Balls Shadow Chancellor ?

Guardian: Has a positive piece on Ed Balls and his prospects of being Shadow Chancellor the Exchequer. The Coalition Government would love Balls, he has been to close to Gordon Brown over the years, he would bring a lot of negative baggage, he is a symbol of the toxic Blair/Brown War. Lets be honest here folks, Balls has been very effective as Shadow Education Secretary in attacking the new Education policy of the Coalition but the economy is something else, he often quotes that he was right on the Euro, well what has he been right on since, the IMF, the Bank of England supports the spending cuts of the Coalition, Balls only works if they are wrong, while running for the Labour Leadership Balls has stated that there should be in essence no cuts, therefore if the economy turns around due to the Coalition Government policies the Labour Party is a dodo. The choice of Shadow Chancellor could decide the next election for Labour, does Labour want the ghost of Gordon Brown at the table.

Miliband is OUT - Balls

Telegraph: Reports on apparent conformation from the Shadow Education Secretary and Leadership Candidate Ed Balls that David Miliband is out of the Shadow Cabinet. This blog is not Labour supporting and has not time for Ed Miliband but advice Ed Junior if you want to remain Labour Leader and have some power, any power in fact don’t make Ed Balls your Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer, you might as well have Gordon Brown running the show ( Balls was the eyes and ears and law enforcer for GB ), its that simple, Ed Balls is a ruthless soso, and that is being charitable, it is reported that Gordon Brown in less that happy with Ed Miliband, one thing about New Labour founders they are not David Miliband, push them to far and they will knife Ed Miliband in the back with out a moments thought, thus Ed Junior pick a new face and keep Ed Balls at a very long distance.

David Miliband on the WAY OUT!

BBC News: Reports on the signs that former Foreign Secretary and Labour Leadership Candidate David Miliband will not serve under his brother as Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer. One has to have a lot of sympathy for David Miliband, to be betrayed by your younger brother is worse that being stabbed in the back by a fellow Cabinet Colleague. Its to the credit of David Miliband that he has not flinched from his vote to approve the Iraq War, but David Miliband on the backbenches might be worse for Ed Miliband the new leader, in politics there is an ups and downs, if the Coalition is right with the cuts and can promise major tax cuts at the next election then Labour is dead in the water. Also should there be a major terrorist attack and the Coalition swings right on law and order the Labour Party is dead in the water. This is my prediction Ed Miliband will not be leading the Labour Party in the 2015 Election, it will be his brother.

Brown Years Part Two

Radio 4:The second instalment of the radio documentary on the Brown Years. It is well worth 45 minutes of your time folks, in 2008 you really feel sorry for the staff at 10 Downing Street, seems it was a nightmare of a working environment, would have taken this blog Prozac to work there. How come politicians are more honest on the radio than TV.

Alastair Campbell on Ed Miliband

Alastair Campbell Blog: The Master of New Labour spin has stated the following on the attack on New Labour by Ed Miliband, “....I was asked if I didn’t feel hurt at his seeming desire to distance from New Labour. The answer is No..”. It has to be noted if you read the AC Diaries ( And you should! ) he does come across as old Labour on Education, also AC has not time for the Tories and is a tribal Labour supporter. Lets see what Tony Blair and the Lord Mandelson make of Miliband junior.

New Labour WRONG on Iraq - Ed Miliband

Telegraph: Reports that the new Labour Leader Ed Miliband has stated that former PM Tony Blair was wrong to go to war in Iraq. It will be interesting to see how the New Labour founders will react, will Blair, Campbell, the Dark Prince go on the warpath, after stabbing his brother in the back Ed Miliband has now gone after the masters of New Labour, curious to see their reaction.

Echo of JFK = NOT!

John F. Kennedy Presidential Library & Museum: If you want to read a good and snappy Inaugural Address click here to read the speech that Mr Miliband copied , the Inaugural of President John F. Kennedy. To you future politicians don’t nick a famous quote from the Greats, we bloggers will find you out!

Miliband NO JFK

Let the message go out, a new generation has taken charge of Labour. Lets see if the artistic crowd start to make fun of Ed Miliband!

Ed Miliband’s 1st Speech as Leader

Iain Dale's Diary: The Conservative Blogger Iain Dale writes the following on Ed Milibands first speech as Labour Leader, “.. am not sure the Conservatives have an awful lot to worry about…The speech was ponderous, lacked pace and at times you could see the audience wondering when it was going to finish. ”. As stated in previous post Ed Miliband does not have that IT factor, when you see it you know, the BBC showed old footage of Tony Blair from 1994 and 2006 and he had it on both occasions. Recall seeing old footage of JFK from his Campaign for the Democratic nomination in 1960, even in black and white JFK had it, you cant fake IT, you can be as earnest as you want, someone should tell Ed Miliband he is no JFK, in the speech some sections Miliband had rewritten JFK Inaugural Passage! It was an okay speech, long, far to long, it’s a problem Bill Clinton had, he sometimes made a good speech and then he just went on and on, your not writing a Doctorate, should be short and snappy, lets see how Tony Blair reacts to the attack on the Iraq War. The Coalition should take Ed Miliband seriously, he did stab his own brother in the back, but the weakness for Miliband could be policy. Grade 5/10.

Woodward on Obama and Afghanistan

The Washington Post: Bob Woodward reports how the US National Security team got Obama to surge in Afghanistan, even if he didn’t like the plan. If Obama thinks Afghanistan is going to be as easy as Iraq the he is a fool, also he cant leave Afghanistan if there is a threat that Al Qaeda will return to power. Any Taliban/ Al Qaeda control of Afghanistan would be a threat to a nuclear armed Pakistan. Lets look at the political picture folks, the Obama health care reform has been a disaster for the Democrats, a majority of Americans still want to revoke the Act, the Obama economic plan has failed to get unemployment down from 9.6%, also you have 16% of voters who are in part time jobs or have given up on the job market. It a fact of politics that liberal Presidents cant be liberal on the domestic and international front, that is called Jimmy Carter. It only takes the Afghan Commander General Petraeus the hero of Iraq to walk out on Obama and run against him in 2012 for Obama to join the ranks for failed Presidents. The Taliban/ Al Qaeda are not fools, murdering thugs YES but not fools, they will see a weak President, a UK Coalition Government that wants out, thus what would you do if your intelligent terrorists, yes more body bags, why talk to the Kabul Government when you can wait Obama out, and Afghanistan can wait Obama out folks, they have done it to better leaders, starting with Alexander the Great. And Obama is NO Alexander or Nero even, and he was rock star in Rome. Its is interesting at the end of the article Obama gave the military thirty thousand troops, from his perspective he thinks that’s great, that he can control the War, good luck with that President, the military have way of getting what they want, Obama after the 2010 Mid Term Elections will be weak, the Republican Congress will support the military over Obama any day, the hold the purse strings, they can have investigations and hearings, Obama will have to play ball with the military and the Congress, that will be the price of losing the House. Obama has to get the fact that the real world is not a seminar. Also the US military play tougher that Chicago politics.

The Coalition Government and Ed Miliband

Guardian: Has an interesting article on how the PM Cameron and the Conservatives can defeat Ed Miliband at the next election, the article states the following, “ Cameron knows that the longer he keeps the coalition together, the better his chances of beating Miliband. ..”. This is a very interesting strategic view, but it can be argued that the real weapon against Labour will be the economy, if the Coalition cuts work and the Conservatives can promise major tax cuts in 2015 then Labour will lose badly. If the Coalition cuts fail and the economy is a dire state the Labour Party should have an easy victory. But as an ancient Labour PM stated, a week is a long time in politics, the Lib Dems in Government don’t want to face the electorate in till 2015, it’s a long time to go folks. Still bet that “ Red “ Ed Miliband will be replaced by 2015, he could even be replaced by his own brother David Miliband.

The International Monetary Fund vs. The Labour Party

BBC News: Reports that the IMF has supported the cuts of the Coalition Government. This will really place Ed Miliband the new Labour Leader in a tight spot, from the IMF to the Bank of England you have support for the Government cuts, and who does Mr Miliband have to thank for getting the Labour leadership but the Unions. It would be ironic if Mr Miliband lost the 2015 election in 2010, if the Government cuts work and Labour has opposed them due to the fact that Miliband is in the pocket of the Unions the Labour Party could be out of power for another twenty years. It is also ironic that Miliband Junior might need David Miliband more than David needs him at the minute, the only way that Miliband can tell the Unions to jump over a cliff is if his brother is the Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer. David Miliband could take the role of Gordon Brown, in other words he would run economic policy within Labour, Ed would be the front man, depends how charitable he feels towards his brother who stabbed him the back! If this blog was David Miliband would tell Ed he is on his own, and go make some money in business, he can come back in a few years to replace Ed before the 2015 election.

Deaths in Afghanistan

MOD: Reports that the UK has lost 338 of its Armed Forces Personnel in Afghanistan, of that total it has lost 298 in combat operations and 40 due to illness, accidents or other incidents. The next big milestone is when the UK will have lost 300 of its Soldiers in combat operations, how many more before 2015 when the new Coalition Government has promised the UK will have combat troops out of Afghanistan. And then we have the END RESULT, will Afghanistan be any different, will it be more Western, of course not, to many deaths for nothing, lets get out NOW, recall this blog would bomb Tehran tomorrow, so not some extreme left wing blog , just have some basic understating of Afghanistan, the UK has been HERE before, it never ends well, just history repeating itself, at the cost of our brave Armed Forces.

Afghanistan Front News

MOD: Has announced the name of the UK Soldier that was killed on Saturday in Afghanistan, the Soldier was “ Corporal Matthew Thomas, from the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers ”. Our thoughts are with the family of Corporal Thomas.

Obama 42% Approval - CNN

CNN: Reports on its latest poll on the job performance of President Obama, 42% approve and 54% disapprove of Obama in the Oval. The liberal CNN points out that both Clinton and Reagan had the same poll numbers, but in November 1994 Clinton lost the House to the Republicans, the Democrats didn’t get control back in till 2006. Thus the Obama White House is a negative to moderate and conservative Democrats, they will need to run away from Obama, the President will do some good in getting the money in for candidates but most would rather have a root canal than a picture of them with Obama. Thus lets postulate that the Republicans take the House, what will Obama do, Clinton moved to the centre and won re-election in 1996 but Obama has not given any signs that he will move to the centre, he is a extreme liberal. Thus the election of 2012 will have the following outcome, Obama will lose by around 48/49 States, ObamaCare will be revoked, and the Republicans will control the White House and Congress. That is of course if Obama’s runs, might make a bet that he calls it quits and does not run in 2012.

Wobble Miliband ?

Guardian: Nice line from a Guardian writer about the new Labour Leader Ed Miliband, the article states the following on “ Red Ed “ Miliband, “ Labour has ended up with a wobbly and unpopular jelly in place of a leader. Am I wrong? ”. It comes down to what David Mililband does, he can stay but he should demand the job of Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer, Ed Miliband wont really be in a position to say NO, Christmas is not far off!! Or David Senior could walk off, leave the Labour to his Miliband Junior and come back to save the ship when Miliband Junior hit’s the rocks and the Labour seeks a new Leader. Lets see what would you do if your family stabbed you in the back folks?.

The Bestseller that NEVER WAS ?

Fox News: Reports that the US Defence Department has bought the entire stock of a new book; Operation Dark Heart; and burned all the copies due to a threat to National Security. Its is alleged that the US intelligence knew that 9/11 terrorist leader Mohammed Atta was a threat to the US before 9/11. As this covers the Administrations of Clinton, Bush 43 and Obama one can assume that the security threat of the book is more political, it is interesting that from the UK its only Fox News that is leading with this story. Why is the main stream media ( MSM ) not following up this story, could it be that it makes the Clinton Administration look bad, lets see if this story gets picked up by other outlets. Burning books, makes this blog not that comfortable.

Obama = Carter

Telegraph: Reports on how the new Bob Woodward book has damaged the Obama Presidency, its shows a weak President when it comes Afghanistan, how Obama cares more about the Democratic Party than winning the War in Afghanistan. This blog has noted for sometime that Obama will either be a one term President or might not even run, like LBJ, President Obama needs a fawning crowd, the crowds have gone and joined the Tea Party movement. If in the 2010 Mid Term Elections the Democrats lose the House and the Republicans get close to parity in the Senate the Obama Agenda is dead on the Hill. Thus my developing prediction that Obama just might not run, it is very hard when the crowd stop loving you, go ask Tony Blair Mr President.

Not " Red " Ed = Ed Miliband

BBC News: Reports on Ed Miliband’s first TV interview as Labour Leader, Mr Miliband stated that the Labour Party under his leadership would not go to the left. Two pieces of advice for Miliband Junior, don’t have David Miliband in the Shadow Cabinet, if Ed makes David Chancellor then the Blair/Brown years will look like happy hour in the pub. Politics is a brutal business, you cant have two Milibands in charge of the Party, this is not a banana Republic ( no pun on David Miliband's his fondness for bananas ), in politics your either in or your out, and its easier to get rid Labour Leaders in Opposition than when in Government, in Opposition it only needs 12% of MPs to set off an election. If the public opinion polls in a few years don’t show a Labour lead the MPs will throw Miliband Junior out and seek his replacement, does Ed trust David not to stab him in the back after what he has done! Thus Miliband Junior should find a job anywhere else for David Miliband. The second piece of advice is also about personnel, what ever Ed Miliband does he should not place Ed Balls as Chancellor of the Exchequer, Balls would be after his job fast. The new leader should make a striking gesture and appoint Andy Burnham as Chancellor, show that the past is the past. Also lets be honest if Mr Miliband does fall during the first hurdle, then Labour could do worse than elect Mr Burnham, he has the makings of a new Tony Blair, some more years training in the arts and he just might be the next Labour Leader.

The Ed Miliband Years

In modern politics; in the TV age; you have to have IT, this is defined as STAR power, in recent elections in the US that IT was President Obama, in the past it was JFK and Reagan. The reason for this post is the fact that Ed Miliband is the new Labour Leader and he does not have IT, in 1994 when Tony Blair was elected he had IT, and lets be honest up to Iraq and even after he still had that appeal, he did win the 2005 election after all, its only of late that the elite in the media and politics has turned on Blair. It can argued that neither Obama or Blair have aged well, Reagan looked great at the end of his Presidency, his predecessor Jimmy Carter looked old in 1980. That is the fickle age folks, one minute a rock star, then please get out of the way and let the door hit you on the way out for good measure. Also how can Ed Miliband ask the UK voter to TRUST him when he has just stabbed his own brother in the back, it might be the norm in the Labour Party and Labour Party voters but its not the norm to the rest of the electorate. There is a classic example of this, when Obama threw his white ill grandmother under the bus by stating she had perceived racist views to save his black racist and left wing Pastor, the elite media thought he was honest and fawned over him ( the elite media in the US are parental racist, thus its okay for an African - American to be racist but not a white working class guy. Lets be clear racism is WRONG, colour, white, black, brown, does not matter, is the character that counts, and when it fails its about the person ), but Obama’s poll ratings have gone down the toilet ( due to the fact that he ran as a moderate but has turned out to be a extreme liberal, you seen trust folks, once you lose that voter looks at your character on the whole, as noted above Obama crossed a line with his denouement of his grandmother, to protect a Pastor that had got him up the ladder in Chicago politics ) , one of the reasons is that Obama was WRONG, there are some lines you don’t cross, and throwing blood over the cliff is wrong with the exception if they break the law, armed robbery you get the idea! Thus what Ed Miliband has done with cost him, Labour cant see that, what lesson does that send out to families, its okay it seems in the nuclear family to sabotage family members, destroy their careers in many respects, think about that! Thus if Ed Miliband will stab his brother in the back can he be trusted not to stab the VOTER or the COUNTRY in the back ( the tea party in US is based on the idea that Washington D.C under the Democrats and Obama have spent the US in to ruin), something things are more important than politics.

Obama on Ahmadinejad

President Obama has reacted to the accusation by President Ahmadinejad of Iran that the US was behind 9/11, the President has stated the following in New York “ Well, it was offensive. It was hateful. And particularly for him to make the statement here in Manhattan, just a little north of Ground Zero, where families lost their loved ones, people of all faiths, all ethnicities who see this as the seminal tragedy of this generation, for him to make a statement like that was inexcusable. ”. The question that has to be asked is what is Obama going to do, one can think what JFK or Reagan would have done with such a comments, the planes would have been in the air the next minute to strike Iran, what does Obama do, his favourite thing, hearing his own voice, then nothing. Lets be honest Ahmadinejad could place the flag of Iran on Ground Zero and Obama would just waffle. This is why Israel has to hit Iran and soon, Obama can not be trusted when it comes to national security, he is more interested in keeping the Democratic Party together than winning in Afghanistan, do the people of Israel think that Obama will defend them, lets recall he spent his formative political years in the company of a extreme left wing preacher.

DPM Clegg on President Ahmadinejad

Guardian: Reports that DPM Nick Clegg is to be highly critical of President Ahmadinejad of Iran for his comments yesterday that US was behind 9/11. At the end of the day folks President Obama is weak, he has not have the morale courage to take action when it comes to Iran, thus it will be down to Israel, still the best strategy for Israel to hit Iran just before the 2010 Mid Term Congressional Election in the US, this would force Obama to support Israel, also give a boost to the Republicans, the left would be split, the elite like the extreme Liberal New York Times will complain about Iran but don’t want to do anything, thus such a strike would be a win for Israel and the Republicans, and also force Obama to see the real world, not his University Seminar view of the World.

The Koreas at WAR ?

Telegraph: Reports that Russia has warned that North and South Korea are on the brink of War. This is the last thing the Obama Administration needs, any power struggle in North Korea could cause a major war with South Korea, this would drag in the US and the powers that fought the Korean War, that means the UK. As stated many times North Korea is a nuclear armed power, with missile technology, thus a threat to the region, and this brings in Japan. Any attack on Japan would bring in the US. Lets hope Russia has caught the wrong end of the stick, if not it could get very bloody folks.

Labour Leadership Election Result - Saturday

BBC News: Reports on what a new Labour Leader will bring to the Labour Party. It seems that the voting is going the way of “ Red “ Ed Miliband, but if Mr Miliband junior wins due to the votes of the trade unions he will be in political trouble. The result could be that David Miliband wins the rest of the Party but due to the nature of the Labour vote, they have AV, the power of the Unions could deliver the vote to his brother Ed. There has been talk that David Miliband would serve under his brother, bad idea for Labour, it would make the Blair/Brown years look happy, and the stress would be on the HAPPY. It can be argued for the sanity of Mr David Miliband that he either goes back to the backbenches or leaves the House of Commons. Whatever the brothers say, when you stab your own brother in the back in politics there can be no going back, it is reported that young Miliband was a fan of Dallas in the 1980s, it seems that he has learnt well from J. R Ewing. Just a warning to Labour, Obama threw his grandmother under the bus for his racist preacher, can you trust young Miliband not to do the same to the Labour Party.

Torture and David Miliband

Guardian: Reports that Labour Leadership Candidate David Miliband and former Foreign Secretary allowed SIS ( MI6 ) to carry out operations that could lead to terror suspects being tortured abroad. If David Miliband wins one can presume that the Guardian will have to eat humble pie for a time before getting access to the new leader. On the other hand it’s a great weapon for the Coalition Government, if Labour pushes its mobile hacking claim it can grant a Judicial Review but one that will also look at the torture of UK Subjects or UK interests under political authority. Thus Mr Miliband might face some very tough questions, the nature of the cases, how far did he give the green light, etc. Also it might drag in Blair and Brown. Who will bet that if David Miliband wins there will be a side deal to drop all such investigations.

Obama’s FAILURE over Afghanistan

The Washington Post: Reports on the political in fighting within the Obama White House between the LIBERAL President who wants out of Afghanistan and the military who want to win as with the case in Iraq. One can see General Petraeus the former Commander of Iraq and now in Afghanistan walking out on Obama and running against him in 2012, the General from the sources in the article is not a happy bunny when it comes to Obama. The flaw in the Obama character is also shown, he seems to think that the WORLD is a Harvard seminar, that the World is what he thinks it is, any guy that made his political bones through a racist preacher and spent years in his Church does not see the real world. Lets face it the EGO was not helped by getting the Nobel Prize for doing nothing, and I mean nothing! It looks like Mr Woodward has another bestseller on his hands.

The White House WARS of the Obama White House

The New York Times: Reports that Bob Woodward of the Washington Post, the part of the team that bought down Richard Nixon over Watergate has come out a new book on the Obama White House and its fraught Afghan Policy. In essence the National Security Team don’t trust the political operatives around Obama and the political operatives seems more interested in spin not having a united Afghan Policy. Read of the Day.

NTA Vote

Its that time of year folks, the National Television Awards, please VOTE for Dr Who for Best Drama and support Matt Smith & Karen Gillan. PLEASE VOTE!

Carter the BEST President - Carter

The New York Times: Reports on the comments by former President Carter that he was better than his successors. Carter has lost the plot, not that he ever got the plot in the first place! Ronald Reagan on his worse day, and those didn’t happen often was a great compared to Jimmy Carter. It takes a special kind of delusion to think you’re a great, never thought I would say this, on this side of the door to Hades but even Bill Clinton was a good President compared to Carter, and Clinton was Impeached. Carter has well and truly lost the PLOT.

Brown Years - The Hell of 10 Downing Street under Brown

Telegraph: Has more on the documentary about the Brown years in 10 Downing Street, after a varied line up of critical quotes on the working environment of Brown at Downing Street, the Conservative Telegraph writes the following, “ So there we have it – an intimidating, brooding presence who went into rant mode at the drop of a hat. Not a pretty sight. ”. Thank God the DPM Nick Clegg had the guts to finish off Brown, Blair and the rest of the Labour Leadership never had the nerve to finish the job and do the UK a favour.

The NIGHTMARE of the BROWN Years!

BBC Radio 4: Has started an excellent three part documentary on the Brown Years. The first instalment showed how events had a way of pushing Brown off Agenda, from natural floods to terrorism. That the Election of 2007 that never was pushed Brown off a cliff with the voters and how Brown never came back in to favour. In many respects the main enemy of Brown was time, he had waited to long, what ever new ideas he might have had could not fit in with events or the fact that time has passed them by during the Blair years. Excellent 1st Part, Click Here:

Afghanistan Front News

Cameron on Sangin

The UK Coalition PM David Cameron pays tribute to UK Soldiers who have fought and died in Sangin Afghanistan. After the death of 106 of the UK’s Armed Forces Personnel the UK is out of Sangin if not out of Afghanistan, how many more deaths before the UK is out in 2015.

The Guardian and Nick Clegg

Guardian: The Guardian columnists give their verdict on DPM Nick Clegg’s Leaders Speech at the Liberal Democrat Conference. On the whole negative. The BBC, Guardian, Independent, artistic ELITE will never forgive Nick Clegg for going in to Coalition with the Conservative Party, as it does not suite their view of the world. The speech was tough on the need to cut the debt, and how this was the right coalition government for this period. The Liberal Democrats will need to keep their nerve and also get used to being hated, that has in their times been learned by New Labour and the Conservative Party.

Obama vs. The Tea Party Movement

Fox News: Reports that that Obama White House is considering going to WAR against the Tea Party movement. This would be a bad mistake by the Obama White House, it would turn it to Big Gov vs. Main Street, the tea party movement was created due to the impression that the Democrats in the White House and the Hill had lost the plot when it come to the economy of the US. The Obama stimulus failed to create jobs, his health care reform has not turned down the costs of health care in the US. The rate of those unemployed or in part time work is close to 16%. In essence folks the Obama Liberal Agenda has failed, the last thing that Oval should do is attack main street, that would look more than crazy, it would look arrogant, that is something President Obama needs to avoid at all costs. The 2010 Mid Term Election will be tough for Democrats, they could lose the House and keep the Senate by a narrow margin, the fun times are over for Obama.

The Special Relationship - Telegraph

Telegraph: Reviews film The Special Relationship, how the media and artistic elite in the UK will never forgive Tony Blair for Iraq, after their support in 1997. As stated on Twitter thought that the film was rather harsh on Tony Blair, but one can understand why he is hated by the left and the elite, it is the same with President Obama, they sold themselves to the voter as one thing but it can be argued that they turned out in the case of Blair to be a right winger who liked Wars, while Obama was a extreme left winger. The voter in the US and the UK don’t like to be conned, when they feel that they have been conned they go from love to hate, Blair cant even go to a book singing for Gods sake.

106 DEAD in Sangin

BBC News: Reports on the tribute to UK troops by the PM David Cameron on the day that the US took over Military Command of Sangin. The UK has lost 106 of its Armed Forces Personnel in Sangin. The question that has to be asked are any more losses worth it given the fact that the UK has stated it will be out of Afghanistan by 2015.

Afghanistan Front News

MOD: Has announced the name of one of the UK Soldiers that was killed on Saturday, the Soldier was “ Trooper Andrew Martin Howarth of Fondouk Squadron, The Queen's Royal Lancers (QRL) ”. Our thoughts are with the family of Trooper Howarth. Trooper Howarth was just 20 folks, is Afghanistan worth this kind of loss.

The Guardian Manifesto - Lord Mandelson

Mail on Sunday: Reports on how the Dark Prince Lord Mandelson has described the New Labour Manifesto of 2010 as written by Ed Miliband as a document that could have been written by the left wing Guardian, in other words a vote loser. Don’t be surprised folks to see more attacks before the new leader is announced next Saturday, the old New Labour founders see that the Labour Party is returning to its vote losing heritage. Thus it can be argued that New Labour was a PR stunt, at the its heart it didn’t change Labour, it was a cosmetic cover to win elections. Once Tony Blair was gone, the Party under Gordon Brown returned to its old Labour past, the example being the 50% tax band. it’s a fight for the soul of Labour folks.

The Future of Liberal Democrat Coalition with Labour ?

Guardian: Reports on Lib Dem Conference fringe meeting that discussed the prospects of a Coalition between the Liberal Democrats and New Labour or Labour. It simple folks, any future agreement would require the head of Nick Clegg, thus its in the interest of Nick Clegg for the Coalition to work for a very long time. At the end of the day this is the man that chopped the head of Gordon Brown off, no one else had dared, thus Clegg is quite ruthless, the left wing of the Lib Dems should not think Clegg is a push over, he is quite the ruthless politician.

The Brits are GOOD - Titanic

Telegraph: Reports on a new ITV version of the Titanic story, this time the Bits are the good guys! The colonies, sorry out US cousins wont like that, we are Brits are in their view, in constant rain and fog ( okay rain part is true ) we don’t smile ( in Chester last week and Charity worker told me I was the only one smiling! ) we are devious and secretive ( God YES, our neighbour is France ) we don’t wash ( not true, we wash ) we lofty views of ourselves ( well out neighbour is France and Europe ) and we are not sensitive to the needs of others ( not true if last biscuit would give it to my dog over a France! ). Lets recall the Titanic was built in Belfast and even after a hundred years it still looks good at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean, and the men ( generic term ) of Belfast are Brits till they vote to become part of Ireland.

The Dark Prince ATTACKS Miliband and Balls

BBC News: Reports on critical comments by the Dark Prince himself, Lord Mandelson, the former Business Secretary is critical of Ed Miliband for his dishing for the 2010 manifesto that he wrote, that did not appeal to non Labour voters. In the case of Ed Balls he is accused of wanting to be Chancellor thus being critical of the Labour’s last Chancellor the Exchequer Alistair Darling. One has to wonder why the this attack now, it can be postulated that the old New Labour hands of Blair, Mandelson even Campbell do not want to see their New Labour thrown in to the bin by Ed Mililband. In reading the Alastair Campbell Diaries one can see that Gordon Brown was not fully New Labour, he wanted pre 1997 to have a tax band of 50% but was shot down by then Opposition Leader Tony Blair. Thus it can be argued that Ed Miliband in many respects in the natural heir to Brown, if he wins expect a role for Brown in a new Labour Opposition, not the case if David Miliband wins the election. In fact Ed Miliband has made it clear that Lord Mandelson is finished for a future role should he win, it can be argued that goes for Blair and Campbell.

Deaths in Afghanistan

MOD: Reports that two UK Soldiers died on Saturday in Afghanistan, the Soldiers were form the “ The Queen's Royal Lancers and the Royal Engineers, serving as part of Combined Force Lashkar Gah ”. Thus since 2001 the UK has lost 337 of its Armed Forces Personnel in Afghanistan, of that total it has lost 297 in combat operations and 40 due to illness, accidents or other incidents. In time folks we will reach 300 combat death, its only a matter of time.

The Special Relationship, BBC 2 9.30pm Tonight

The New York Times: The Special Relationship was shown in the US a few months ago, here the liberal NYT review of the programme. Tony Blair is not that popular with the liberal New York Times, thus his faults are seen with staring with his push for ground troops in Kosovo, thus his close relationship with another hated figure by the extreme liberal NYT, have a guess?, yes Bush 43. Mr Blair will have to accept that the media elite in both the US and the UK will never forgive him for Iraq, Bush 43 in a odd way gets away with it, Bush is Bush, never hid the fact that he was not a liberal. The right will always defend Bush 43, when it’s a choice of Obama or Bush 43 this blog will always argue for Bush 43, flawed but so was LBJ, didn’t make them not good Presidents. While Tony Blair does not have the left, and the right thought he spent to much on the public sector, thus the present economic problems in the UK. Thus Iraq was a Blair choice, he was given a get out clause by Bush 43, he didn’t take it, thus the former PM will have to live with the consequences.

Gallup Poll - Obama 48% Disapproval

Gallup: Reports on its latest daily tracking poll, it seems even after 9/11 anniversary Obama didn’t get a bounce from events, the latest poll has Obama on 48% disapproval, while 45% approve of the Obama’s performance as President. This is not good for Democrats running in the 2010 Mid Term Elections, they dont want to see their political careers finished due to Obama. All the Obama promises from his stimulus to health care have failed to work for the Democrats. Thus if you’re a moderate or conservative Democrat you bail on the White House and push for the Bush 43 tax cuts to be extended for all not just the Middle Class, Obama wont veto the move he does not have the nerve, also the Hill could overturn his veto, politics is brutal go ask Jimmy Carter Mr President.

Brothers at WAR - The Miliband Brothers

Guardian: Reports how the Campaigns of the Miliband Brothers, David and Ed are at War, how David is seen as the heir to Tony Blair while Ed Miliband is seen as a thrown back to pre New Labour, in the pockets of the Trade Unions. This fight could make the Blair vs. Brown fight look like friendly, when it comes to family war its gets nasty. One can postulate that only one Miliband Brother has a political future after the Labour Leadership Election. If Ed Miliband defeats David then one can see David Miliband returning to the backbenches, could he really serve under his younger brother! If David Miliband wins can he really give an important job to his brother!! Thus the winner of the election will have a future while the loser will need to find a new career.

Carter vs. Kennedy

Fox News: Reports on the release of the Jimmy Carter Diaries, and how President Carter felt the nomination challenge by Senator Edward M. Kennedy hurt him in his fight against Ronald Reagan. Lets hope President Obama reads this article and what can happen to failed one term Presidents. Carter was a disaster as President from the economy to foreign affairs, it took Reagan as President to return the US to greatness.

Sovereign Debt DEFAULT = Republic of Ireland ?

Telegraph: Reports on the worry that the Ireland will go belly up and will not be able to pay its debts like Iceland and will need to be bailed out by the IMF. Lets gets it straight folks, the Western European Countries are broke, Ireland, UK, Spain, Italy, the welfare state is a cancer to the system, the welfare state from the NHS down does not create profit or jobs, that was the problem with the Blair/Brown years, New Labour just spent and spent, when the crash came the money had run out, the welfare state from the NHS to benefits just grown each year, there comes a point when it has to end, not welfare but its structure, why should those that leave school at 16 or 18 get any benefits, why should one parent families that grown when on benefits get any extra benefits, why should the welfare state be the best and better option for a lot of younger people. The UK Government has a debt of around 156 billion that has to be rolled back, this will take drastic measures, even eye watering measures, if the Trade Unions go on strike then sack them, employ those out of work, President Reagan sacked Air Traffic Controllers when they went on strike, it takes that kind of toughness, Lady Thatcher would not compromise with the NUM or any other trade union. The good years are over folks, the UK voter and the voters of Western Europe should get that fact or it will be tears before bedtime.

Troubled Waters ? = Liberal Democrats Conference

BBC News: Reports that the annual Liberal Democrats Conference will start today, the DPM Nick Clegg expects a rough ride at the conference due to the public spending cuts that will be announced in October. This is the real test for Nick Clegg and the Lib Dems, if they can hold their nerve then they have a chance of showing the UK voter that they could be the successor Party to New Labour, if they fall apart they will be a laughing stock, this is the time to show a tough side, not some Lib Dems weak side.

Defence of WELFARE Cuts - Clegg

Guardian: Reports that DPM Nick Clegg the Leader of the Liberal Democrats has defended the forthcoming cuts, the DPM has stated that welfare should help people get back to work, not become a life choice . Mr Clegg should expect the furies of the political elite to come down on his head, its worse that these reforms are coming from the Leader of the Liberal Democrats, they see it as a shield for the Prime Minister David Cameron and the Conservative Party. The left needs people to be poor, they need generations of people on welfare, if people are helped back to work and welfare is seen as the last option not the first option the point of Labour goes out of the window. The Guardian and the Labour Party will never forgive Mr Clegg, he has to make the Coalition work for his political future.

Welfare Cuts - DPM Clegg

BBC News: Reports on a article in the Times ( pay wall ) by the DPM Clegg, the DPM states that there will be cuts in welfare spending. It will come as a shock to Liberal Democrats to be hated, as stated the Conservatives and Labour have been through the mill, NOW it’s the turn of the Lib Dems. The welfare budget is a disaster, a disaster that can no longer be funded, the Government should be tough, if your not in education between 16 - 25 and you want benefits then you have to do community work, or charity work, anything that gets you out of the house. If you’re a one parent family and you have more than one child your benefits should be frozen or cut. All benefits for children should end at 16, and benefits should only be paid for the first child. Also you only get these benefits if your income is under twenty five thousand as a single individual or thirty thousand for a married or combined couple. These are tough times folks, it will be tough medicine, this is the hole that Labour has placed the UK.

Winter Fuel Allowance ?

The Daily Mail: Reports that the age that the winter fuel allowance kicks in for OAP’s could be raised from 60 to 70 due to the need for public spending cuts. The Coalition Government if they are going to do something this drastic and unpopular should get it out NOW, otherwise we will see weeks of leaks and scare stories, get it out now, let the pain be understood that it is a matter of getting the UK out of the red left by the Labour Party. It would be advisable that there should be means testing for those over 65, in other words those that are poor and 65 should get more money from the Government. The Labour Party will shout from the roof tops but this is their fault, the Blair/Brown years have bankrupted the UK.

Obama’s Mandate and the Economy

RCP: Looks how Obama won the 2008 election after the banking collapse but failed to understand that his only job was to get the US economy going, not forcing moderate and conservative Democrats to fall over a cliff for his Liberal Agenda. If the Democrats lose big in November elections the defeated Congressmen/women and Senators should read this article, next time they will see beyond the lights and the PR, and see that one election win is no guarantee of re-election, at the end of the day if your out of work, your health costs are going up, your about to get thrown out of your house, there are only low paid part time jobs, your going to blame the guy in the Oval, last time I looked that was President Obama. Read of the Day.

The Tea Party Movement and the Elite in the US and the UK

BBC News: Reports on the success of the tea party movement when it comes to challenging the Republican Establishment in Tuesdays Primary Elections in the US. One thing the blog can predict is the fact that the elite press in the US and the UK will go on the attack when it comes to the tea party supports, as the movement is a political threat to President Obama expect the elite to say that the movement is racist, due to the fact that a lot of them are Reagan Democrats, working class white folks who don’t agree with the economic policies of the Obama White House, don’t want the Oval to decide how they should get health benefits and see the Obama spending as extreme liberalism gone over the top. Also many voters think that Obama ran as a moderate but has governed as a extreme Liberal. Thus expect the political attacks to start in the run up to the Mid Term Elections folks.

Defending the CUTS - PM Cameron

Daily Mail: Reports that Coalition PM David Cameron has stated to his Cabinet that they should be defending the forthcoming cuts and placing pressure on Labour on what is Labour Policy and what they would cut. The left wing elite from the BBC, Guardian, Independent are taking the Labour line without really placing Labour in the dock, the economic mess is down to Tony Blair and Gordon Brown, they spent like drunken sailors in the good times but didn’t keep anything under the bed when the economy went down the toilet. Thus the Coalition Government will have to take tough and unpopular decisions, the winter fuel payment might have to be for those only over 75 or in economic need at 65. The tax credits for families after the first child might have to be revoked. All Departments will take a hit with the exception of the NHS and International support to poor countries. Thus the Conservatives and the Lib Dems have to keep Labour on the back foot, if need be have a judicial investigation in to rendition that should keep Labour quite for a while, its harsh politics time folks, in other words the Coalition has to bury New Labour for a generation.

The Tea Party and the 2010 Elections

Fox News: Reports that Christine O'Donnell has won the Republican nomination to be the Republican Candidate for the Senate Seat vacated by VP Biden. The question that is still up in the air is the Tea Party movement a help or a hazard to the Republican Party in the long term, the result in Delaware shows that it might be a major hazard, in essence the Republicans have thrown away a Senate seat that was in the bank, it can be argued that Ms O’ Donnell might just win in Delaware but this blog would not bet the house on that result. Thus it can be postulated at this early stage that the Democrats will keep the Senate, the House is a different matter, still odds on that the Republicans will take the House and be even with the Democrats in the Senate, the Republican Establishment has to make a deal with the tea party, it has to be one and win, otherwise the Democrats will win by default, a divided vote.

Prediction in Delaware

The New York Times: As of this moment Christine O’ Donnell the Tea Party supported Candidate in the Republican race to be the Republican Candidate in November is around 10% ahead of the Establishment Republican Michael Castle. The left wing Guardian, and the Liberal NYT will love this development, in the Delaware race Mr Castle was seen as a winner in the general election while Ms O’ Donnell is seen as to Conservative for the State. Thus my prediction that O’ Donnell will win but lose in the General Election.

US Primary Night

Guardian: Has a live blog from the US on the Primary Elections in “ New Hampshire, Delaware, New York, Massachusetts primaries ”. The most interesting fight is in Delaware, in the Republican nomination fight for the Senate race you have a Establishment vs. a Tea Party Candidate, in political terms the Establishment Republican is seen with the good chance of taking the Senate Seat of former Senator and now Vice - President Jo Biden, the question that has to be asked does the tea party have the muscle to threaten the Republican Establishment. It seems only the Guardian in the UK is following these results, click here to see the latest results from the Guardian.

Lord Prescott supports DAVID MILIBAND

Guardian: Reports that Lord Prescott the former Deputy Leader of the Labour Party under Tony Blair is supporting the former Foreign Secretary David Miliband to be new leader of the Labour Party after Gordon Brown. Lord Prescott is a wise political operative, he would not place his career on the line to support David Miliband if he could not read the tea leaves when it comes to whom Labour will support, one has to say at this moment that the money has to be on David Miliband not his brother Ed Miliband.

Spin MASTER on ATTACK - The Special Relationship

Telegraph: Reports that the colourful New Labour spin master, Alastair Campbell is coming out in attack form over a new film that deals with the political relationship between former Labour PM Tony Blair and former US President Bill Clinton. In other words watch it folks, love articles, books, films that drive New Labour architects up the wall, so far Tony Blair has been quite, or is Mr Campbell the response from Camp Blair. The film is on Saturday folks, remember to set the record folks. Will review the film, at the end of the week.

Teacher Brown - Get me a DRINK!

BBC News: Reports that former Labour Leader and PM Gordon Brown is to teach at Harvard University. My advice, drink a lot to the students, think what he did to former PM Tony Blair after ten years. It might be postulated that Mr Brown might be a good teacher, but and here is the but, Academia is more vicious in some respects than politics!

Getting AWAY with MURDER ?

Guardian: Reports that UK Armed Forces Personnel have gotten away with murder while in Iraq. This blog supports the Armed Forces, and will always defend them against left wing charges, but and here is the but, although this blog gives a lot discretion to our Armed Forces while in combat there has to be a line that is not crossed, there has to be a difference between Western Forces and Al Qaeda, all charges should be investigated and the actions of our Forces should always be looked at as they are in combat action, but outside that there is the law. Lets hope the Ministry of Defence clear up this story.

Tony Blair & Bill Clinton

Mail on Sunday: Reviews the forthcoming drama based on the political relationship between former Labour PM Tony Blair and the former American President Bill Clinton. It is interesting on social issues both Blair and Clinton had similar polices even if Mr Blair to his credit moved the country on gay issues much more forward in the end, but when it comes to Foreign Policy and that is the important bit, Blair was the twin of Bush 43, and lets be honest here folks, Bush 43 gave Blair an out for Iraq but the Mr Blair stood with Bush 43, thus ever since his bad press in the UK. The article states that the filmmakers will do a final film on Blair with is role in Iraq and his leaving of office under pressure in 2007, thus Mr Sheen will have played Mr Blair four times by then starting with the Deal, an excellent drama, that deals with the relationship between Mr Blair and Mr Brown in the early years. The there was the Queen, the story how Tony Blair saved the Monarchy from itself after the death of Diana, now the relationship between Blair and Clinton, and how Blair pushed Clinton to take action in Kosovo. This series of films if I am not wrong is unique.

Mail on Sunday, SCUM - Alastair Campbell

Alastair Campbell Blog: The once Master of New Labour spin has a go at the Mail on Sunday, AC states the following on the on the journalist/ celebrity Piers Morgan writing for the Mail, “ I wish he wouldn’t write for the scum though…”. I wonder if the Mail on Sunday lawyers should have a look at his quote!! Even mere bloggers have to follow some standards, it seems that the once Master of Spin has become the story, in other words your have lost the news cycle, its true you really cant go back to the greats, well Tony Blair period.

Afghanistan Front News

MOD: Has announced the name of the British Soldier that died in the UK of wounds sustained in Afghanistan, the Soldier was “ Kingsman Darren Deady from the 2nd Battalion, The Duke of Lancaster's Regiment, serving as part of Combined Force Nahr-e Saraj (South) ”. Our thoughts are with the family of Kingsman Deady.

The 1st Conservative/ Liberal Coalition 1916 - 1922

The Daily Mail: Excellent article by the former Deputy Leader of the Labour Party Roy Hattersley on the last Conservative/ Liberal Coalition between 1916 - 1922. History does repeat itself but its not a given, the fate of the Liberals in 1922 might not be the same for modern LibDems, but this is excellent warning form history by Mr Hattersley. Read of the Day.

Death in the UK - Afghanistan

MOD: Reports that a British Soldier died yesterday in the UK of wounds sustained in Afghanistan, the Soldier was from the “ 2nd Battalion, The Duke of Lancaster's Regiment, serving as part of Combined Force Nahr-e Saraj (South) ”. Thus since 2001 the UK has lost 335 of its Armed Forces Personnel in Afghanistan, of that total it has lost 295 in combat operations and 40 due to illness, accidents or other incidents. There will be more deaths folks.

Remembrance

Let us remember all those that died today on the 11th of September 2001, lets never forget, lets us always remember those seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years after 9/11. The terrorists shall never win, let that be the final line of the events of 9/11.

Burning the KORAN ? = The Media

The Washington Post: Reports on media frenzy around the threat to burn the Koran. This is one of the times the 24/7 news cycle has gotten right out of hand, the Koran is a holy book for Muslims, as with the Bible and other religious books they should be respected, the idea of burning books is an outrage in itself, but religious books should be protected from such action, its about time the State Government of Florida took action, there must be County laws that prevent such action, it should not take the President of the United States and the Defence Secretary to call for the event to be stopped. There is freedom but that freedom comes with obligations, no event should cost the lives of NATO soldiers or innocent people.

9th Anniversary of 9/11 - 11 September 2001

Fox News: Reports that the DIA, the Defence Intelligence Agency is attempting to block a book on Operation Dark Heart, it is claimed that the US had fingered Mohammed Atta as a threat; one of the 9/11 terrorists; before 9/11. The conspiracy theorists will have a field day with this kind of story, it will allow the nuts to say that the Bush Administration could have prevented 9/11 etc. This is the last thing the US needs due to the present crisis of the planned the aborted idea to burn the Koran. Also all media should stop giving the nutty Pastor in Florida TV time, that’s why this blog has not covered the story, people have started to die in Afghanistan.

Coalition Split over Welfare Reform ?

Guardian: Reports of a backlash by Coalition MPs to the further welfare cuts by the Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne. When you read the article it’s the usual left wing Liberal Democrat MPs, always the usual suspects. The Guardian should be careful it does not become another Daily Mirror, the hacking story is Labour spin, the above story is an attempt to cause problems for the Coalition Government and to the Lib Dem leader Nick Clegg. At its essence the Guardian, Mirror, Independent believe in BIG government, even when the money has run out, even Tony Blair has not time for these left wing elites.

Who is Don Draper?

Telegraph: A short profile of Jon Hamm the actor who plays Don Draper in Mad Men, the article has the nicest line on Mr Hamn, the article states the following, “ the only indecent thing about Hamm was his happy marriage ”. It can be fair to say that the article writer is a bit of a fan of Don Draper, what guy does not want to be Don Draper when he grows up, what girl does not want to date Don Draper!! Lets get back to the series, the fourth season has started on the BBC, the first episode was “ Who is Don Draper ? ”, it was fantastic, quick but also showed the arc of the characters developing, Don didn’t get the girl at the end, it was a nice scene for Mr Hamm, he could show Don getting the fact that while he has not lost it with women it is no longer a direct from coffee to bed!! I was thinking of Mr Hamm to play Ronald Reagan in the biopic next year, he could take the role from when Reagan become Governor of California through the rest of his life.

The Royal Mail BLACKMAIL

BBC News: Reports that the Royal Mail will either be sold or privatised as to make it more efficient and profitable, the move is opposed by the CWU, the postal union. This story recalled a story in the memoirs of Lord Peter Mandelson ( The Third Man, Life at the Hart of New Labour. P 478-480), while he was Business Secretary a first report by Richard Hooper also suggested moderate reform of the Royal Mail, even Gordon Brown who had opposed reform while Chancellor supported the move, but the Trade Union is a big donor to Labour and in essence blackmailed Labour MPs that they would not get any cash to fight the forthcoming election, the plan was dropped due to Union pressure. Lets hope the Coalition Government does not buckle under Union pressure, in the age of the internet the Royal Mail has to reform or go out of business in the near future.

The VOTER Backlash - Coalition Government

Telegraph: Reports on comments by the DPM Nick Clegg the Leader of the Liberal Democrats that the Coalition Government will face a voter backlash due to the public spending cuts. This might not be true folks, the UK voter can see the real world, there have to cuts, the Government is 155 billion in debt, between tax revenue and spending. Its not that there will be cuts, its how they are managed, if the voter can see that the Coalition is dealing with the cuts in a fair manner, they will get respect if not cheers, thus down the line in 2015 they just might get re- elected. That is the game of politics folks.

15 Billion WELFARE Cuts

BBC News: Reports that the Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne has stated that a further 4 billion in welfare will be cut on top of the previous announced 11 Billion. All EU and even the US after President Obama is defeated in 2012 will have to scale back welfare, with the funding of the Old Age pensions and health costs the Western world can not afford to support the work shy or more one parent families, the system has to be redrawn, its simple folks, you cant tax at 100% to support welfare, the system will self explode if no reforms. Thus the Conservative or Coalition Governments in the US and the EU will have to take drastic unpopular decisions, otherwise down the line there will be no money, the good days are over folks, those 1960s drugs of lose living and welfare is coming to an end.

Reagan MOVIE

Guardian: Reports that a film biopic on the life of Ronald Reagan is to made in the US. Lets hope Hollywood does not take pot shots at the late President, his election in 1980 was a great turning point for the US and the West. After the Reagan two terms had come to and end, the Cold War was over, the USSR was on the way to the dustbin of history, Eastern Europe had been released from the grip of Moscow and the USSR. The 80s in economic terms was a great success, Reagan cut the taxes of Americans, thus the economic boom and low unemployment. My fellow Conservatives lets keep an eye on this project, the Gipper protected us, lets make sure we protect his historical reputation.

2nd Book Launch by Tony Blair CANCELLED

BBC News: Reports that former Labour PM Tony Blair has cancelled a second related book event to celebrate the launch of his autobiography. It seems that Tony Blair is running scared of those that still protesting at his Wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, this is not what Lady Thatcher would have done, the great Lady would have marched ahead and dared the protesters to stop her, that is leadership.

Obama and Iraq = The Credibility Gab ?

BBC News: Reports that two US Soldiers have been killed in Iraq, while another nine have been injured by an insurgent attack. This is down to President Obama, the insurgents see a President who wants to wash his hands of Iraq thus his removal of troops at a faster rate that the Iraqi Army thinks is best. Thus if your insurgent what do you do, you want the credit for throwing the US out of your Country, thus you start attacks with the knowledge that the US would do another Bush surge in to Iraq. Thus it can be postulated that there will be more attacks, the severity will go up in 2011 due to planned withdrawal of all US troops. The insurgents want a Vietnam moment, the last helicopter out under insurgent attack, by allowing politics not national security to decide policy Obama has given a gift to the insurgents.

The Congressional Elections of 2010 - US

RCP: Reports on its average of the polls for a generic Congressional vote in the 2010 Mid Term Elections, RCP’s average is Republican 49.1% and the Democrats 41.0%. In other words if you’re a Democrats get on your knees and pray for not getting wiped out in November. The Obama economic record is a stone around the neck of moderate to conservative Democrats, the Obama economic stimulus has failed to create jobs, the argument that it could have been worse is BS, when politicians and Democrats political operators come out with that kind of rubbish they are spinning, Stalin would be more successful with his 5 year plan. The Obama Administration forced through health care reform against the wishes of the American people, the argument that it would lower medical costs is shown to have been a lie. The bailout of the banks and the car industry has shown that the wealthy gain, in this case the bankers and Union workers at the expense of main street. Thus it can be postulated that Obama will face the same fate as Bill Clinton in 1994, the difference is that Obama wont change, he cant, his entire political makeup would fall apart if he had to admit he was wrong about the US economy, thus Obama will be a one term President, the Republican successor will repeal health care reform, and Obama will be left with a nice pension, a Presidential picture and a punctured EGO.

The OCTOBER Test

BBC News: Reports that Coalition PM David Cameron has stated that October will be a testing time for the new Government, its in October that the public spending cuts really start to hurt. Lets hope the Lib Dems keep their political nerve, the Lib Dems will face something that they haven't faced since the early 20th Century, they will be hated, they will be seen as in bed with the Tories. The Lib Dem leadership under Nick Clegg will have to make sure that the Lib Dem backbench MPs don’t bolt to the Labour Party. This test will define if the Lib Dems can replace the Labour Party the second Party of the UK.

Tony “ Chicken ” Blair

Iain Dale's Diary: The Conservative Blogger Iain Dale has a go at Tony Blair for bailing out of a book singing session in London, Mr Dale calls Mr Blair a “ Chicken ”. Those that support Mr Blair ( and in other cases as stated this blog does and will support Mr Blair ) will ask why this sudden political attack on Mr Blair by this blog, it is simple, this blog always asks what would Lady Thatcher do in such circumstances, does one really have to ask, the protesters won run a mile if Lady Thatcher came at them with her handbag. There is leadership and there is PR Leadership, I will take the real deal, in this case it will always be Lady Thatcher.

Iran on the brink of the bomb

Telegraph: Reports that the IAEA has found that Iran has crossed the bridge to the development of a nuclear bomb. Thus the question that Israel has to ask is it being conned by the Obama Administration, is Obama set on one term Presidency that he is willing to sell out Israel as he sold out Poland and the Czech Republic. Is the Obama plan to strong arm Israel to accept a nuclear-armed Iran and get them to surrender land for nothing to the Palestinians? If President Obama makes the maths that he cant win, will he create a weak Israel as a hope of bringing peace to the Middle East. Lets not forget Obama seems to sell out allies and bow to former enemies.

Tony “ No Balls ” Blair

BBC News: Reports that former Labour PM Tony Blair has cancelled a book singing event in London due to the fear of protests. If our brave Armed Forces can go out each day in Afghanistan and of late in Iraq, then Tony Blair should be able to face a few protesters, does he have not guts, well his non sacking of Gordon Brown and allowing the UK people to have him as a disastrous PM for three years shows that Mr Blair has NO BALLS of any size.

Afghanistan Front News

MOD: Has announced the names of the two UK Soldiers that died due to action in Afghanistan on Sunday, the Soldiers were, “ Captain Andrew Griffiths of 2nd Battalion The Duke of Lancaster's Regiment (2 LANCS) 'Lions of England' Theatre Reserve Battalion and Lance Corporal Joseph McFarlane Pool of The Royal Scots Borderers, 1st Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland ”. Our thoughts are with the families of Captain Griffiths and Lance Corporal Pool.

Death in UK - Afghanistan

MOD: Reports that a British Soldier has died in the UK of wounds sustained in Afghanistan, the Soldier was from the “ Duke of Lancaster's Regiment, part of Combined Forces Nahr-e Saraj (South) ”. Thus since 2001 the UK has lost 334 of its Armed Forces Personnel in Afghanistan, of that total it has lost 294 in combat operations and 40 due to illness, accidents or other incidents.

The DOWNFALL of the OBAMA ERA?

Time: Reports on how President Obama went from hero to zero in the United States. Read of the Day.

Obama DOWN in Gallup Poll = 49% Negative Rating

Gallup: Reports on its latest daily tracking poll on President Obama, the latest trends are not happy news for the Oval, the poll finds the following, Obama 49% job disapproval, while 43% approve of the Obama Presidency. These are not good numbers for the Democrats facing a tough election in November, the ending of the oil spill in Gulf, the start of Middle East Peace Talks have not give Obama a bounce, in fact his numbers have gotten worse. In less Obama can turn the economy around and fast he will be a one term President, a charismatic Gordon Brown.

Review of Tony Blair's A Journey

Guardian: A good review in the Guardian for Tony Blair, the article states the following, “ this is a more honest political memoir than most and more open in many respects than I had anticipated. ”. This blog is still in the process of reading the book, what it has noticed is on my tweet page, little gems that didn’t make the papers, but it is a page turner, might not win the Noble Prize for Lit, but will be read in the years to come, the book should help the PR image of Tony Blair with the UK voter, with the Labour Party that is a different question.

Blair and Miliband, that is Junior!

Telegraph: Reports that ex Labour PM Tony Blair thought about backing Ed Miliband the brother of David Miliband in the Labour Leaderships contest, but a talk between the two showed that Ed Miliband was not really New Labour. One can see the thought process in the mind of Tony Blair, if the Labour Party wins the next election he wants a job, just like David Cameron has placed two former Conservative Leaders in the Cabinet. In the case of David Miliband there is a chance of the Foreign Office, with Ed Miliband and his move from New Labour there would be no job, and lets recall Mr Blair is still a young.

Failed the Troops in Iraq and Afghanistan ATTACK on Blair and Brown

BBC News: Reports on critical comments by the former head of the UK Army Sir Gen Sir Richard Dannatt on the conduct of the Wars in Iraq and Afghanistan by Labour Prime Ministers Tony Blair and Gordon Brown. The basic attack folks is that Gordon Brown while Chancellor of the Exchequer would not fund the Wars of Tony Blair, and that Blair was afraid to order his future successor. The in essence Labour feuds costs the lives of brave soldiers, lets be honest most political disagreements don’t matter in the end, they don’t cost lives on the whole, but the under funding of the Wars by Brown and the weakness of Blair is a stain on their characters, giving money by Blair to hurt Soldiers is not something that will ever clean away that guilt.

Death in Afghanistan

MOD: Reports that a UK Soldier was killed today in Afghanistan, the Soldier was from the “ Royal Scots Borderers, 1st Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland, serving as part of the Brigade Reconnaissance Force ”. Thus since 2001 the UK has lost 333 of its Armed Forces Personnel in Afghanistan, of that total it has lost 293 in combat action and 40 due to illness, accidents or other incidents.

The Mid Term Elections of 2010

CNN: Reports that the Republicans are heading to retake the US House of Representatives. Thus the question that will arise is how President Obama will react, if the Republicans take the House the Obama Agenda is DEAD on Capital Hill. Thus will Obama move to the political centre or will he stay with his Liberal Agenda. This is my prediction folks, Obama is not Bill Clinton of 1994, after losing the House Clinton was pragmatic and moved to the centre, Obama thinks his extreme Liberal Agenda is the Centre. Thus Obama will keep to his path and will either not run in 2012 or will face a major defeat, the ego will meet reality folks.

The FROSTY RELATIONSHIP between Bush 43 and President Obama

The New York Times: Reports on the still frosty relationship between Bush 43 and President Obama. President Obama cant open his mouth without being critical of Bush 43 or his Administration. One piece advice to President Obama, God help you if Jeb Bush the former successful and popular Governor of Florida decides to run in 2012 and he beats you, you will have to move to France. If your President there is always the successor, so its wise to treat the guy before you with some respect because your NEXT. Lets be clear Jeb Bush has made it clear that he is not running, but events can change minds, so lets open that door IF, think if your President Obama, your have just suffered the most horrific Presidential Election defeat since Walter Mondale in 1984, that is 49 states have thrown you out, and guess who has defeated you, yes the brother of the guy you have spent four years being critical off to the American people. In that moment you become a non person, no talks with your successor, why would he need you, he would have Bush 41 and Bush 43 and their Staff. All the faults of the American Economy would be placed at your door, you would be the charismatic Jimmy Carter/Walter Mondale. Thus wise up Mr President, there is always someone after you, if a Republican and a Bush well how would you like to be treated, with some respect or as a major league disaster with no second chances!

Brown NOT HAPPY = Blair’s Book

The Independent: Reports that former Labour PM Gordon Brown is less than happy with Tony Blair and his autobiography. One has to ask what has been the Brown reaction to the Diaries of Campbell, the memoirs of the Dark Prince Lord Mandelson, the book by Tony Blair should not have been a surprise, the Brown Camp pushed Blair out, thus one has to wonder do the Blair’s and the Brown’s even exchange Christmas Cards. Lets be honest folks, Mr Brown is a political LOSER, big time, while Mr Blair won three elections, Mr Blair was the longest serving Labour PM while Brown was the shortest serving PM ever. Politics is a brutal games folks, there are winners and losers, and Brown is a loser.

Independence of the Bank of England, The Idea ?

The Daily Mail: Reports on the doubts on the claim made by Tony Blair that it was his idea to make the Bank of England Independent. On this claim this blog is waiting to see more evidence, one would still give credit to Gordon Brown, one can guarantee that Mr Brown will be going up the wall in his self exile in Scotland. At least Tony Blair had the Peace Envoy job to go to after he was pushed out of Downing Street, while Gordon Brown is a backbench MP when he can be bothered to turn up in the House of Commons, has he voted yet on any Bill?

The Left on Tony Blair

Guardian: The Dame of the left wing elite Polly Toynbee has a go at former Labour PM Tony Blair, Ms Toynbee writes the following in the Guardian, “ The timing of this book – and its postscript – is a historic act of treachery to his party. ”. Its is the usual critical attack that Tony Blair is a Conservative, well YES of course he is, that is why he won three elections for the Labour Party. The New Labour Agenda under Labour was never a high tax Party, it was Gordon Brown that went old Labour, also his public spending was more old Labour. This is why the elite in the Guardian & Independent support Gordon Brown, they represent old Labour. Also it can be argued that Mr Blair supports the public spending cuts of the new government and the raise in VAT, all policies opposed by Labour. If the Guardian ran Labour the Party it would never bee in power again.

My History or the TRUTH ? = Tony Blair

Telegraph: A very critical review of the autobiography of Tony Blair, how Mr Blair allowed Gordon Brown to bankrupt the UK. It will be interesting to read the economic policy chapters of TB’s book, it is true that under New Labour that the Government didn’t keep something for a rainy day, thus the blame has to start with the PM for the majority of those years, in this case Tony Blair, but lets be clear who ran the UK Treasury between 1997 and 2007, it was Gordon Brown, before he was Mr Bean he was Stalin.

Blair’s BOOK a BESTSELLER

BBC News: Reports that Tony Blair’s autobiography A Journey is a major bestseller. The worry for former PM Gordon Brown must be that the books by Campbell, Mandelson and now Blair will define his time as Chancellor and then later as PM. The picture that comes across while showing deference to his intellect and his political strategy skills is of a deeply unpleasant man to be around, lets put it this way, if you had a choice of being a foxhole with Gordon Brown or going over the top you would be charging over the top in five minutes. Thus Mr Brown must think about his book, if his book is just about economics it will confirm the picture of a man who does not listen, in other words Mr Brown has to come out fighting for his political and personal reputation, this might not do Labour any good but history is a harsh mistress, once a picture is drawn its very hard to change impressions, lets hope Mr Brown has good advisors.

On the Bookstand Tonight

Have just got my copy of Tony Blair’s autobiography, just read the first chapter, have to admit am impressed, it seems our Mr Blair is self aware and funny, one thing that struck me on reading the first chapter is how honest Mr Blair is being, how after the 1997 election while every else was going off the deep end in celebration Mr Blair realised that this was a major new stage in his career. Mr Blair admits that he was afraid when he entered Downing Street for the firs time as PM. This is just the first chapter folks, but looks good, just this quick review as I have not seen this mentioned in other comments on the book. One can see why it will be a major bestseller, it seems that the Dark Prince Lord Mandelson will have a good fight on his hands in the books charts.

In my WORDS - Tony Blair

Read Tony Blair in his own words. The Web Site for the Memoirs of Tony Blair.

Does Blair SUPPORT the Coalition Government ?

Guardian: Reports that Tony Blair diverts from the Labour Party line when it comes public spending cuts, while the candidates for the Labour Leadership oppose any cuts , Tony Blair argues it should be what is cut not that there needs to be cuts. This will drive the Labour Party bonkers, the Coalition Government will use these words against Labour, is Tony Blair looking for a job in the Coalition, what about at the next Cabinet Reshuffle PM Cameron asks Mr Blair to reform Welfare as Secretary of State for Work and Pensions.

Brown Blackmailed Blair! = Cash for honours and Pension Reform

Telegraph: Reports that then Chancellor of the Exchequer Gordon Brown tried to blackmail his own PM, the article states that during the cash for honours investigation Mr Brown stated he would get Labour to have its own internal investigation if Mr Blair didn’t shelf pension reform. If true, this is hardball politics 101, it will do nothing for the political reputation of Gordon Brown, by his memoirs Tony Blair has painted Gordon Brown as a character with major flaws, from ruthless attempts to block New Labour reform, to causing the Labour defeat of 2010 by going back to old Labour. The FEUD is back on folks. Lets see what the supporters of Gordon Brown do to counter attack, the fun has just began folks.

Blair / Brown FEUD

The Daily Mail: Reports on the only UK interview that former Labour PM Tony Blair will give for the publication of his memoirs, the article states from sources that Mr Blair will blame Mr Brown for the May Defeat of Labour, Mr Blair will say that Mr Brown diverted from the New Labour Agenda. It seems from Blair down, through Lord Mandelson that the founders want someone to blame for the Labour loss in May, thus they have a simple target with Gordon Brown. As Mr Brown is in self exile in Scotland with the odd visit to the House of Commons the picture will be frozen in the minds of people that Mr Brown was a flawed character who diverted from New Labour with his spending spree and thus cost Labour a fourth term in power. As Mr Brown does not do people well, just ask Mrs Duffy, the picture will become the fact and Mr Brown will always be considered one of the worst PMs in UK history.

Guardian Exclusive - Blair on Brown = Disaster

Guardian: Reports on its exclusive interview with the former Labour PM Tony Blair, the former PM states that he knew that Mr Brown would be a disaster as PM due to his flawed character and his selling out of New Labour. One can hear the muffled cries of NO from ex Labour PM Gordon Brown in Scotland tonight, so far he has been stabbed in the back by Lord Mandelson and in the front by Tony Blair. One has to wonder how New Labour ever won three elections, the London Media must have been asleep at the wheel to allow these flawed characters to gain power. The memoirs of Tony Blair will really focus the mind of Labour members, do they support the heir of Tony Blair in the shape of David Miliband or do they go down the Gordon Brown route with Ed Miliband, the old New Labour founders are not going down without a fight, my money is on Blair and Mandelson.

Booze and Tony Blair

BBC News: Reports on the revelation by Tony Blair that he needed booze to keep afloat during his pressure days as PM while fighting his Chancellor of the Exchequer Gordon Brown. One can argue that this revelation is a mistake on the part of Mr Blair, you can see the cartoon writers having a field day, image a cartoon of Blair after a few drinks giving the green light for Iraq, and this blog supported the Iraq War for God sake. After reading the Campbell Diaries and the Memoirs of Lord Mandelson one can see why Mr Blair would need a drink, Mr Brown makes Richard Nixon look good when dealing with people just, also Mr Nixon was known to enjoy the odd drink, even the great War PM Winston Churchill enjoyed his drink, but Churchill had World War Two, Mr Blair had a pain in the backside of Gordon Brown, it can be argued that Mr Churchill had more justification.
