate could force him out! Does he want to be another Nixon, one has doubts!  The Oval is turning in to blowhard of ideas that are not meet by reality.

Big Win for Trump at the Supreme Court - 2024 Candidates/2024 General Election - Biden Era

This is a big win for Trump, the various Federal Cases will be affected, we wait to see what the Courts and Prosecutors so with the case, the general opinion is that the Court cases will start after the election, of course Trump as President could pull them if elected.   This Judgement by the Supreme Court does ask a few Questions of Presidential history, lets look at the examples, was JFK and the CIA'S attempt to kill Castro in the early 1960s was that official or Kennedy's need for revenge after the Bay of Pigs.  Then we move to 1968, was Nixon's sabotage of the Paris Peace Talks, semi official as he become President or private action that should have seen him Court.   Let's forget that LBJ bugged Nixon with the help of the FBI,  was the legal, its an open question, then we go to Nixon again in 1972 with Watergate, it can be presume that Nixon after the LBJ files on the Paris Peace Talks.  Thus would Nixon have had to resign in 1974.  The next case in Iran - Contra of the late1980s, it was Reagan's believe that the Contra freedom fighters had to be supported, after the Congress cut off official aid, he wanted the Contra fighters funded, no matter what it took, thus a diversion of funds to the Contra's.   As with JFK, there is doubt if Reagan knew this was happening, even if he did, it would not matter as it was official policy by Reagan to fight communism. In 1998 we have Bill Clinton, this was a private affair and thus the President would not have been immune from the Courts.   It seems the Court would have agreed with Nixon.   Interesting Court days ahead!!

The Biden Oval is in trouble, in a head to head match with Trump, the former President is 1% ahead.  The President should have a serious sit down with himself, and ask does he have it in him to serve another four years, and that is a year and half out before the election.  If POTUS mumbles or goes off script in speech or remarks, then Trump could win by accident, that would be a disaster for the US and Western security.  The Russians could win by default in the Ukraine and NATO would come under threat.  Thus it is about time Biden threw in the towel, a younger Democrat is needed, one safe on national security, Biden should think about his legacy, on the way out he should pardon Hunter and Trump, gain the respect of the American people.  President Ford who gave a pardon to Nixon gained the respect of the American people after 1974.

The Donald has made it CLEAR that he is not turning up for the first debate with other candidates are expected to attend this week, the wiser political minds have stated that they would not sent a candidate to such a debate, he would have a political target on him, the other candidates will attack the 2nd in the pack, Ron DeSantis as their target, the Governor of Florida has tied to move to the right of Trump, it has not worked, he has given the impression that he would abandon the Ukraine, he has to walk that back.  This week is about the Donald attending Court to hear the 4th charge against him in the State of Georgia.  CNN will cover every second of that process, there will be cameras in the Court.  That might make a difference, one doubts, it will look petty to treat a former President in such a way, and Trump will love the mug shot, if the Democrats force him to have one, as Nixon said 1974, hatred of your enemy destroys you first, as Nixon should know after Watergate.  One does hope that Trump attends  the 2nd Debate at the Reagan Presidential Library, it would be seen as a snub to the Gipper if he fails to attend.

The last two days has been ALL ABOUT TRUMP, even POTUS does not get this coverage when he does stuff that the uber liberal media agree with what he is doing, CNN coverage showed their hatred of Trump, they want to destroy Trump, what was a surprise was that their legal reporter was not impressed with the 34 charges against Trump, there was nothing new, the star witness is his disgraced lawyer.   The NY DA wants to connect his charges to Federal charges, the problem is that the Feds refused to bring a prosecution against Trump.   The weakness of the case was shown when the DA had a press conference, his eyes showed that he did not have case, its BS.  The next hearing is in December, just before election year starts.   If the NY case fails it could damage the more serious cases against Trump, also the NY DA could have handed the Oval Office to Trump in 2025.   The liberal elite have forgotten the wise words of Richard Nixon in 1974 on the day he resigned, if you hate your enemies you destroy yourself first.

Are the Democrats trying to elect Donald Trump again to the Oval Office, the Prosecutor is a Democrat for goodness sake, the Democrats are really DUMB, this is what Trump wants, this is the first time a former US President will have been arrested, even Richard Nixon did not face that after his resignation in 1974 after the Watergate scandal.   The former President was pardoned by President Gerald Ford, then Oval Office President saw how much damage such a prosecution would bring to the Country.  It can be postulated that Ford lost a close election to Jimmy Carter in 1976 due to his decision, but looking back most historians agree it bought the Country together after Watergate, and thus the right decision, if Biden had an active brain  he would warn the US Prosecutor to back off, this will not be the case that makes his political bones or place pressure on the new New York Governor to pardon Trump before his arrest, Trump faces other more important charges, he has already put the martyr suit on, it would be the luck of the US if Trump while under charges gets himself re-elected President in 2024, a President is immune form prosecution while President, as President Trump could pardon himself, he has no shame.

It was fun seeing CNN trying to justify President Biden having TOP SECRET documents in his possession from his years as VP to President  Obama.  This will be used by Republicans to hammer the Biden Oval and Biden Department of Justice, there are a lot of questions for the President Biden to answer, who moved the documents from their secure area, who had access, why did it take 6 years and how come the national archive did not ask for them, were they playing favourites.  One can postulate that most modern Presidents take secret documents with them, let's recall at the centre of the LBJ Library there is glass box, with a letter marked X on it and when it should be opened.  The information inside was how the FBI tracked the Nixon efforts to persuade the South Vietnam Government in 1968 not to go to the Paris Peace talks, that they would have a better deal under President Nixon than with LBJ.  The reverse happened in the fullest of time.  President Johnson knew he had the goods on Richard Nixon but did not want to cause a political crisis after Nixon had won Presidency, he made sure that Nixon knew he knew, and thus Nixon played ball with any requests from LBJ.  It can be postulated that the Watergate scandal has its origins in this matter. One can assume the Republicans will jump on this, the small print won't matter, either Trump and Biden are prosecuted or they are not, it cannot be one rule for the Democrats and another rule for the Republicans.

This is the worse thing the Democrats could have done, the new House Republicans majority will be looking for ways to rubbish the Committee, it had only had Republicans who hate Trump anyway, and its reports will be seen as Partisan by many US voters.  The Democratic House Committee it can be argued has done a good job of showing what President Trump did after the 2020 Election and on January 6th, by adding charges the outgoing Democratic House has lost the plot.  The House Committee is not the US Senate Committee of Senator Ervin that looked into WATERGATE that had Republicans, who's Republicans LOST after a through investigation.  The Biden Democratic Department of Justice, does not need referrals from the US House, in fact it causes problems, if the DOJ does bring charges it will be open to charges that it was forced on it by the Democrats and the Court cases could take years, and God forbid Trump could be President again.  The Democrats have shot themselves in the foot, a bad day for DEMOCRACY, at the end of it all POTUS might have to PARDON Trump as President Ford did for Nixon, that is the way of political reality, in less he wants Court Cases going on through 2024.  

POTUS on being Impeached - Election 2020

Throughout the House Democrats’ entire sham impeachment, the President was denied fundamental fairness and due process under the law.  The House blatantly ignored precedent and conducted the inquiry in secrecy behind closed doors so that Chairman Adam Schiff and his partisan political cronies could selectively leak information to their partners in the media to push a false narrative.

When public hearings were held before Chairman Schiff’s committee, Democrats continued their games and denied the President the ability to cross-examine witnesses or present witnesses or evidence.  The proceedings in the Judiciary Committee included no fact witnesses at all and consisted solely of a biased law seminar and a staffer rehashing the slanted report that was produced by Chairman Schiff’s rigged proceeding.  This unconstitutional travesty resulted in two baseless articles of impeachment that lack any support in evidence and fail even to describe any impeachable offense.

All of these antics make clear that Democrats have lost sight of what this country needs, which is a Congress that works for the people.  Their boundless animus for President Trump fuels their desire to nullify the 2016 election results, and improperly influence the 2020 election.

The American people are not fooled by this disgraceful behavior.  They understand fairness, due process, and substantial, reliable evidence are required before any American should be charged with wrongdoing—and certainly before impeaching a duly elected President.

The President is confident the Senate will restore regular order, fairness, and due process, all of which were ignored in the House proceedings.  He is prepared for the next steps and confident that he will be fully exonerated.  President Trump will continue to work tirelessly to address the needs and priorities of the American people, as he has since the day he took office. "

One gets the impression that POTUS will take his revenge on the Democrats for this foolish overreaction by them when it comes to the Ukraine, he might VETO every Bill they want, make them understand as President he make their lives difficult.  Who can blame him, at least Nixon and Clinton deserved to be impeached, the Democrats have been looking to take revenge on Trump for beating HRC in 2016, it will be OPEN WARFARE now in Washington, Trump likes to COUNTER PUNCH, there are a lot more rounds to go before this story ends.

By the time impeachment process is finished one can postulate that Trump will use the impeachment as positive, while Democrats will be running away from the process. This is what happens when a political party allows the extremes to take charge, Speaker Pelosi could not say NO this group in fear that she would lose their support to remain Speaker, thus the impeachment is a short term answer to a bigger problem, the Democrats hate POTUS, what will they do next when he does something really wrong, they can hardly impeach him a 2nd time, the Republican Base will not support POTUS even more, a silly process with a silly end result.

Always read the documents when it comes to a case of impeachment.  The 24/7 news networks always hype what they want the viewers to know, that goes from CNN to Fox News. Always make up your own mind, an impeachment process should take a year and have endless Committee meetings, the Democrats want it over in 8 weeks, whenever someone tries to push for this something this fast, you always have to ask why?  Are they afraid that the charge will not hold up, also the Democrats do not want the process to overtake the Democratic race for the nomination.  Even with Iran Contra, the Gipper was lucky, it came at the end of November, after the 1986 Mid Terms, and the hearings did not last that long, the special prosecutor at the end did not achieve much and Bush 41 pardoned the main actors in the fair, the Gipper could transfer the problem to his successor, and not have deal with any pardon issues, kept his hands clean, a great politician. 

*After reading the whistleblower complaint I am not impressed, a lot of 2nd hand knowledge, and lot open press reports, if this is ALL the Democrats have got, they are in trouble.  The Congressional hearings better have something more, or the Democrats are going to look like fools and this blog does not even like POTUS.

In 1974 Richard Nixon only agreed to resign when the Republicans in the US Senate told him it was over, if this had not happened the history could have been different.   Also the polls for Nixon were bad, it was the reverse for Bill Clinton, the US voter did not think that Clinton deserved to be impeached because of an affair and he was found not guilty by a Republican US Senate.   As long as Trump can keep the defections to a few Senators up for re-election in 2020 he will be all right.  Of course if House hearings next week can push the story along, then there might be a difference, does the White House hold other compromising transcripts of Trump with other State leaders.   This blog would be interested to read the transcript of the talks between Trump and Putin, one would assume that the Trump White House will fight tooth and nail to keep them quiet.  It is going to be dramatic week next week.

It is Easter, only political nerds like this blog will read most of the Mueller Report, most normal people will take their news from their trusted source as stated before.   This blog is no great fan of Trump, in fact this blog supported HRC in 2016, spinning for the Clintons was ironic to say the least.  This blog wants POTUS to be treated as you would treat other President, otherwise you have MOB RULE, depending on who is in power.  The Vice President has already called for an investigation of the investigators, to see if the Mueller investigation was lawful.   The Democrats in the House will be pushed by their very liberal base to impeach Trump, and then the Republican Senate will find him not guilty.  In 2020 the Democrats could LOSE the House and the Democratic nominee will have to defend the actions of the House, thus creating more points for the Trump to hit the Dem nominee.  Where are the grown ups?, when in 1968 during the Presidential election LBJ found that Nixon was sabotaging his peace talks with North Vietnam he did not make it public, he could see a crisis developing from the release of this information.   The Republicans and the Democrats have become petty and are owned by the base, we need another Reagan in the Oval Office, a President that could unite the US.

The Trump White House better get ready for more demands from the Democrats House Committees, the Trump Oval should remind them that Watergate took 2 years before Nixon resigned, and the Monica Lewinsky scandal took a year.   It can be expected that the President will invoke Executive Privilege on matters that he thinks he can get away with, the US Courts will be VERY BUSY, of course all the cases will end up at the Supreme Court, this is not 1974, the majority of the Judges are Conservatives, very much like 1998, when the Court allowed the civil case against President Clinton to go on.   The question is will they allow the fishing attempt by the Democrats or will they say that the reason that POTUS is the most powerful man in the World is because he is POWERFUL, the Congress is his equal in domestic terms but not his boss, also the US Senate controlled by Republicans WILL NEVER IMPEACH Trump, they are to afraid of their own voters for that.   If the Democrats were clever they would get the information out before 2020 and allow the US voter to decide otherwise it will look like a hoax and a WITCH HUNT, the Democrats are going after everything, the voter will be asking what about the DOMESTIC AGENDA.  Liberals are really foolish.

This is article shows the extreme LEFT WING are re-writing history when it comes to Sir Winston Churchill, the greatest Leader of Great Britain did not cause the death of a miner in 1910, the action was taken by the Police who faced a violent crowd.  The extreme left always wants to smear our great leaders and our Empire, their moral compass has been off since Lenin and Stalin, they covered up for Stalin and only supported the War effort when Adolf Hitler invaded the USSR.   The extreme left or communists have never gotten over the fall of the USSR, an Evil Empire they supported, the left speak and write fiction, Stalin used to remove his former colleagues from pictures when they had been removed from power.  Let's be honest the case of 1910 sounds like there was a need for the RIOT ACT to be read, miners then and in the 1980s seemed to think that they were above the LAW, it took Churchill and Thatcher to remove that fiction.   There should be a states of Churchill and Thatcher in every South Wales town, just to remind them of reality, and to stop living in their fake history.   The disgraceful actions of some South Wales people when Lady Thatcher died showed that the ending of the Mines in the South Wales was the best thing that happened for the UK, at the end of the day, they were just workers who worked underground, after they bought down PM Heath in 1974 they had to be removed, they were a threat to DEMOCRACY.

There are always critical books on Presidents during their terms, even the great Reagan had a few at the end of his term, the trick is to show success on the domestic and international front.  The US economy under Trump is blazing away, on the international front the US is talking to North Korea, even through it can be argued that North Korea has conned the Trump Oval, as it has done with past Presidents.   On Iran the US has increased sanctions, we shall see what develops from this move, on trade the Trump Oval has done a deal with Mexico, Canada is still in discussions.  It would be foolish to write off Trump yet, politics is an art not a science.
