This is putting the horse before the cart, KYIV has been hammered of late by the Russians, they are on the backfoot because of their loses in the Ukraine and the successful drone strike in CRIMEA, the Russian appointed Governor has declared a State of Emergency, the Russian people do not know of the Russian losses in the Ukraine, in between those killed, injured and lost, the total is 1.4 million, the losses in Afghanistan was less but helped lead to the downfall of the USSR.  The Putin Government is worried it will face the face of the Imperial Russia and Tsar Nicholas II, the lack of gas has lead to fights and the economy is going South, even the bankers are getting on the TV to say the WAR SHOULD END.  There are people in prison for holding up a white sheet as a form of resistance to Putin.   Thus Putin as stated in the previous post could invade Poland, to see show that NATO is a paper tiger and get the West to stop supporting the Ukraine, we are the 1930s again, appeasement wont work and we have a new PM Andy Burnham who has not been tested,  being MAYOR OF GREATER MANCHESTER does not cut it, Putin could see his chance of action before 2030.

Thus POTUS is hanging tough, he favours the Blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, thus Iran, Trump might be an odd pacifist, he genuinely does not like WAR, short Wars, YES, such as Venezuela, no to long wars, such as Iran.  It will cost politically in the Mid Terms with the price of gas goes up, the Democrats will be on the attack, they hate Trump so much they would rather lose the Iran War, than Trump have a win.  On this Trump has impressed this blog!

POTUS is desperate to get a deal before the Mid Terms, he knows that Democtrats will use the issue of affordability against him, gas has gone up, the cost of goods in stores.  The War was a choice one, he did not build support for a WAR, there are no Allies with the exception of Israel.  It's Trump's war, one for him to solve.

PM Truss is going BIG, she knows that this decision on a cap on energy prices will either lift her in the polls, ready for the 2024 general election or it will sink her.  The freeze of gas prices should go down well with the voters, and help for business will save jobs.  Also inflation will go down.  The cost of the scheme, will be paid by future generations, life is tough, but then in the decades ahead, most of us will be pushing up the daises, thus not our problem.  The Labour Party will find it hard to argue that the scheme is WRONG, the Truss Government is nicking their idea, that is the problem with Opposition, you might come up with a good idea, then the Government takes it on and their idea.  The Labour Party wants a windfall tax, Truss has said a CLEAR NO, this is against Conservative theory, the Chancellor Sunak has already taxed the companies with a windfall tax, this was opposed by Truss in her leadership contest with Sunak.  The polls will be interesting, one would think that the Conservatives would narrow the lead with Labour, also the tax cuts should also gain support.  Thus far so good for Truss. 

No Gas from Russia to Europe - Reaction to Western Sanctions - Ukraine - Russian War

This shows that the Western sanctions are working, the Russians are using the only economic tool they can against Europe.  The Germans are going to spend 65 billion to help the German people, this is down the gas hikes on the market due to the fact that Russia has invade the Ukraine and the West is supporting the KYIV Government through the use of sanctions, it is expected that PM Liz Truss will spend one hundred billion on keeping the gas prices at a lower level for customers due to the price hikes on the market.  One can only hope that it will be a mild winter, otherwise the West will be tested, one only hopes that the British people show the spirit our great grandfathers and grandfathers showed during WW2.  A testing time for the West.

This ability of Joe Biden to muck up going on a bike shows that he is not fit to be President, he fell after he had stopped to talk to reporters, this is like the 1st episode of the West Wing when President Jed Bartlet also fell of his bike.  The REAL White House must have their heads in their hands, Joe Biden is no Jed Bartlet, while Biden has many faults, Bartlet lied about his MS in his first Presidential run and let his wife take the blame for hiding his MS.  Thus a lying SOB, while Biden has been worse, he left Afghanistan to the Taliban, and in the process got 13 US Military personnel killed, and left the poor people of Afghanistan to the mercies of the Taliban.  The President then did not prevent Russia invading the Ukraine.  The President is trying to have it two ways, helping the Army of Ukraine with arms and weapons, but not enough, they need heavy weapons, the Russians are making gradual success in East Ukraine, the Biden Oval cannot afford to lose Ukraine, it cannot allow Russia to tear the Country apart by taking South East Ukraine.  As the British PM stated, Putin must be lose in the Ukraine and be seen to lose.  Even the EU has decide to give Ukraine CANDIDATE membership of the EU, they are in the waiting room, the EU wants internal Ukraine reforms before it becomes a member.  Biden has the MID TERM in November, if the Republicans take the House and Senate, the Biden Oval should expect a LOT OF PAIN, investigations right up the backside of the Biden Oval.  The Republicans will start with the President's son, Hunter, that should be interesting for President Biden.  If Biden stated he was not running in 2024, the Republicans might let him off the hook when it comes to Hunter, if he really decides to run, expect Fox News to have 24 hours coverage of the House as it investigates the Biden Oval, over Hunter, Afghanistan and the Russian invasion of the Ukraine.  President Bartlet got a 2nd term, ( the 2nd term was an aborted 3 year run, in whole 7 years of the series ), one really has doubt that Biden will run again. The only exception is if Trump decides to run again, Biden might like his chances, the problem is he will have to run on record, and he cannot hide in his bunker like in 2020.

What is it with this Administration when it comes to Iran, the Tehran Regime wants it nuke, they see that the US has done nothing when it comes to North Korea and has not sent NATO troops in to the Ukraine.  The appeasers in the Biden Administration have been seeking a renewed Obama Deal, it was BAD DEAL then, its even a worse deal NOW.  One can assume that Tehran has enough nuclear material to make the BOMB, that is a nuclear bomb.  One assumes that if they have the bomb or are close to getting the bomb, then ISRAEL will ACT, it will not wait for Biden to wake up.  A nuclear armed Iran, is a THREAT to Israel, thus one expects either that Biden and Allies do something or ISRAEL will act on its own.  The US, Israel, and Gulf Allies see a nuclear armed Iran as a THREAT, one can be sure that if Iran gets the bomb, Saudi Arabia will spend the trillions it has on developing in its own bomb or buy one on the black market.  Thus Biden has a choice, if the US attacks Iran, then Tehran might not react, yes some missile attacks on Iraq and other US bases but not ALL OUT WAR, if Israel has to act, then Tehran might start a regional WAR, do we really want to see the gas prices then.  It is time for Biden to be a REAL POTUS and act and take the responsibility, he has to be the new Truman, he has to act for US and World Security.

The EU needs to pull its finger out and support Poland and Bulgaria, what is the point of being part of the EU if the rest of the EU does not come to support of States that are following EU rules, one assumes the Russian picked on Poland and Bulgaria as an example to Germany, the Berlin Government has gotten off the dime and is NOW giving Tanks to Ukraine, thus this cut off gas to Poland and Bulgaria is a message to BERLIN, be careful how far you go, it is pure blackmail.  Thus the EU needs to gets its hand out or storage tanks to get some gas from Countries that are still getting gas from Russia.  If not what is the point of the EU, thank goodness the UK only gets 5% of its gas from the Russians, we and Germany will be the next target of Russia.

It is toast time for Joe Biden, he needs inflation to go down by November, or look like its going down, he has to beat Putin in the Ukraine, and he needs to give the impression that he has not gone gaga.  Let's be clear, Biden is no Reagan or Clinton, will he change if he gets a thumping in the Mid Terms, from his present polices so far one has to say that Biden does not know how to outrun his base and get on the good side of the US voter.  In a few weeks Title 42 comes to an end at the border, after this finishes one can expect a massive migration surge, that will not go down well with the voter, they will see migration as a threat to jobs, also inflation could go up and Putin ambitions might not just be the Ukraine.  Thus POTUS has snookered himself, as reported in my previous post, Biden has told former President Obama that he wants to run again in 2024, if the Republicans take the House and Senate by big numbers, there will be pressure for Biden not to run, and for other candidates to comes out, otherwise Trump or someone Trump light could WIN in 2024.

The above shows that the Russians can never be trusted, they want a WAR of attrition , they want to wear down the Kyiv Forces, as stated this is going to be like World War 1, 1914 - 18, and let's recall the Germans were the first to use gas, so Putin might decide to use chemical weapons on Mariupol or Chernihiv, Putin has nothing to lose, the idea that he will be having a hand shake with the US President or the UK PM is for fantasy land, that is not on the cards in the future, it would look bad to Western voters, that their leaders are with a WAR CRIMINAL in a meeting, thus Putin has made sure he is the number one rogue nation, invading a DEMOCRATIC STATE and his LIES to the West.  The West has to find a way to get tanks and fighter jets to the Kyiv Government, also they have to keep up sanctions, the Putin inner circle might be all right but the Russian people on the street have seen their roubles hit rock bottom, and the economy is in the toilet.

Lets Get Real:

The WEST has gone far with sanctions and various companies cancelling their links to Russia.  This HURTS the Russian people, and should get them out on the street to protest against Putin, the Russian President has had his forces arrest thousands of people, from OLD WOMEN to Children.  The WORDS WAR and INVASION has been made illegal when discussed in the context of the Ukraine, teachers have been told what to teach when it comes to the WAR in the UKRAINE.  The pressure is good and Putin himself has stated that the sanctions are akin to a declaration of WAR.  The pressure in Russia needs to be increased, the WEST, in this case the US, UK, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands have to cut their oil and gas consummation from Russia, this will really hurt Russia, if Putin cannot supply money to his WAR then the Russians will need to retreat.  Also the US and the West has to consider a NO FLY ZONE, who really thinks Putin will stop in the Ukraine if he wins, there is Poland next door and the Baltic States.  Thus better for the West to take charge of this Ukraine WAR, dare Putin to shoot down a NATO Plane, he might back off, there are no guarantees in WAR, but worth the risk, if WW3 has already started then time to advance WESTERN interests and dare Putin to ACT.

As noted in the article Germany, Italy might have a problem with the banning of Russian gas and oil, today oil is running $130 dollars, what might happen if Western Europe has to go and look for other area for oil.  It can be postulated China will take the extra oil, they might get it at a lower price from Putin, thus spurring on the ECONOMY of China as the WORLD comes out of COVID - 19.  The West has to make Putin lose in the Ukraine, otherwise the Russian Federation will be up to the Polish border, how long before Putin's complains about that and we risk Putin placing pressure on Poland and the NATO States, thus a chance of World War 3,so whatever happens in the Ukraine, Russian and PUTIN must be stopped whatever the cost to the consumers of OIL AND PETNROL, its that on World War 3 down the road.  The economic sanctions of the West will hurt Russia and the Russian people, but half of the population support the action in the Ukraine, they have been feed Russian lies by Putin, he controls TV and the Press.  The word INVASION and WAR has been declared illegal by the     Russian Duma and men, women and even children are being arrested if they oppose the WAR.

Why is the FRENCH PRESIDENT still speaking to Putin, he is a WAR CRIMINAL of the first order, also it makes Putin believe that the West will come around after he wins in the Ukraine.  The West has not pulled the plug on his oil and gas revenue, thus he knows that there are military limits and economic limits to the actions by the West.  The Ukraine is asking for a NO FLU ZONE, that cannot happen, if it did it could lead to WW3, thus the West is right to refuse that, when it comes to oil and gas sanctions, then the West is on very shaky moral ground, the politicians do not want to cause inflation to go up and also the cost of petrol, how much is the general public willing to pay or not pay for their gas, if heating or driving costs more are the general public willing to support their political leaders if those leaders place sanctions on them.  That is a political question that the West so far does not want to answer, it is happy to supply lethal military kit to Kiev but there are limits, the West is does not want WW3, and Putin knows that, if he is sane and that is open to question.
